Over the weekend, something got screwy and may have caused some troubles for people logging into the site. If this is happening to you, it looks like it can be fixed by deleting all your gamingoutpost.com related cookies in your browser. At least that worked for me.
Troubles logging in?

It took me two tries. The first time I opened the browser program, manually deleted all cookies connected to Gaming Outpost plus any I could not identify with sites I normally use (including a lot of those annoying advertiser cookies I thought were blocked), and of course they came back (the Gaming Outpost ones) when I logged in to the site, but I still couldn't stay logged in. I started over, deleting all Gaming Outpost cookies and rebooting the computer, and that seems to have done it.
The Post Preview function of the articles/blogs WordPress side doesn't seem to be working at the moment. I think I can still edit posts after publishing them, but it's easier to do it before.

I just tried to write a comment on MJ's blog entry for today, and it did not take. Should I delete the cookies? I know there was an issue with that recently.

I'll look into the post preview issue.
John, I'd try deleting your cookies. I think something over the weekend go screwed up with the login sessions, so that would mess with any time you try to interact with the site via your account (such as posting a comment). Clearing the cookies -- and restarting your browser -- will reset your login session and fix the issue.

I tried that, it didn't work.

What steps did you take? My recommendation is to use the logout feature at gamingoutpost.com/wp-admin/ and also log out in the forums -- if you aren't already after the first step. Then delete your cookies (make sure to get all of them, because there are quite a few). Then restart your browser and/or reboot your computer. Then try logging in again. Let me know if that's what you did and, if it isn't, if it works.

I think we still have a problem. I got back today, and was logged in to the forum but logged out of the WP side. I tried logging back into the WP side, and it kept looping me back to the login screen. I closed both windows, thinking I would go through the process again, then thought better of it--I wasn't planning to post another WP post, only check and moderate comments--so I came back to the forum and found that I was now logged out. I logged back in, and it seems to be holding, but apparently the attempt to log in to the WP side knocked me out of the forum side this time.

I tried upgrading the latest release of the discussion software (which is why you're seeing the new multi-page topic links on the topic listings) and that doesn't seem to have fixed it. So I just posted in the support forum for the software about the issue. I'll stay on top of that and, hopefully, we can get things figured out. I apologize for this. I really have no idea what got screwed up.

In the bbPress support forums, there are half a dozen threads on this very topic, so a ton of people are having exactly the same problem we all are. I'm keeping my eye on it and I'll try to get it fixed as soon as I can. I just wanted to let you guys know that I haven't forgotten about it.

Thanks, Aaron. Sounds like one of those things where they tried to fix something that wasn't broken and broke something in the process.
I will note, however, that the forums seem to be loading faster than they were, so they may have improved something--although at least on my screen the page flags on the index page (which are a good idea in themselves) run over the text in the right columns instead of wrapping to a second line, so that might be counted a bug. Of course, it might just be trying to tell us to break our threads shorter....

The newest version of Wordpress was released today. I upgraded GO to that and the login problems appear to be fixed for me. Let me know if that's the case for all of you, too.

I was going to post tonight to comment that over the past week I've not had login problems, and so wondered whether you had fixed something. I had cleaned out the cookies yet once more last week to get to the comments, and then when I returned I was still logged in.
I was still logged in tonight, as far as I can tell (there were no comments to edit and I had nothing to post, so I don't know if it was letting me view the control screen but would have balked had I attempted to post). The new look is pleasing, although you know I'm always annoyed by changes to layouts with which I have become familiar.
Thanks for your efforts in this; I will let you know how it progresses.
