Multiverser: Give your full name, and a list of your skills. List 200 pounds of equipment that you personally own, that you would take if you had to leave. Travel on mythical adventures, while someone slowly builds a personality profile on you.

What are we learning about the players? You're getting a list of guns, knives, and amounts of ammunition that people own. You're getting a list of their professional level skills. Then, you build a personality profile on the person, in the game.

What better way to pick out people that would be possible threats to the government during a times of crisis? To pick out possible militant behavior before it started? This game would be perfect for getting potential dissidents targeted long before they became a threat. Paranoia anyone?

This is just like when people suggest to me that first person shooters are primers for the army, and my reply will be the same: "Haha, no way."

The key thing here is isolation. Perhaps if MV was a large scale virtual simulator run on public servers, yeah I might be worried. But out of the eight or so of us playing, do you really think the government is going to pay attention to us? No, not likely.

I'll update my game thread soon, I swear. I've just added another two AP courses to my schedule, so I now have five.

Yeah, but I was just thinking about MJ. What If he is the leader of some terrorist organization, looking for people that would make good assassins? That might work too. I could paranoia this all day. I'm laughing about it.

And Graham, you're absolutely right. First person shooters are not primers for the military. If they were, the first time you got shot, the game would be over.

A1Nut - there ARE some FPS games (like the "Eraser" videogame) that are one-hit kills, but those tend to suck and be excessively hard.

Off course Multiverser is evil. All RPG games are, did you not know that? :P
