The video is a staged kidnapping of a 7 year old girl on a busy, public street. It was done to test people's reactions to this, if anyone would get involved. Running the test for hours, only 2 people got involved, in a single instance. I guess a non-involvement philosophy is more normal than most folks think.

Rather what I would expect, in today's society. I'm sure some who didn't see the actual snatching assumed it was an unruly child and her parent, and the rest didn't want to get involved. Had I been there, i would have unobtrusively walked closer by them and observe until I'm sure they are not related, then called 911. Had I seen the actual snatching, I'd have called 911 immediately and then, if he rabbited, given chase. Even if he had a gun. One can't allow that sort of person he pretended to be to triumph.
I find it interesting that it was the two men who appeared to be thugs (by their dress) who jumped to the rescue. Perhaps they really were thugs, but inherently good people regardless, and their toughness gave them the confidence to help her? Or maybe those kinds of clothes are just fashionable in that region. Whatever the case, they gave an appearance of being tough.
