Day 1 AS: (note below)

Since I have been able to write now because of the mind sync effect this journal is born.
Although I do not know how Lelach got her hands on the stuff to write this but since there are holy writings then I guess writing down is not a problem.
I will write this at a secret place temporarily until I can find an easier alternative.
I will also write down the dream I had that contains the conversation with people across all dimension here. (That means any reply is considered a dream)

I really wonder how mithisella look like.
"Does it look like a cotton candy or something" is what I think before I know what it looks like.
Seems pyrokinesis will be my first power I automatically learn because of mind sync effect but I am still not too sure if this is pyrokinesis indeed.
Can I burn words on a piece of leaf to write this journal?
Lets try that later.

Lelach has something else on her mind so got to run.

Note:
Still not knowing what the date or how the people (or sprite) in this world calculate days I will just put this as Day 1 AS (After Sync).

Day 1 update:

What a weird dream.

By calculating the ratio of human to sprite I deduce that the pregnancy will be due in about 2 months compared to 9 months for human.
That would explain a lot on what is happening in the womb.
I am still not very sure of this though and will consult with Lelach about it.

I am also thinking about asking the King for guidance.
There must be a reason why the King have done this.
We can also wait it out to see what happens.
The most ideal time for separation is just after birth.

Lelach (which MJ represents) can also write in this journal to answer various questions or thoughts regarding to this journey.

I can assure you, it's not me. You don't honestly think I could go this long only making single posts and writing coherently, do you? I was considering doing something like this, but I knew that, because of the before-mentioned double posts and whatnot, you'd figure out it was me within a matter of days.

John, all I can say with certainty is that if it turns out to be you I'll be pretty ticked.

I hope you will have fun while being the referee even if this turns out to be John.
While I can emulate what John do to make you think this is John but I can also do the reverse.
I would be proud of John, if John can hide his identity from me as a referee up to this point.
The point is as long as the referee is happy then I am happy to play.

Day 1 update 2:

Another weird daydream.

So now the gestation period for sprites was known to be be six to eight months from the time that sprite know she is pregnant but I am still not sure about the time of my conception.
I will try to ask Lelach about this.

Another idea to how to write this journal is by sewing the letter into a fabric but it may be a little tedious. It will be a good practice though. I will ask Lelach about this.

I may have to ask Lelach on how to calculate day in this world.
It is the same as my past world or is it different?

Now on to asking the guidance of King and meeting Morani so got to go.

Lelach and Morani have had sex quite a few times, and she understands the connection between sex and pregnancy, but the specific date of your conception is not really something she would ever expect someone could know.

The idea of stitching letters with thread is interesting. Fabric is not cheap or plentiful, but she could get some. She has no idea how much would be needed, because of course she does not write nor read, so she can't guess what it would take to do something like that. She's also not that good at sewing, although she can do it.

Days seem to be about the same length here as on earth, as near as you can tell.

Day 1 update 3:

Have Lelach ever thought of not having enough mithisella for the winter and gathered berry that day?
The conception happen before that event so it can be a sort of reference point.
Can she remember how many day have past from that event?

We are happy that Morani receive the news about the pregnancy well.

Lelach can write her belief system here so that I can find contradiction to my belief if there is any.

We will try to search for more fabric using frequency matching.
The fabric will be used to make a copy of the current journal.
We can then practice sewing letters when there is time.
Time for Lelach to write her belief then.

Seem that I miss writing in this journal because of various reasons such as busy with things and whatnot.

So Lelach believe that she must send petition to the King through someone else.
I wonder if she can ask directly to the King.

I wonder if we manage to find anything such as fabric or food with frequency matching.

I ask Lelach if she rest well using the meditation or simultaneous rest method.

I wonder how well Lelach is in writing, drawing, painting, sewing and pottery by now.
A lot of things to do so got to go now.

Day 6:

Seems like I only manage to update this journal once over the period of 3 days.
I leave the days in between for Lelach to write what she knows about this world.

I have suggest Lelach to become an apprentice to the female elders.
I wonder what her reaction is.
If she does not agree then I will suggest to her to tell her husband that she will go to see the female elder to ask the King for a healthy child (if this is a normal practice in this world).

