In honor of the holiday I'm thanking all the courtesy callers with Indian accents for the courtesy their ancestors showed to mine by providing the venison

Thanksgiving never translated to Canada? Huh, I thought since we shared the same beginnings it would have.

By that logic, the entire North and South American continents should have adopted the holiday. I think this one is just us.
What are you thankful for?

The internet, for allowing me to keep in contact and make new friends. :) And meet my current boyfriend of over 5 years. :)

I'm thankful for cigarette rolling machines which allow me to roll 5 cartons of cigarettes for the price you would pay for 1 carton. Otherwise, I'd have to quit.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Given the massive downturn my life has taken this year, I find it very difficult to be thankful for anything. Still, I try to look for the good. I'm thankful for having a roof over my head, even though it leaks, and walls around me, even if they don't keep all the wind out. I'm thankful for the internet to keep in touch with my friends, even if it is some schmuck's pirated network (who leaves their password as "password," anyway?). And I'm thankful for my family, even though they really don't get me at all and are probably going to spend most of today lecturing. >.>

Osevens, first thing when you wake up, check the obituary. If your name isn't in it, the day can't be going that badly.

And I totally understand you there. I can't stand most of my family, but I'd take a bullet for any one of them.

I'm with you guys on the family thing, I love them and all, but I feel like Meg from Family Guy sometimes. Oooh, another thing I'm thankful for, I'm no longer in a school that picks on me every few minuets, stupid High School. >.<

Girls get picked on? That's a shock. If it's any consolation, ten years from now it won't matter. Yeah, I didn't believe it either when someone told me that. It's true though.

It doesn't matter now, now I laugh when people do it because it just shows what losers they are that after years of not having to deal with them, that's the first thing they do. Most of my buttons were there because they did it everyday.

A1nut, girls are in some ways worse than guys are.
07, sorry to hear about your luck. You own the property, I guess, so you can't threaten to withold your landlord's rent until he fixes it (check your local laws, in New Jersey it's legal if you keep the money for the rent in an account and notify the landlord in writing of the items which need to be repaired in order for him to get his rent). Though owning your own property is something to be thankful for in and of itself.
I was done getting picked on by the time I reached high school, and I'm thankful for sugar in gas tanks, flammable liquids mixed with thickening agents, and police escorts.
And the forum, of course.

Happy Thanksgiving, and I thought Meg from Family Guy was very doable :P

We celebrate it in two days. Today at our house with no one else, and my cooking a turkey. And then this weekend with my parents (and we may be going to Ryan's for that...good food, and its easy to do).
Got the house pretty clean, but in so doing didn't get the turkey into the oven until now. And its still frozen....so, Turkey Dinner at 10 pm tonight? I'm not getting the gears in order.
I have Lost Boys: The Thirst from Redbox to watch as a traditional style movie...:)
Tested Mr. C on fractions and he did well and learned some more, and played Rise of the Underminer with Mr. T (I was, of course, Frozone, and he gets to play the strong guy, Mr. Incredible).
I'm tired, but its a nice day.
And 07, hey, you finally got out of your world, so that's one thing to be thankful for. Now Jhiaxus can kill you,a nd then I'll kill you, and then Kyler will.....

I'm thankful for sugar in gas tanks,
That actually doesn't work. Sugar doesn't dissolve in gasoline, and the fuel filter would take it out anyway.
I thought Meg from Family Guy was very doable :P
Meg no. Milla Kunis, the chick who does the voice on the other hand......

Sugar doesn't dissolve in gasoline, and the fuel filter will take it out anyway. -- It does work, just not in the way most people expect it will. A five pound bag of sugar will likely clog the fuel filter (which does not "take it out" - it filters the offending particles and holds them), causing the car to stall and not start, and you will probably need to change the filter, possibly the injector, and definitely need to drop the tank and empty/clean it out.
Being as I've dropped a fuel tank before, I'll tell you flat out, it's not fun to do it yourself.

A potato in the exhaust pipe is a lot more effective.

Cheers to that

Vandalism, something to be thankful for :-P

Cowtrops underneath tires. They pull out, the tires go flat under them. More fun than slashing the tires, cuz you get to see the look on their face as it happens.

The celebration of Thanksgiving is discriminatory to Canadians because they weren't invited
If Graeme were here, we'd have been reminded that they celebrated last month; but they didn't invite us, either.
In honor of the holiday I'm thanking all the courtesy callers with Indian accents for the courtesy their ancestors showed to mine by providing the venison
Not those Indians.
And meet my current boyfriend of over 5 years.
Ahmetia, I think we're all glad that your boyfriend is over five years....
Happy Thanksgiving. I'm told that the cook has fallen asleep and the rest of the job falls to me.
