Erratic Disorder

Posted on 17 September 2007

Usually I post here before I post to the forums. Today, however, I already started posting to the forums, and that much earlier.

When I arrive, I open windows for all the new articles, blog posts, and comments on articles immediately, plus one for my new blog post. If there are Spammer posts on my own articles, I have the power to delete them, which I exercise. Generally I read the new material before posting my own, not because I’m committed to that but because I usually have that stuff open first. Today there were several Spammer posts that were on articles by others, which I cannot delete. Thus I posted a note to the site administrators alerting them to posts they probably would have noticed anyway, just to prevent these from dropping out of view (my articles usually link to previous blog posts, and each of those links generates a comment on the front page, which pushes the comments list down).

That was several hours ago. I used that time to read (or in some cases skim) the articles and comments that had been added since yesterday, and then realized that if today was to work at all, I would have to depart to address the shopping needs of my mother-in-law sooner rather than later. That is a four hour errand, from which I have only now returned to tackle the rest of the day’s work.

I have several notes telling me what else I should be doing today, but none saying that I’ve done anything. That doesn’t encourage me much, but it is not surprising. There is much on my plate for tomorrow, but I will deal with that then.

So let me tackle the rest of the forum threads, and I’ll be out of here.
