Concerning your healing prayer, are you attempting to:
- get each of these three other people to attempt to heal Margaret, individually, that is, get them to attempt to teach themselves a spell?
- create a spell in which three people kneeling and praying is a material component necessary to its success?
- join the magical abilities of four people together in one spell?
- do something I haven't guessed?
Give me details for skills.

The boat is by a small dock by the beach; you saw it as you arrived. It would be large enough to accommodate everyone. Do you know how to operate a rowboat?

After killing the two demons, you fired five more shots into each. By my count, you still have thirteen bullets in this clip.

Yes. And I REALLY hate the word "spell" in connection with prayer. While technically it may be be correct, it's also got some negativity to it. Of course, a lot of people think "Psychotic" is a synonym for "insane"

Rowboat, yes, four summers at Round Lake Christian Assembly. I'd say 1@5 use rowboat.

EDIT: I'm joining this prayer, so it would be 5 people, not four.

MJ I just realized, my gaming character does not have mental illness. He never did. I wonder, could that be part of the Scriff transfer? It's hard to explain how I know my character never had mental illness, but I've done some things of late that I would like to do, but my mental illness would likely prevent me from doing. Again, hard to explain. My character is no longer psychotic, but he never was in the first place. It makes sense to me, but you probably wouldn't understand even if I could find the words to explain it. Anyway, I just thought that was worthy of note.

Addressing the king "Well, Phil, would it be OK with you if I addressed you as 'Your Worshipfulness'? The only Princess I really ever got to know was Princess Leia Organa. Her rescuer, a warrior by the name of Han Solo frequently addressed her as 'Your Worshipfulness.'"

Of course, Han was doing it to mock the princess, but the king doesn't need to know that.......

EDIT: MJ, 1@8 understand time travel theory. Unless you feel comfortable giving me a higher number than that. I knew a great deal about The Architect's divergent's time travel theory before I versed out. Kyler told me that the Multiverser game system didn't exist. He didn't say a word about the time travel website.

I'll have to give some thought to exactly what skill you have in time travel. Obviously it's not knowledge of how to time travel; it's more knowledge about the nature of time. I would say that it's part of your education level, and that in application it will something you would roleplay, but I'll keep my mind open if something arises where it would apply.

In response to your suggested address of the king, he answers, "I--I don't think that 'worshipfulness' would be an appropriate title even for the bishop. I am certain that it is not appropriate for you to worship me; a king expects respect, but not more than that."

I did count you. I did not count Margaret.

You grasp the hands of those to either side and start to pray. You feel a unity growing between the four of you, as if you are in concert with each other, drawing on each other's strengths.

Suddenly there is an abrupt uncontrolled release of power, a blast of energy which knocks you down and tears into you like a grenade. You are knocked back onto the ground.

You distantly hear the king's voice. "Nerene? Olivia? Are you both alright?" There is a pause. "Well, know, of course you're wounded; but you're both alive. It looks like Margaret didn't make it." His voice is getting closer. "I'm afraid John's had it. That was quite a blast. We must get out of this strange world before worse happens. Let's bring John along--can either of you help me with him?"

That is the last thing you hear.

You are waking up now, in Cross Out a New World, John.

Kyler gave me a post "After the verse." I'm curious about what happens. Well, Pedro is on the other side, I'm sure they can figure out how to use the rowboat, and Pedro can lead them home and protect them. My job is done.

I get it. A botch being God's will. They made it. I got a large reward, and I left. My job was finished, God wanted me to go to this world. Margaret would have died anyway. I did want to learn to use some more low-tech skills, but blacksmithing and knitting will have to do.

Note to self: Don't forget to start streamlining the equipment. Why do we need an entire wrench and socket set? We have 2 adjustable wrenches. If we are in a world where we need more than that, we can get them. Why do we need all of the screwdrivers? We have a multi tip screwdriver. Keep the two biggest, and the two medium though. It seems money is pretty easy to come by as a verser, so don't worry about needing to buy things.

When I saw you had posted here, I wondered if I was going to have to "justify the dice" in some way.

I certainly do not know, nor pretend to know, why that explosion might have been necessary. I do note, however, that Margaret, the only one besides you who died, had been married to Cathcart for at least a few weeks. Although the scenario does not say it is possible for a human to bear the child of a demon, it doesn't say it isn't, and so it is entirely possible that God knew what not even Margaret knew, that her child, who would have been rightful heir to the throne, was Cathcart's son.

Besides, I really love it when a player reaches the climax of the story, saves the day, and then gets versed out--no feeling of having to figure out what to do in this world next. I was thinking about how you would fare against what I call my Narnian Dragon (the last person I remember rescuing the princesses and killing all the demons single-handedly got as far as, "That looks like a dragon," before dying; he wants a rematch). Maybe one day I'll send you to Narnia and you can face one there.
