Restarting Early

February 8, 2010 in Blogs

Don’t ask why I’m up so early; I don’t want to think about it myself, and as soon as I can rectify the situation I will be back to bed.

Meanwhile, as long as I was up anyway, I figured I might as well launch the opening salvo in the new Examiner temporal anomalies series on Terminator, so I’ve already posted Terminator part 1:  a starting point.  I took a huge chunk of Saturday to finish the series and clean up most of it, which has reduced my stress level significantly now that it’s mostly complete.

The new article uses information from Terminator 3:  Rise of the Machines to reconstruct what must have been the original history before SkyNet and the resistance started tossing changes into the past.  As such, I expect I’ll get hit by the fixed time crowd soon enough–but the series anticipates that, so perhaps it won’t be too bad an attack.

So enjoy the article while I try to deal with that which has me awake so I can return to sleep, and I will be back later to see what people think and think what people see.

  1. I was up when you posted this, except in my case it wasn’t up early, it was up late.

  2. Yeah, well–it’s an hour earlier for you, and I’ve been up that late more than once myself.

But maybe you’ll enjoy the new Terminator series.

  3. No MJ, we’re actually in the same time zone. And I don’t have a schedule. I sleep when I’m tired.

  4. Realize you’re very busy, but I also got a lot out of the delntiooavs you used in preparation for Wednesday night. Any chance you might do one of those, maybe once a week? Really loved them, your scholarship shows, especially translating the words from the original text, it really helped clarify the concepts you were addressing. And, you do really well behind the pulpit. I could see people leaning forward to listen. That’s a good sign that someone is a natural teacher.

  5. Harish–I am twice confused, first because I cannot place who you are (and your Facebook profile is set on private so that’s unrevealing), and second because the word “delntiooavs” does not come up in either dictionary.com or Google, so I’m assuming it’s a typo but I don’t know for what.

Assuming from the rest that you’re talking about my bible study teachings, I’ll refer you to http://www.mjyoung.net/bible/chaplain.html Invitation to Join the Chaplain’s Teaching List, which includes the translation of the Greek of the New Testament in a five-day-per-week study. Last night I posted the introduction to Colossians, so you could join at a good moment to pick up what’s happening fairly easily.

If that’s not what you mean, you’ll have to clarify.

    Thanks.
