NoteWhen this article originally ran we only published a little over half. This was all I received. Here is the article in it’s entirety.About the Author: As you do not know me, I am the Chief Designer for Chaturanga Concepts, a new gaming company. In June 2001, we are releasing a supplement that I designed for “Maul of America,” the zombie boardgame by Jolly Roger Games. This article outlines my thoughts on how to GM a good horror scenario in a role-playing game.

Okay, so it’s not GURPS. But it does space combat and it does it well, without getting bogged down. Buy this game. Immediately.

I dont know. There is something rotten at the core here. Something about find this perfect system, the need many seem to have for their favorite game to stay in print as if the game going out of print means they cant play it anymore. At the heart of this is what keeps game stores afloat, or drives them under.

Call of Cthulhu Supplement Review - Unseen Masters is a set of three lengthy Cthulhu Now scenarios or ‘mini-campaigns’ set in and around New York and similar to ‘Masks of Nyarlathotep’ of old, is designed for experienced players. The title is a clue to the fact that each scenario has at its heart some powerful mythos being(s) who act through human agencies rather than through direct contact.

The game industry is fraught with peril, egos and good intentions but unfortunately a rarely sustainable revenue model. This article will go through a series of discussions about each facet of the game industry, be itdistribution, retail, or manufacturing. So, how am I an expert in these? I’m absolutely not. Ask anyone. However I have done Internet consulting for each tier and I get to see some of the strangest things. Some of them are funny, some are a bit sad, and most are just plain morbid.

From the pages of Critical Hit, the Wanna Be emerges! I had been posting on the Critical Hit forum this little column for a couple months now. I was a little shocked when Nick asked me to submit the column official-like. But with this episode, number 10, I started on a big project and it seemed like the best place to start as an official-type column. Therefore, I removed this one from the Critical Hit forum and republished it here. Ill have something fresh next time.

Short Version: Too complicated and confused for new roleplayers, but has a good, concise summary of the Vampire background that could be useful to Storytellers orienting people to the World of Darkness. And for free, you can’t beat that, but don’t expect to get your friends roleplaying without guidance.
