I don't know about the rest of you, but it is often (very often) the highlight of my whole day to see "Last Poster: MJ Young" on my thread here.
Have any of us told MJ lately how much we appreciate him doing this? Taking the time out of his day so all of us can enjoy ourselves here? I've learned so much from this game, especially now that I understand better a few things that happened. I really enjoy this a great deal.

I certainly do appreciate it! Certainly after hearing from visits to hospitals and what not.
I mentioned that I was getting tired of running over at RPOL (probably my last year there and then I'm taking a break, I guess.), but that the game designer at GO (who I occasionally mention respectfully) had been running longer than I had, and shows no signs of exhaustion unlike me.
Someone commented that that was unnatural.
So, I think thats a compliment in a back-handed sort of way.

I was hesitant to post anything here. Your gratitude is appreciated, and I'm a bit embarrassed by it. Let me say I am equally grateful that you all enjoy the game and support it by playing it, telling others about it, and of course buying the books.
Eric commented that I show no signs of exhaustion, and that someone said that was unnatural. Let me put your mind at rest. I am often exhausted and burnt out. However, I have been through far worse. My first "career" job after college (in college and immediately thereafter I worked a number of jobs in security and food service) was as an announcer/disk jockey/radio personality on a Christian radio station. I went from minimum wage to maybe five percent above minimum wage, in the kind of job where your pay increases mostly to keep pace with the minimum wage. I went from company-subsidized health insurance to health insurance paid from my meager pay. I fought to keep the contemporary Christian music format the listeners actually wanted, and as I rose to program director I oversaw nearly everything there.
I burned out several times. Thing was, I had to keep going, and I knew it. I had no other open doors, nothing to do instead, and poor pay is better than no pay. Further, there was no one to step into my place, to keep the station performing its ministry, if I left.
So I kept going.
So I've had a lot of practice at pushing on when I'm past the last ounce of what I can do.
I have never been even close to that tired here, and although I've been tired, I know that a lot depends on me continuing to be here, to let people know that Multiverser is still viable. So I run games, no matter how much of a struggle it is to get here and get to the forum, no matter how much sleep I lose trying to fit everything else into the schedule.
