I delivered pizzas for 3 years. The two strangest pizza combinations I ever saw were
1) pineapple and jalapeño peppers
and I didn't actually see it, but one of the other drivers said he saw once
2) anchovies and pineapple.
What are the classic pizzas?
1. Extra cheese
2. Pepperoni and cheese
3. Hawaiian (ham and pepperoni)
4. Mushroom and sausage
Strange combination: Feta cheese, jalapeños, and pineapple. Called it "the Bermuda Triangle." Surprisingly good.
There's a place in the next county that puts baked ziti on pizza. It's very good.
A local place just added a Shrimp Scampi pizza, but it was way too salty--maybe too much Old Bay on it, and really heavy on the garlic. I had a slice, but didn't enjoy it. Before more than a couple slices were eaten, though, someone went through and picked all the shrimp off it.
