We don't really know each other that well. Not really. I just thought perhaps a discussion thread could start about getting to know each other. I consider some of you to be friends, and other not so much. I'd just like to get to know some of you better. I have a useless trivia factoid about myself, and I just thought someone here might be interested in reading it and replying with a useless trivia factoid of their own.
Just to be clear, people misunderstand a lot of what I say. I went to see Jason X (a sci-fi horror movie, Friday the 13th Ten, if you're not familiar.) three times in the theater. I like sci fi, and I appreciate a good slasher movie. I've actually met Tom Savini in person (He was one of the leading horror movie makeup artists in the world in the 80s) And I have a great appreciation for the makeup and special effects used. Sometimes it takes hours to set up the makeup for a 30 second death scene. (And take a wild guess what happens if they botch?) That's dedication!!!! Especially if they're old-school special effects (no CGI) which Jason X has plenty of. As you may know, I was once a member of a Star Trek fan club, and I really like sci fi. This was the perfect movie for me!!!!! I'm also a bit of a movie trivia buff, if I find the trivia interesting or pertaining to a movie I really enjoy. There was a kill used in Jason X that had been done in a previous movie. I ran into an old friend of mine outside of the theater, and I said "I just saw Jason X for the third time" and then some bystander made a comment about that before-mentioned kill scene. I said "Yeah, it's because (and rattled of the details of the scene, and why it was repeated.) that's why it's in the movie" Something to that effect, anyway. I saw it as a bit of trivia about a movie that I really enjoyed and appreciated for its artistic talent.
Everybody started looking at me like they were expecting me to pull out a machete and hack them to pieces.