I wonder if we manage to make a bowl for the baby.

I have been thinking of a steam ventilation system to warm up the tree by using boiled water from the pot outside and ventilating the steam inside the tree to keep the tree warm. I will consult Lelach about it.

I also wonder whether sprite can swim.
Does underwater breathing possible using the principle of baby in the womb?
Or do some other method exist to breath underwater?
I will ask Lelach about this matter.

In what weather condition can the sprite fly?
Does rain or wind affect the wing of a sprite?

If sprites can start a fire then their body can withstand more heat than human.
What is the heat or temperature limit for sprite?
Can sprite touch boiling water like it is only a warm water?
Can sprite survive in volcano lava or magma?

I wonder how is our progress in the map making and recognizing the pattern of an object.
Maybe she could map the skies (for the stars if any) next.
Can the recognizing the pattern of an object be called 'Object scan'?

This journal that is written directly to memory using enhanced memory recollection.

John, the question can be asked here. If we are in the same universe then you can post in the parent thread. This is to avoid clutter from the story and give the story a more vivid feeling.

Sorry for getting in the game, but I was wondering. If there anything in Zygote Experience about when children become self-aware? My sister had a baby a few months ago, and we were talking about that. Is he self-aware yet? Just wondering.

In the Zygote Experience, the question is is irrelevant. The only child whose self-awareness matters is the verser, and he's self-aware from Day 1 by virtue of being a verser. (It's a good thing, too, because it's not exactly a question science has answered, as far as I know.)

Gotcha, sorry for cluttering the game Max. I completely forgot about this thread.

Yeah Scott, I don't think that's a question science CAN answer. I've been told that animals are not self-aware. The dog they see in the mirror is a different dog, not themselves. I was wondering about that, seemed like a good place to ask.

Two Posts

Just something funny about the lack of self-awareness in animals.

MY uncle had a little dog of mixed origin. The dog would start chasing his tail, then biting it, then biting it harder and harder, sometimes until he was bleeding.

The theory on that, as it is somewhat common behavior in dogs is that they see their own tail as something edible, or as a possible threat. When he starts biting it, it hurts. He thinks whatever this thing is is what's causing the pain, so he starts attacking it harder, never realizing that he's hurting himself.

I just thought it was funny, in a science kind of way.

I have been thinking of a dream gather for quite some time.
Can this be achieved with M7@7 Communicate Off-world or something?
For interaction, I think each of the verser involved must have at least this skill right?
So, the person who do not have this skill (or limited by the world bias) still can give message (because God is omniscient) but cannot receive the feedback because does not have the proper skill to receive it from other world.

No one's ever tried that to this point, and there are some really challenging problems involved in it--for example, obviously every verser has to be in a world with a mag curve of 14 (to support a 7@7 skill), but since time is not consistent between universes does that mean that if the player character is not in such a world now, the effort to contact him in a different world would reach him in the player's future or past? That is, I think that Scott could not converse off-world from his present universe, but could he do so from the next?

Of course, there's a difference between God knowing what you're saying and you conversing with God. All holy magic spells are prayers to an off-world deity which are answered by the act (or not); but they can't be made conditional, that is, you can't ask God to do the cure or not based on what you want to know about the future, because that immediately makes it conversation (and more specifically, future knowledge, which is I believe 7@9). So it is that back-and-forth that is suggested by the 7@7 skill.

That means that it might be possible for someone with such a skill in a world that supports it to open a connection to someone without the skill in a universe that does not support it, similarly to communicating telepathically with someone who is not telepathic. (That can be done at a -50 penalty for crossing universe boundaries, so if you are really good at it and have a high bias world and lots of other numbers for support (like familiarity) you might be able to do it.)

Then, though, the problem is finding the right person--not merely figuring out which of the vast number of universes contains John, but which contains the right John.

An event like full solar eclipse in this world may converge the communication of current verser to a single dream right?
It can also be taken as a special event where current thread become a dreamscape where current verser meet.
Scott may have a problem though because he is playing two world at the same time.
Does Scott play the current version of him or future version when he met Brock?
It can also be a duality where current Scott will meet other verser but to Brock, Scott is in his future version.

