I've enabled spam filtering in the forums, hopefully to kill off all the spam post we were getting in the old version. If for some reason your legitimate posts get caught in the filter, let me know immediately and I'll pull them out and see if I can stop it from happening again in the future.

Thanks, I'll take care of them.

I hit a couple more that were on my articles, but Remodeling Contractor et cetera on World a Week: Action, Vasileios on Get Real: The True Value of Magic, and Stratos on Writing Practice, 05-14-2002 were not within my jurisdiction.

I check the new comment list roughly once a day and delete any I see. It's a pain but, for what it's worth, the spam blocker has caught 2,891 spam comments since the new site launched. The few that get through means it's working pretty well.

I'm having trouble with a Spam post in Max Saltonstall's continuing adventures. It was posted about a week ago by cdkeyserver007. I find it listed as +1, click to reveal it, it shows red. I mark it Spam, it shows yellow. I click to delete it, it vanishes. I reload the page, it's back, red.
What am I missing?

If I log out, the message is gone. Logged in, I see it as red. I bet that messages marked as spam continue to show up -- but in red -- for moderators and administrators. Though I'm not entirely sure. Has this kind of thing happened with other messages you've marked as spam, or just this one?

This is the only one that's stayed behind; I've deleted quite a few Spam messages, including a lot of copies of this same one in other threads, and although I think sometimes I've had to go through a two-step process, I've always managed to delete them.
