I pulled myself out of bed at seven this morning, and was on the road shortly after eight. I know that does not impress people, since some get up a lot earlier than that–but I got to bed later than some of those people get up, so I was already running a bit short on sleep.
The cause of this early departure was the necessity of my mother-in-law getting some lab work and an x-ray done. Since I have to take her shopping on Monday anyway, we arranged for this to be done the same day I would be there, and for alternate transportation to be available for my wife for the day. However, since the tests included fasting blood tests, the frail woman was not permitted to eat after midnight, and so between having the tests and going shopping we had to get lunch.
It was after five by the time I was on the way home. I decided I was not going to cook, as I had already been struggling with staying awake, so I contacted houseguests who could provide food, and swung by the deli to pick up and pay for this easier meal. It was after six before I got home, and I slept until nine, and then got started on the real work of the day.
I also hit that odd problem that is not supposed to happen, finding myself logged out of both sides of Gaming Outpost upon arrival. I find it most interesting that I get kicked from both sides at the same time.
It was not all time wasted. I did some editing on my Romans notes, at least until I was struggling for consciousness. Also, last night I put in a substantial bit of work on the new web site. The support site now has many of the most useful bits that were on the old support site, including on the fly character creation, magic skills worksheets, and handouts and maps from the world books.
Even though I’ve had a nap, I’m anticipating a long day tomorrow and still have forums to attend, so I’ll leave out the details.
