I'm sure someone thought that the idea of being less accurate with the time/date stamps on older posts was a perfectly reasonable notion; after all, who cares how old a post is to the nearest minute if it's six months old?
However, we often have threads that run parallel to each other, and to find the information I need for a post I sometimes have to find the post that was made on that same day on another thread. It has come to my attention that this can mean searching through a lot of posts if it's an older post I'm checking.
I'm wondering if there's a way to access a more accurate date stamp on posts--not necessarily that it would appear that way on the thread, but that the user could get it if he wanted it. After all, it has to be in the database anyway, so the system knows when to change it from six months to seven months, and so on.
Thanks.
