I was just looking for that thread that I started a few weeks ago "Botches and GE rolls" I was applying Multiverser mechanics to a situation that I had, involving juggling a knife and cutting a girlfriend. Putting in the words "Botches and GE rolls" I got a ton of threads. Could the search feature be redone so that you can search by thread title?
Anyway, to finish the story of the girlfriend, we both failed our intuition checks. Yes, I was flipping a knife, but the girlfriend wasn't concerned about it. She's got a 16 inch, razor sharp knife flipping 8 to 12 inches away from her face, AND SHE'S NOT CONCERNED ABOUT IT!!!! I thought that kind of ironically funny.
I couldn't afford to pay her medical bills, (end of the month) but next month, I took her to King's Island for a day, and she actually stayed with me for another 6 months after that. I gave away all of my hunting knives (several hundred dollars worth) the next day. I'd say that would be a 3 GE roll, with an @1 increase in intuition for both of us.
I just wanted to try to apply Multiverser mechanics to real life, in an attempt to better understand the game.
One mistake people make with search systems is including words like "and" in their strings. I'm sure that word appears in every thread.
The tags are supposed to help with searches--you should be able to select a tag and get all the threads that have that tag, so if people have been tagging threads appropriately that will get you what you want a bit faster. Of course, for it to work we all have to stop and add tags to threads periodically. Scott has been very conscientious about this, but I'll admit that I often can't think of tags for a thread I'm starting, and that when a thread drifts to another subject I don't usually think to add tags to it.
