I'd worried about that. The lightning fell, and chased him, and since he hugged her, it blasted them both.

Oh--I'm a day off. I shouldn't have a problem with tomorrow; I was off a day in my thinking. It's Friday that looks bad.

Well, that's partly because you've not observed--I have done it a couple times before--but it's also because of the peculiarities of the day. I knew that by 10:30 I would have to be finished with everything, or anything I didn't do would not be done.

I'm making up for it today--it looks like I'm not going to make it at all, which is bad, because I'm probably not going to make it tomorrow, and Saturday looks bad, and Sunday is iffy as well. But life happens, as someone said.

I'm not sure how I missed this post, but I've already covered Source Code. Rather interesting and well done, but don't let me spoil it for you--it is worth seeing.

I'd say it would build up in a target, but not as much as say the shoes you wore every day.

And yes, paranoia and isolation would be the lot of these mages.

That's an interesting question...is it cheaper in a medieval society to throw together a linen glove, or to clean leather? In the modern world, yeah.

You know, it seems like this magic would be extremely difficult to actually use offensively. If it's possible to use the resonance of spellcasting to target spells back, then any offensive spells targeted somewhere you can't cleanse would give an excellent opening for a counter-attack. Or does it only build up in materials near the caster and not the target?

Also, it seems like mages would be advised to avoid public transit.

Incidentally, I would probably advise poorer mages (and more prominent richer ones) to, instead of using leather gloves that need to be expensively cleansed, get cheap and temporary gloves that can simply be burned. Then dump the ashes into a bucket of lye if needed.

I'm waiting on a movie called Source Code. I haven't seen it yet, but from the previews, it looks similar to '11 Minutes Ago' except the guy is sent back with 8 minutes to prevent a terrorist attack. I might be completely off base. I'll let you know for sure when I see it myself.

Indeed it's not yet in theaters; I covered the anticipated release date in Men in Black III Remakes History a while back, and must remember to post another announcement when it's about to hit the screen, May 25th. Regrettably, even if I can make it to see it in the cinema, I won't be able to do an analysis without having a copy to check for details, so it will be a while.

Thanks, though.
