What about a Red Shirt Horror World?
1. Maximum Indigenous IQ is 1@7. Average IQ is 1@3. Most of the 1@7's were mistreated as children for being brains, and so they turned to evil for revenge or for fame.
2. Average ed level is 1@3.
3. Intuition is maxed out for indigs at 1@5. Average intuition is 1@1.
4. Average Charisma, Animal Magnetism is 2@1. Its maxed out at 3@2.
5. Maxed out stamina for indig humans is 1@8. If non-human, stamina may be up to 3@5. Non-human includes beings that have been radically altered.
These limits are not powerblocks, but inherent in the genetic structure of this human race.
One-in-three humans is a sophrano able to shatter glass. The average human has Dance 2@9. The average humans maximum skill is 2@1 which is typically his job.
Most mechanical devices were built by a workforce that was half-drunk. Most factories are unionized, and the workers spend up to half each day in the break room getting buzzed. They spend the other half putting together flashlights that flicker, and cars that won't start.
Any more ideas of Really Stupid Horror Cliche's?
BTW, I'm wavering between making this a Terror World (with no supernatural elements) and a Horror World (with undead maniacs coming from the Abyss to slaughter and maim)....

You forgot the most obvious horror movie element. If you have sex of any kind, masturbation included, a maniac in a hockey mask jumps out of the closet and attacks you. There is also no shortage of scantily-clad bimbos with tiny brains to tempt you in that direction.
I don't watch horror, but there was a movie a few years back in which part of the gag was that they had all the rules of what not to do in a horror movie.
One of them was, never say I'll be right back, because if you say it, you won't.
It would be worth finding that movie (the trailers had these bits in them) just for that.

Mr. Young, that would be the Scream trilogy if I'm not mistaken. They're only good the first time you watch them.
I've never seen Scream One, I guess I should check it out.
