Interrupted by Travels

November 4, 2010 in Blogs

The big news is that it is now upwards of 99% probable that I will make it to Ubercon XIII.  I have cash in the pocket of the wrong pants, but I’ll move it soon enough.  I’m about half packed–all the game stuff and books except for a few threads I still need to print, absolutely none of the clothes and personal stuff, although I have set aside much of it including what I’m wearing tomorrow.  I have a round-trip ride and a full-time roommate who between them will take most of my cash leaving me enough, hopefully, for meals.  I even know what I’m going to say if anyone shows up at the Christian Gamers Guild sponsored worship service Sunday morning.  (Sometimes I talk to myself, but more often than not people have been there.)  I can’t find the small dice bag, but I’ve got the big one, so I’ll manage even if I don’t have the infamous throwing die.

Meanwhile, I managed to post today’s Examiner temporal anomalies article rather early today–Baxter needed a ride to a new job which started at the 9-5 Equivalent of two in the morning, so after driving him the half hour there and myself back, I published Hot Tub Time Machine part 4:  the fundamental problem, or dying to go before going back to bed for a couple hours.  This recognizes that the reason the travelers make their trip is that Lou attempted suicide, but the new Lou in the altered history is not going to do that, so we need to find some other way to save history.

There’s still much to do today, so I’m cutting this short (too late, right?) and turning my attention elsewhere.  I am sincerely hoping that I will be back for Monday, but we’ll see what happens.
