The Late Time Traveler

September 2, 2010 in Blogs

In The Time Traveler’s Wife, Henry misses his wedding.  The events depicted in the film are fun, but they are also problematic.  The Time Traveler’s Wife part 8:  Altared examines some of the intricacies of that event.

Meanwhile, the heat has been up the past few days, making it more difficult to complete work because of computer crashes; but I am managing, I think.

  1. MJ, how do you get paid by the links being clicked? Is it hits to the page, do the viewers have to stay there for any length of time? I may have lost interest in time travel, but never in helping my friends, so I click the link, even if I just skim the article. How does that work?

  2. John, I’m told that there is a very complex formula used which includes:

    –Number of visitors to the article;
    –Length of stay;
    –”Quality” of visitors, which I think may mean whether they read other articles;
    –Clicks on ads;
    –Page-specific revenue;
    –Readership relative to that of other authors/articles;
    –Total site revenue;

    and possibly some other factors. However, anyone who arrives and scans the article probably contributes something to my paycheck, whatever else they do or do not do.

    Thanks for asking.

    For what it’s worth, this series on The Time Traveler’s Wife is doing considerably better than the previous one on The Lake House.
