On my equipment sheet, I have a camouflage army jacket listed. I wear this almost constantly. This army jacket just happens to be a WW2 era field jacket with Master Sergeant stripes on it. There's no way that a common MP would outrank a Master Sergeant. In other words, that MP who arrested me wouldn't have pulled his gun and arrested me, he would have seen me as a fellow soldier, and one who outranked him. He would have saluted and done anything I told him to do.
It matters not at all. I just found it unbelievably funny when I realized it just now.
I know, I know, that poor equine carcass has been beaten to jelly by now. Believe it or not, I think I now fully understand what happened and why. I'm actually not arguing, and it makes almost perfect sense now.
It's just that when I realized a few hours ago that I was wearing a passable WW2 army uniform that would have gotten me out of that jam in a hurry, and I didn't even think of it, well, let's just say you've never heard laughter quite like what was coming out of me......
Yeah, that's ironic. I'm sorry you didn't think of it at the time.
