OK, I have noticed that at times, a new post to a thread isn't showing up until several are posted-if that post caused it to go to a new page. It seems to happen more when the page is filled rapidly, such as game threads that MJ isn't running, and some of the more active chat threads. What would cause this, and can it be fixed?

There is an easy manual fix for people looking at the thread on a computer. If you just change the address page number to be that of the next page it'll go to the proper page. The forum creates the page but just doesn't establish the link fast enough.
That's a lot harder to do on phones though.

Oh. So does that mean that the bumping some people do doesn't really help?

It does help, in that every bump has a chance to force it to recognize the new page. I think people are only doing that from their phones though.

Yeah... considering that probably more than 1 in 1000 posts of mine are from my phone.

Huh--I thought I'd just posted about that, but I don't see the thread.
What Mike said. I think it's more complicated than what he suggests, because the new pages don't show until another post is posted, but it's usually the second post that creates the page if the first doesn't If you just add one to the current page you'll get the top of the next page, but you won't get the reply box at the bottom of that page because the software still thinks it's the previous page.
And you should have put this in the "Gaming Outpost Talk" forum so that Aaron would see it. It's a lot of trouble for me to move it, but maybe I can.

Hmm. I was torn between off topic and GO talk. Didn't know which was more appropriate. I felt GO talk is more of a chat area, but I'll keep that in mind in future.

Off-topic would be more the chat area, and GO talk is for talk about "The Gaming Outpost itself"; meaning, bugs with the forum, glitches, how much you love/hate bbcode, code related questions... and if you were to make a new thread titled "How do I make a new thread" everyone would probably have red spots on their foreheads where they had smacked themselves.

Ky--GO uses limited HTML, not BBC.
You knew that.
