Ya know what Adam? I think I've decided that I owe you an apology. Running that game for Mike opened my eyes. A 30 roll. They were surrounded by the biggest, baddest zombies you could imagine. I rolled six zombie agility checks. Seemed like a good number. The six zombies closest to the truck who would reach it first. All of the checks were made. Then I rolled agility checks for the three NPCs, to see if they could carry out Mike's rather foolhardy (in my opinion) plan to get inside the truck. Two of the NPCs failed their checks, and are now dead. I see now that a referee really doesn't have as much control over this game as I first thought. The dice do things the referee would never think of doing. Insane character actions help. Through really no fault of mine, Mike got two of the NPCs killed. Now I'm just waiting for his agility score so I can decide if he dies or not. I guess that jeep crash really was my fault, and not so much your fault as I first thought. Sorry.
