This is for anyone hoping to play live at Ubercon who is already playing on the forum.
- It is important that I know before Wednesday that you are planning to be at Ubercon and hoping to play Multiverser. If I do not bring information about your character and your world it may be impossible for me to get it.
- If it is at all possible, it is strongly recommended that you bring copies of whatever current character sheet information you have and of at least the most recent couple pages of your game thread. I cannot promise that I will have time (or printer ink) to print all such things for all players or that you won't be overlooked. Besides, my priority will be to print the material to which you do not have access. Printed copies have advantages, but if you are bringing a laptop or other data device that works.
- I do not yet have my game schedule, because there has been some difficulty coordinating between the RPG Coordinator and the Guest Coordinator. However, I expect I will run a game on Friday evening and another on Sunday afternoon, as these time slots are always available. Liz will undoubtedly post game times in advance.
- Players must understand that new players have the priority at the convention. The point of me spending hundreds of dollars that I do not recoup in book sales is so that those with no experience in the game can discover its wonders. I offer my apologies to anyone who gets shut out of play because of this. However, in this regard, there have been players in the past who acted ignorantly at the table because I was not giving attention to their games in favor of the games of the new players, and it leaves a bad stain on your reputation with me if you act that way.
- I do not have an assistant this year. That means that I will be carrying the load of however many players are there, from character generation through several worlds. If you wish to help me with this, let me say up front that I do appreciate the help and will try to appear gracious in the midst of being frazzled at the convention.
- I am not certain what books will be available at the convention, but there will be news about the books by then, I trust.
Thank you for your support and encouragement, and I hope to see some of you at the convention.
