I know that there are things I should be doing, and some of them I should be doing here on the Gaming Outpost forums. Things at this end have been incredibly hectic. So some of you might wonder how I managed to write and publish an article about time travel, but not get to the forum games. Well, I’ll make a few lame excuses, and hope those who are awaiting my posts elsewhere will forgive me.
I wish I could say that I’ve been poking at this article for months, and finally decided to throw what I have onto this site for comment. That would not be exactly false, but it would not be exactly true. I’ve been mulling these ideas for most of a year, maybe longer, since I managed to read that book from the box of books Eric Ashley so kindly sent me, but in truth it was maybe yesterday, possibly the day before, that I actually started typing. Suffice it that my mind is that way, sometimes: I will have an idea on a back burner somewhere for months, turning it over consciously and unconsciously for all that time, and then feel that I must put it to paper (electronically, usually) so that it will come together into a clear form. The time had come to put these thoughts in order.
And, as often happens, once I started putting those thoughts in order on paper, they came together into what I hope is a coherent article. I am not so happy with it that I am ready to add it to the Temporal Anomalies site; besides, that takes a lot more work, as I have to rewrite links on many other pages to include the new page.
So I am offering the article, A Draft: Toward Two-Dimensional Time, for your comment and attention, and hoping that everything else in my life will hold together long enough for me to read and understand your feedback.
And also hoping that I will be able to get enough sleep tonight and do everything which must be done tomorrow.
