@ Harry's game: I certainly wouldn't be in any condition to fight for quite a while after a blow like that! Nothing I can think of says "and stay down" better than the thought of dying from... in quite that particular manner.
@ my own game with Adam: I'm in no hurry to leave this world, but whe I inevitably do, and not necessarily as the next world, but I would enjoy going to the Pearl Harbor world opening into WW2. Get to kill some Nazis ;P Goes without saying, your call, but I wanted to put it out there that I would like to go there if you're stumped for a world to send me to.
For Kyler, there's also my Nazis and Japanese Imperium divide up America with the Rockies as a DMZ world. Lots of chances to kill Nazis. Tom Day and offline I think, Mentat played in that world.
In my own game with Jhiaxus, I have a punning monster. Stalin means 'man of steel', and so I've made a version of Stalin who is a lich with a hidden heart, and a body made of solid osmium steel except for the outer skin.

Also, if you have any ideas for a world you'd like made, I might be able to do something. Right now, I'm reading 'Fab' which I bought for a buck (very good deal, and a pretty good book) which might give me some ideas on how to deal with MJ's question about the 90%.

Heheh, yeah. I used to be like how he portrayed me here. I'm not really anymore. But I'll assume I was led into the discussion. I tend to have discussions on trains, busses and streets. Usually I try to get a feel whether someone is open or not before continuing. It's not something I want to force on someone since that's not possible.

Well, I think that there is a decent chunk of people you can be polite too, and they still go ballistic on you. That's what I was trying to portray.

On Jhiaxus' game I'm thinking of some sort of 'pierces the armor' of undead boon. Or something like that. Ideas...?
If I remember the conversation correctly, I think I mentioned a weapon like Siljonic's Intelligent Longsword, if we are following those lines and since this is Multiverser, and dealing with a Norse god, maybe he would put in a Valkyrie spirit in the blade.
Maybe the blade wicked sharp, able to pierce any object, mortal or god, which was part of the original request, and since the original material was almost unbreakable, put it at the top of the chart for that. The spirit, would grant boons, powers, guidance base on will and it's evaluation of the bearer. It would also let the "Chosen One" know of his will in a direct way without having to do it himself.
That way you as the referee can control what it does indirectly, while still being a boon to the player. That's how I would do it in multiverser, in AD&D or Hackmaster, I would roll through the intelligent weapon chart.
Only, I think Odin wielded a spear. But I might be remembering wrong. Or he could put that Valkyrie spirit in the axe Adam is using. A Valkyrie is very suitable for the 'against undead' part of the boon, since they come to collect the dead, right? But I think it were only the brave warriors who died.

Odin wielded many weapons, if you look directly at the weapons list in AD&D, and in Hackmaster under Clerics of allowed gods, his list of weapons is impressive: Longsword, Spear, Axe, among others. He himself wields a spear, but his "Clerics" are allowed probably the largest amount of weapons available to Clerics.
