Spirals of light spin out, and contract around you to the tune of Buffalo Girls, and in the midst of this Fey archers try to pin you to a wall with deadly arrows, and then water flows…

Water is flowing down your throat. Your eyes flutter open, and this darkly tanned male face, lined with seams, with pale blonde hair filthy with dirt is trying to pour wine down your throat.

You’re laying in the midst of a field of red clay that has been poorly tilled. Its a rather small field at that…

He is wearing a tunic down to his knees and that’s it.

    He babbles something at you.

(cough) (sputter) “Dude, get away from me before I put a hole in your chest!!!!”

He’s got a 50 revolver pointed at him.

OOC) The book said that I could have up to 84 pounds in that pack at 2@1 strength, if I read it right. I’ll tell you what’s in the pack in a minute or two.

He stares at it curiously for a bit, but then stands up, and steps back. He’s about four feet tall. He then smiles broadly, and drinks some of it himself as if to show you ‘hey, its not poisoned’.

The day is hot, and the the clouds completely cover the sky.

You see he has a carved wooden branch, with a shaped stone for the plowbit. They are tied together. There is no sign of oxen or horse.

    OOC: ok.

Low-tech. This freak probably doesn’t know what a gun is. Glad I didn’t have to demonstrate.

Stand to man height. I’m about 6 foot 4 in my boots.

“If you really insist, I’ll take some of that wine now.”

He nods, and hands you over the wineskin. Its crude, but as I say about cooking, the first rule is start with good ingredients. The grapes that went into this were good quality.

He babbles away at you in his own language, and then after a bit, he starts back to plowing.

Cap his wineskin, set it down where I was laying, and head off in the direction of my gear. What else is around? Any other people? What’s the landscape like?

I’m sure it matters not to you, but I never considered that land deed that I got to be mine. That would have been left behind in the last world. If he ever comes back looking for a rematch, he should be able to find it. (It’s just one of those little things that got stuck in my head. Don’t worry, you won’t be hearing about it again.)

    Hammer. Glowing or normal?

  • Profile picture of Tadeusz Tadeusz said 6 months, 2 weeks ago:

The land swells a bit more than completely flat, and an occasional hill is bounded on its far side by a sudden twenty foot drop. There is a wild profusion of bushes in some places, and in others it looks as if trees have taken hold, but none are more than fifty feet tall. And here and there you come up on giant chunks of limestone laying flat, several acres of white stone on the surface of the land where almost nothing grows but perhaps a bush or three in a few cracks in the stone.

Its humid, and the clouds never break.

Its not that far, and you get to the rest of your stuff in a tiny clearing between some palm trees that grow in loose white sand. A half-dozen wolf-like things, about three hundred pounds each, have just started digging into your bear meat.

    Your hammer is glowing.

OOC: That is wise. Now Coyote owes you a favor.

OOC) I wonder what he was thinking. He’s never seen anything like an AK47. He must have thought I was ungodly fast to shoot like that. (Oh and I’m laughing)

I bought a horse. It would probably be outside my weight limit, but did it come as an associate? I’m kind of hoping not.

Here’s something I wanted to try. Take the hammer in my right hand. Twirl it around in a circle. I’m trying to Order the air around me into something more substantial. The air in the twirling circle. Order it into a mass, and throw it at the wolf creatures. So, twirl the hammer, and make a throwing gesture. Like a really strong, focused blast of wind. That’s what I’m hoping for. Blow the wolves into the next time zone. I don’t have the guns on me to fight those things, and I don’t want to approach any closer than I have to.

If worse comes to worse, I’ll just let them have the bear meat and come back for the rest of the gear later. There’s gotta be food around here. What am I saying? To me, the wolves ARE food!!!!!

    Go, Thor, go!

The first time fails, but the second time flips them back away a few feet form the meat. They stare at you confused, and then go back to eating.

1@1 Focused Wind Blast. Range thirty yards. Use Ordered hammer, spin about, thirty seconds, example Thor. Knock back RS/5 yards based on human mass. Area effect attack of ten yard diameter.

  • Profile picture of JohnA1nut JohnA1nut said 6 months, 2 weeks ago:

OOC) Actually my example was Aquaman. He does that with water. That’s where I got the idea, anyway. I promised myself I wasn’t going to call myself Thor, no matter how similar to him I became.

Well, I don’t want to make them mad at me. That didn’t have the effect I was hoping for. Let them have the meat. I’ll go and see what’s what. Come back here later.

Looking around, is there anything else of interest? Anywhere else to go? Any people?

I hammered some black iron nails in my garden and to make the house and the shooting range. I could pull those nails out of the walls. Did they come? They would be here with this. Did the nails come?

  • Profile picture of JohnA1nut JohnA1nut said 6 months, 2 weeks ago:

    Three

It just occurred to me, that would mean the house fell down. Oh well. No, it was baked clay. It would stay up. Whatever. Did the bearskin come with me? That might be worth fighting these wolves for, if they try to eat it. I might just set up a tent in this spot. Doesn’t look like anyone else is claiming it. Looks like as good a place as any, really. That bear was the second time I’ve lost a fight that I shouldn’t have started with an animal that didn’t really do anything to me. I just knew that I would be upset about the wall coming down. It would be one of those “Do it when you’re mad and regret it later” kind of things. I do that a lot. Anyway, did the bearskin come? I wanted to keep that as a reminder. It would make a good tepee. (is that how you spell “Indian tent”?) Don’t want to start a fight I can’t win over the meat. The bearskin I might though.

Eric, do me a favor. Don’t compare me to Thor. Thor should be comparing himself to Magehammer.
