Off to Constellation Convention

Its early this year, and the weather looks very nice. Cool and crisp, but not too cold is what I hope for over the weekend.
I’m hoping Sarah Hoyt, a Baen and others author, will be there so I can get a chance to talk to her.
The plan is to play in Jason Stephens’ GURPS: Sliders game. Those familar with Multiverser (my favorite RPG) know that Sliders was one of its inspirations.
Jason told me he had sixteen different worlds, and he had dropped some more. As someone who has created hundreds of worlds, I was definitely impressed at the effort for just one game at a convention. Well done, sir!
Craig Goodrick has taken on the job of Gaming Director again, which can be a pain in the neck job. Thanks.
Tommorow, I hope to run GURPS: Supers. A Federal team of supers is dispatched to the Rocket City, Huntsville, Alabama (pure coincidence that this is also the convention town) to deal with some extraplanetary objects that came in on a guided course. I’m running this for Jason who has provided the main parts. I’ll just add a bit of muscle and makeup.
Immediately after that, its on to Vampire: The Masquerade “World of Obsolescence”. Its 2050, and only the clever and cautious vampires survive in this new golden age….for humans. For vampires, it pretty much stinks as the lampposts have been UV modified to soothe human emotions (5% less Nighttime Depressive Disorder!), and accidentally turn vampires into pyres. But, if you’re a smart vampire….
I’m hoping that the next morning, I’ll be running Ticket to Ride (still have some scheduling problems) which is a light and amusing railroad board game suitable for everyone from six to ninety-six.
Lunch is for my Very Bestest Niece who is three years old, or will be. My other niece is in her twenties, and will just have to be satisfied with being a bridesmaid at my wedding a decade ago.
Hopefully, I’ll get a chance to play some other RPG’s and some board games, and talk to some other authors.
As such, I may not be doing much on my Practise Bits or my games on-line this weekend.

Oh, yes, Jason created the Vampires for WOO. I hate making characters. Thanks.
