The site is not registering my latest post. It must think I am a spammer or something. Fix it.

*tacks on a 'please' at the end of A1Nut's post* Kidding aside, I share your pain. It does that to me sometimes too, usually after I've posted something that includes a link.

Yes, Osevens is right. Please fix it.
It happens to me whenever I post lists of things (like my character sheet) After MJ, I think I'm easily the most frequent poster, so perhaps it sees me as a spammer. I wish they could tell it to filter out some of the screen names and make them immune to the spamming protocol.

It's the "list" quality--it sometimes balks at those.
But if I'm going to fix it, I need to know what thread it's in. (It will have posted and been hidden awaiting a moderator's attention, but it won't notify me that there's a recent hidden post.)

It was my game thread. I forgot to mention that, and now you're probably not gonna see it until tomorrow.

MJ, does this still happen to you? Reason I ask is I'm wondering if being listed as a moderator gets you around the spam filter. Anyway, I can't find an option to exempt specific people from filtering and I don't want to just turn it off as we actually get a lot of spam posts.

It hasn't happened in a while, and it doesn't really happen all that often. It's just a pain in the @$$ when it does, ya know?

It doesn't happen to me, and I think that's probably because of moderator status, because I do post a lot of player character sheet "list" posts that would have that look (and in part because the Multiverser score system developed in the eighties is stuffed full of "@" signs which were also used for e-mail addresses starting about the same time, so a lot of the lists look like they have e-mail links in them when they don't).
Interesting that we get a lot of Spam posts. I'm wondering if they're mostly as new threads, because I don't see that many "other" posts on existing threads--that is, when a regular's post gets flagged, there's always a note at the top of the forum page (for me, at least) that there is some number of hidden posts. It will say something like "(16 posts)(+1)", and if I see that and click on it it shows me the hidden posts. (The downside is that if I've already marked a post as Spam, or said to delete a duplicate or something, it shows those, too, not distinguishing between posts I've already moderated and posts I haven't--which is why I told John he should tell me what thread it was, so I could activate the hidden posts in that thread and find his.) But it's very, very rare that a Spam post appears in an existing thread here, so I'm guessing that the Spambots must be starting new threads that get blocked, and I don't see them. (I don't need to see them, of course, and it might be that I just have never looked for them, but there doesn't seem any obvious link to find them.)
It is a bit annoying. I've once or twice had the problem that a hidden post was on a late page but I had trouble getting to it--when I click to show the hidden posts it takes me to the first page, and sometimes by the time I reach the last page it's no longer showing them.
I personally would not mind if the red-highlighted and yellow-highlighted posts showed on my moderator screen (so highlighted) as the default view (instead of me having to access it via the link), but I don't know whether that's feasible.
Thanks for asking.
