Walking with Dragons ver. 2 Progress Report One
Got the files from Aaron. For which, my thanks. The task now is to reorganize, rewrite, and expand. Part of this is the ever popular job of outlining.
What the heck is "outlining" you may ask? I'll tell you, even if you didn't ask.
Outlining is where you put things in a story, article, book, whatever in the order you intend them to appear. Basically listing sections in the order they'll be appearing in the finished work. Then sub-sections within each section, and sub-sub-sections in each sub-section. Some folks go as far down as sub-sub-sub sections, but I think that's getting a little too detailed.
I do have a basic outline in my head, but it's not organized enough to present in this progress report. First I need to write it down. I'll give you a look at it next Sunday.
I can tell you that the revised WwD will have all new material, and the original will be substantially rewritten. It will not be a rehash of the original series.
Once WwD v.2 is done I'll be writing up the chromatic and metallic dragons, as they appear in the SRD (Standard Reference Document) with a few changes. For instance, instead of 12 age categories they'll have 36. You'll see why when Walking with White Dragons is published.
The ultimate goal is to combine all the WwD articles and have them published in book form. It will be OGL and have OGC, but will not be d20. Too many restrictions on d20 products for my taste.
