Okay. And unless you say otherwise, I'm going to assume consent on the $123.50 +d00¢ suggestion, for which I rolled 79, making the total price with tax $124.29, leaving me minus five 20s, two 10s, and one five, but plus two quarters, two dimes, and a lucky copper penny. I imagine we'll determine dates for those coins when or if it ever matters.
Alice has nail polish remover, which she rarely uses because working the late shift she doesn't really need to do her nails for work.
That's fine, I was only amusing myself. I pour it out and move on with camping prep. Before I forget, I did appreciate the Mastercard joke. Made me smile.

I'm almost ready to move forward to the trip, unless you have objections or other points of order. First order of business will be creation of Alice's arcane symbol, for the furtherance of her magical awakening. This is what I have for the ritual so far.
Materials:
* One associate to the magician
* Glass bottle, magically cleaned
* Five distinct items or materials the associate associates with mystery, awe, enigma, wonder or magic (can be anything, but must be five different things); must be magically preserved
* Glass-carving tool(s) - must be diamond tipped, no other restriction (could be solid diamond)
* Opaque pigment applicable to glass
* Translucent pigment applicable to glass
* A small fire
* Potable waterTotal time in ritual, seven hours. Timeframe: three hours before sunset; one hour after sunset; three hours the next morning, beginning at sunrise. Direct sunlight is required for the third portion.
I'll provide details in an upcoming post. I understand if you've got nothing to say at this point.

Second post - I thought of something for you to roll and respond to.
One thing I do know I'm doing on the morning we leave - I assume we leave in the morning, to get the most out of the trip - I'm going to Do My Thing to Alice, Iggy, and myself. It's a vacation, we should enjoy it.
I feel I should point out that while I have performed the Pleasure/Comfort ritual on Iggy before (which is how I got to 1@4), I have not yet performed it on myself. It will be a little tricky - I'll have to balance my holy symbol on my head while poking myself all over - but I'm pretty good at balancing things on my head, I'm flexible enough to poke myself anywhere I please, and since the ritual doesn't actually require any particular posture from the subject, I should be able to do it standing and squatting (to reach my legs while keeping my head upright).
I'm hoping this will (a) work, (b) enhance my SAL through a new use, and (c) potentially bonus my activities during the trip via that referee's-discretion +1 to attributes and skills.

Actually, I couldn't make sense of the "+d00¢"; I think I've not seen "d00" before, only "d%" and "d100" (or with capital "D%" and "D100"), and the the ¢ sign was very unclear italicized. But I have no trouble with that.
I'm assuming that you are not performing this "Do My Thing" on your traveling party until after you have created the magic focus, and so I'm going to delay rolling for the latter until after you've finished the former. You've given me materials and time factors, but I don't have words or actions as yet.

Wow, okay, you're right - a quick Google search shows that "roll a d100" has over seventy thousand hits, while "roll a d00" has fewer than six hundred.
I need to remember to focus my writing more on clarity and less on whimsy, especially in second posts. What I meant to say was, I fully intend to perform my 13@1 Induce Pleasure/Comfort ritual (holy magic) three times before leaving the apartment Wednesday morning for the bus stop: once each on Alice, Iggy, and myself, in that order.
In-game, I hope the effect will both enhance our enjoyment of the outing and help Alice loosen up mentally in order to be more open to magic and the supernatural; out of game, I hope that using the ritual reflexively will constitute a new use, raising my SAL to 1@5, and possibly boost success chances via the minor bonus to skills and attributes placed within your discretion in the skill's description.
Work on the arcane focus will not begin until we have arrived at our campsite. Since I have not yet finished writing up the focus creation ritual and I expect there are other actions that will need to be rolled for in the meantime, I will move my development of the focus ritual to another thread unless you object.

I did understand "Do My Thing" to mean the Induce Pleasure/Comfort magic, and couldn't think of the name of it (and didn't want to look it up). I thought you were doing the focus before you left, so that was the confused part.
Everyone feels well. I'm assuming that Iggy is going with you (since you have no trouble locating each other).
You take a bus from the major terminal in the Big Tomato up to route 80 and west through the Delaware Water Gap to the north central area of the Pocono Mountains. You have to get off in a "city", which is from Alice' perspective not much more than a large town (after all, The Big Tomato and The Big Apple are within sight of each other, and compared with them, even Philadelphia is a small town). You catch another bus into the mountains, to a camping area. Alice pays the fee and shows her ID, and you are now afoot in the mountains in a public park and campground.
