I was wondering, are the posts date and time-stamped when they are posted? Is there any way to tell the dates and times of the postings?
This board kind of charts my progress in my psychosis therapy, and I wanted to be able to date stamp entries, should it ever become a serious issue in my life. Thanks.

I've asked for this before, because it is not that uncommon that I need to find a post on one thread that corresponds to a post on another thread, based solely on time stamp, and "1 WEEK AGO" is not good information for such a search, and "1 MONTH AGO" is worse.
It probably requires someone to find an App for the program that does that, but I don't really know how to look for Apps (and don't have time).

The man seems to have it right. Aaron, is there any way we can get a datestamp (with or without time) set up in place of these "X Units Ago" stamps? I can deal with whatever time zone it uses (I'm not one to impose Eastern on others, and the shift between standard and daylight is annoying already), as long as I have specific dates on old threads.

I apologize for not getting to this last night. A full time job and a 2 1/2 month old daughter at home means my plans for productive activities often fail. I will take care of it, though -- this weekend at the latest.

John, the date will remain the same in the database, just the way it's displayed on the board will change. So there's always been a "real" date in the system, but you weren't seeing it. The change in formatting will affect all posts, therefore.
I updated the thread display to show the date instead of "X days ago." Is that what you guys had in mind?
Aaron, all of the posts in this thread say August 15. That's not right. Is this something that will be fixed, or is it just a glitch?
Upon further checking, all of the Behind the Screens posts say August 14, and I know that isn't right. Must be something not quite right yet.
I poked around and I think what I did is make it display the date of the last update to the thread instead of the date of each post. I'm displaying the wrong variable, in other words. I'll have to figure out what the right variable is and then it'll be an easy fix. I'll try to get that sorted away tomorrow morning. Sorry about that.
You must be in California. It says August 16, but everywhere else, it's still August 15. You must be in a different time zone.
That would depend on which time zone the server is in. I'm in D.C., but I wouldn't be surprised if the Gaming Outpost's server is in California.
And I think I just fixed it. The dates appear to be showing up correctly to me.
I can also put the time it was posted in addition to just the date if you guys want.

Actually, I think the GO server is beyond California. The time zone is higher than California's.
Aaron, this is probably going to sound a bit nitpicky, but just out of curiosity, could you set it to display the time in each person's individual time zone?
It might also be that where it's located and what time zone its clock is set to aren't the same. But the times are probably close enough for government work.
I can look into how to do that, John. Not sure how easy it is to do, though. Did you guys set your time zone somewhere in your accounts?
