This is from a discussion in article comments. I'm moving it here. "Re: 12 Monkeys. Get the DVD. It features a documentary on the making of the film. At one point toward the end, they have a test screening. Everyone is ecstatic because the audience is totally engrossed in the film...they're feeling like it's gonna be a hit. When the audience fills out their opinion cards, the results are astoundingly bad. The general opinion is that it's a bad film. Gilliam is like, "I made a fucking awful film here" but the thing was, they were asking the wrong questions. See it. It's called "The Hamster Factor" and it's on the DVD version. Gilliam is crazy." OK, I'll ask: What the heck is the "Hamster Factor"? pblock "Give a child an education and you give that child the world. Teach a child to dream and you give that child worlds yet uncharted."