This world doesn't exist*, so I don't imagine a full solar eclipse here would have much to do with it.

* No game world contains its own rulebook - no DMG in Greyhawk, no Vampire: The Masquerade handbooks in the World of Darkness, and so on. It follows that since Multiverser rules exist here, this is the only world which does not exist in the Multiverse.

I don't see any reason why an eclipse in any universe would have any bearing on the ability of versers in different universes to communicate with each other telepathically.

I can see "must be cast during a solar eclipse" as a possible limiting factor for a magic skill giving some bonuses to the chance of success, but it would have to be an eclipse in the world in which the spell is cast. Saying that the fact that there is an eclipse in our world "right now" is meaningless, because from the world in which you are thinking this (the sprite world), all of the eclipses in our universe are happening "now".

It is rather the world that contains the rulebook, contains the game.
Put that way we get the same result: from the perspective of the characters, Multiverser is not a game, and it is not contained in any universe, and there is no rule book for it.

We can't really think of this world as anything within the Multiverse. If it were a border supernatural, we would be supernatural beings or visitors from our actual universes, both of which are patently untrue. This world does not exist, and actually you did not originate in it--you originated in a world exactly like this except that no one ever heard of Multiverser.

How about supernatural beings in the sense of controlling avatar of another dimension?
What about deep supernatural?
Deep supernatural is not in the game is it (because any verser who go there does not come back and probably no one in Multiverse world have any idea what it is)?

Multiverser Referee's Rules that is created in this world probably could not exist in the world of origin because no one ever heard of Multiverser. I am not sure of its existence for other world though.
It is possible that Multiverser Referee's Rules exist in a world other than the origin (parallel world of this world) or does it apply to all world in Multiverse?
Can a divergent MJ might make a game called Multiverser in Multiverse world?

What happens if a character attempt to break the fourth wall or maybe fifth?

Every player is told up front that the rules to Multiverser do not exist, and they have never heard of that game. M. J. Young and E. R. Jones wrote some other role playing game, and it's not impossible that a divergent duo might write a game by the same name, but it would not be this game.

For the character, this is always real, even if he is in a world run by the rules of some other game and he brought the rule book with him. The player does not exist.

Well, considering that I can write now, why not try to write at the wall, making some codes at leaves/grass (by tearing or making a knot) or something. It will be in short form though because a baby could not write too much, right?

Month 7:
Heighten awareness.
Reduce sleep.

Month 8:
Teeth pain. Reduce then eliminate. (When remember part of Morse code.)

Month 9:
My eyes violet, hair silver.
Light focus.
Pray deer safety.
Remember (all) Morse code.
Observe understand.

Try:
Spiral leaves.
Psi body control.
Seed connection.
Thought casting. (Through seed?)
LOS (Line of sight) experiment.

Mental elaboration:

Spiral leaves:
First, draw a spiral symbol using saliva to each of the leaf that will be use for intuition training.
Second, mark an area of training (using grass that have my saliva on) by making spiral symbol where the center of the symbol will be me. The area of training should be really familiar with me and I have stayed there for more than a week thus probably gather some psionic residue of my own pattern. The effective training area will be as small as possible but still efficient for the training.
Third, scatter the training leaves all around the raining area.
Fourth, sit and put both of my hand to the center spiral of training area.
Fifth, flap my wings that the effect will be like a helicopter that is close to ground and will float the object around it.
Sixth, transfer the energy of the wings by channeling it to the leaves (using the the hands that is connected to the ground) so that the leaves will spiral upwards.
Seventh, if the leaves have started to spiral upwards then the hand will sync with their movement until they will reach a point just above my head where I will clap both of my hands together and the leaves will scatter randomly inside the training area.

Line of sight experiment:
1. Sound to sight sense alteration then mind reading when I close my eyes.
2. Telescopic view mind reading.
3. X-ray or infrared vision mind reading.
4. Target a really large tree from far away for mind reading.
5. Microscopic vision and mind reading vs using a (magical) microscope with (magical) monitor and mind reading.
