I guess I haven't had much to say, because today was the first time since the latest upgrade that I've made a Blogless Lepolt post. I've noticed two "problems".
The first is that I don't see a way to add tags to an article. That's not exactly correct. If I select the option, I get a list of the more commonly used tags (and, in the style of the site, font size indicates frequency of use), and I can select from tags on that list. I can also open the Tags section and there is a function there for adding new tags to the list of available tags, and for editing tags on the list. However, I do not see any way to connect a less-commonly used tag to an article or blog post, and I do not see a way to add a tag to an article that does not already exist. For reference, the previous version of the software had a field in which the name of a tag could be entered, and while you were typing it would compare what you were typing to find matches in the existing tags from which you could then select if something already covered what you wanted. This has no such field.
This concerns me because of course I am often adding new tags, and while some of my tags may be of dubious value to most Gaming Outpost readers, there have been and in the future will probably be new tags that represent new subjects/products/interests which ought to be included. As it stands now, I can add such tags to the tag library, but since they would then be tags without any articles, I would not be able to link them to an article--or if I can, I do not yet see how.
The other oddity is that if I have saved a post as a draft and I select preview, it does not give me a preview of the post--it gives me a fresh composition page in which to write another post. It was not so difficult to publish the article and then view it and edit it to get it right, but I would rather have the option to view the unpublished article as it will appear once published before having it listed on the front page for others to read. I've had to make some major fixes on some of my coding in the past, and I can't guarantee that I won't have to do so again in the future.

Adding new tags is on the right, just under the box for publishing (the box with the preview and publish buttons). If you don't see it, try clicking the "Screen Options" button in the upper right of the page. That'll let you pick and choose what you want to see on the new post page. Tags might be turned off.
Regarding preview, I just tried previewing a test post and it worked fine. I do know that you need to save your post as a draft before preview works. Did you do that?
Are other people having a problem with the preview function?
The tags section didn't have a place to type new tags when I was there; I played with it quite a bit, but couldn't find anything.
And yes, I'd saved it as a draft before attempting to preview it, but it did not come up in preview until I published it.
I'll have to try again another night; tonight's a bit busy.

Yes, it is.
Looking at the gray bar that says "Tags" the box is like that, and rollover on the gray upper bar creates a wedge that opens and closes the box; the box is normally open. However, the only thing in the box is the link at the bottom that says "Choose from the most popular tags". If I click that, it opens a longer box below, with the most popular tags appearing.
It may be because of my browser. I installed NS9 when I got this new WinXP system, but it did not include Messenger so I had to install NS7 to get my e-mail program to work (it's what they recommend). That made NS7 my primary browser, and I'm not certain whether I can make NS9 primary without messing up something somewhere--and how do I do it? Do I uninstall everything and start over with NS7 first and then NS9, or do I uninstall NS9 and reinstall it, or do I merely reinstall NS9 over itself? Or is it going to be much more simple than that?
I don't expect you to have the answer to that; I'll have to take some risks and see if I can get the NS9 to override the NS7 browser without losing the other functions.

I just ran through the user permission settings to see if there was anything like "can use tags but not add new ones." Didn't find anything. It's possible the browser is the problem, as the tag text field is using some advanced javascript to allow it to find old tags as you type them. Don't know.
Sorry I can't help with the netscape issues. I've been on a Mac for years, so I don't know much about browsers on Windows.
