I have replied to my game thread but when I logout and try opening my game thread, the post is not there so I think it is possibly marked as spam or something.

There are also another post in between Scott's newest post that did not show up. I wonder if something in that post trigger the filter or something.

I think everyone has had that problem at one time or another. I know I have. Do you often make more than one post in a row? It does that to me sometimes when I multiple post.
It is only a post to reply Scott's post. Below is the post that got marked as spam. Let me see if it is marked as spam again if I try to copy that post.

Who knows? What I don't get is why they can't just tell the computer system to automatically clear posts from known posters. Just tell the Spam filter to ignore posts from the dozen or so regular posters that we have. I'm not a computer programmer, so I don't know, but that's what I would expect to be the best solution.
The properties that make a spambot and a regular poster are very similar John, and that's why it requires MJ to tell it when someone who is marked as spam is a regular poster.
Most spam filters operate on a number priority system. Some of the common ones which I think end up being problems here are:
1.Posting at the same time every day
2.Double posts
3.Posting in quick succession to a second post (implies a potentially automated response)
4.Using unknown words
That's just the most common system, but after seeing how some spam marks have worked so far I feel relatively confident that this is how the system is handling it.
Yeah, but why can't they tell the spam filter "JohnA1nut is a cool guy. Let him post." "Glantri is a cool guy. Let him post" etc? Tell it the specific people's posting IDs.

You, Max, and I are all on that list now, potentially more. It would just be an unneeded amount of time to do it for everyone though. We all set off a specific trigger or multiple, most people aren't going to do that.

No, that's happened to me 3 or 4 times. Of course, posting in a psychotic state, I'm not the least bit surprised. I've written threads that were 2 dozen posts, some of them a single sentence, that all came in within about 2 hours. Is it any wonder that happens to me?
It has happened to me infrequently, usually when I try to include more than one link in a given post, especially if they are right next to each other in the post.
It has not (yet) happened with me as far as I can remember.
It tends to happen with:
- Character Sheet posts when not posted by a moderator, because these look like long lists.
- Posts with multiple links, because these look like ads.
- Multiple short posts.
And I don't have the power to put people on an approved list; I can only tell the system that specific posts are not Spam. If you upset the system again, it will block you again.

I do not think that the software supports the "approved list" concept. Although there are things he can do that I cannot, moderation of posts and members is pretty much equal, I think.
