I turn around to hear where the voice is coming from. Seeing the blond girl I smile, glad that she showed up. Then I frown instinctively as I'm seeing what she's wearing and how she's introducing herself. It's the combination that makes me frown.
When Yasmin interrupts again I sigh thinking the same thing about the inappropriateness, but as Stephany lightnings her away my hair raises and I am slowly coming to the point where I'll throw a tantrum of my own.
"I'm stuck here on a ship with people who constantly want to hurt each other and I'm in a place where I don't know where I am and I'm trying to calm everybody down and I've taken away a knife and were in space and there is a witch and we should really not be fighting and we're in crystal space and there's ... a ... WITCH!", it goes through my head.
"Yasmin!", I shout in concern as she flies away. I frown and get very resolved and am no longer smiling. I go pick up Yasmin (or hold her down or something if she decides she's going to fight or get an uzi from under her Burqa or something. I really wouldn't be surprised anymore.
I turn to the witch and silently mouth the words "Jesus protect me.", while closing my eyes, wanting to be protected from hostile magic. "Yes! Or no, more a remark.", I answer her question. "Don't you know it's rude to fling people three meters backwards as well?! I will not tolerate any magic in here. Now if you would indeed, as you claim be able to explain what is happening here, I would indeed like an explanation. Please do this calmly before I have to put everyone here in a time out. Really, who thought you people your social skills?"
I turn to Bahdur, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean you, neither did I mean you Ron.", I say turning to Ron, "I'm just getting a little upset here. I'm sorry."
Yasmin mouths 'ow.' And she looks a bit befuddled. You see a scorch mark on her burqa.
You turn to the witch, and pray.
"Perhaps I'm not getting through to you." She pauses. "You don't dictate terms to me."
She moves her fingers in a complicated pattern and speaks several words in a tongue unknown to you.
Nothing happens.
"We would love an explanation as Nikolaj politely requested." Bahdur says as Ron moves to flank her. You're on her left, Bahdur is in the middle, and Ron is to her right. Rose is behind her, but she's got a glassy look in her eye.
"Oh, I see how it is." Stephanies says. "Fine. You have all been infected with scriff, and you're now multi-dimensional travellers. Okay?"
OOC: Penalize Hostile Magic SAL 1@2...this is a 2@ skill. Vocal, but quiet, appropriate, short time "Jesus protect me."
ooc: Am I mistaken or is to mouth forming words without speaking them? If it is, how can I see Yasmin mouth through a full burqa? I should only be able to see her eyes.
I smile as I see her spell fail. It gives assurance. "God is with me," I say, "and none can stand against Him."
I see the others on the move and am a little confused until I realize that they are making some kind of formation. "Oh man, again with the hostility. Not that I can blame them. But why would we need to fight?", I think.
"Please, everyone, calm down. We're all adults in here, right? Let's act like that.", I say, looking to everyone.
I turn to Stephanie. "Now Stephanie, dimensional travelers you say. Sure seems like it. But we haven't chosen for this to happen. Have we been abducted or something? And what's this Scriff? Some occult term? Did you bring us here? If so, please, why? If you could bring me back I would greatly be obliged. I just started teaching and the kids there, and the other kids in the after-school care would miss me dearly."
OOC: Um, its thin fabric and pressed against her face....yeah, that's the ticket. :) ::Maybe he will buy this, um am I typing what I'm thinking, oh drat...
By the look in the others eyes you've taken on some stature. Everyone relaxes just a bit.
"Random chance, bucko. Or if you're a religious nut, then your God chose you to be here." She sighs. "Scriff is the stuff between universes. Only now its in you. Means you die, and you just go to another universe."
"With different rules, like this one is based on Ptolemy and his crystal spheres."
Ron says.
"Um, yeah." Its obvious Stephanie doesn't have a clue what Ron is talking about, but she's not willing to admit it.
"So we really are all from alternate realities?" Mr. Bahdur says/questions.
"Got it in one, cutie pie." Stephanie says with an almost dead voice. "And say buh-bye to those kids, which is probably good for them. I hate it when religious people keep trying to shove their morality in my face."
OOC: Ah, so it is soundless! Then my prayer needs a bit adjusting, or we can agree that I whispered. A quiet whisper is also good for me.
My mouth wants to fight back and say argument after argument to Stephanie. Certainly with her attitude. But I keep them back. I find a place to sit and stare to the ground a bit. "Sure fits the picture.*" I say. "So what will we do now?" I'm slowly realizing that dying wasn't a dream.
*I don't know if 'fits the picture' comes across to you. It's a dutch saying to mean that it fits in with all of the rest.
OOC: Its whispered. Your saying is clear.
"There isn't any we, bucko." She sighs, and unbends a bit. "I saw on the boxes 'Mary Piper'. I've heard of four other Mary Piper ships from other versers. Never been to one myself. I wonder if there is a Mary Piper in each and every universe out there. Hunh. Anyways." She turns and begins to walk away. "Anyone who wants to come with me, can."
I keep sitting there. After a while I mutter: "I can't have died. I know where I would go if I would die... Maybe... Maybe the moment right before we die we are ... transported? And why? There must be a reason."
If there are still others present I will leave to a quiet place, kneel down and close my eyes and start to pray to God. I want to take my bible out of my bag and realize that I left it at home since the train ride to work is to short to really start reading contemplative. I'm sad. Instead I will, if the prayer guides me so, take out my Ukulele (Nele) and play some of the worship songs I have learned out of my head. "Poor Wayfaring Stranger" would be appropriate now.
I'll keep praying and worshiping until I get guidance from Christ or until an hour passes, after which I'll see if I will continue the prayer or not.
Breakdown:
eyes closed
spoken out loud (appropriate but not memorized words. It's not set but fits the occasion/ volume variable, can at times be whispered up until being really loud in other moments.)
kneeling
Bible reading for guidance or inspiration (optional)
Play and/or sing music (optional)
Praying in tongues
duration: until answered or an hour passes, whatever comes first, can be 'chained' or whatever the term is to say it can be continued.
In the prayer now I will ask guidance as to why I am here and what my purpose is here. What should I do next. When out of words I switch to praying in tongues. Often when I pray, I will start by praying in tongues as well, so I figure I will be doing this now as well.
I will probably during or after the prayer notice the vectors to stuff at work and stuff at home. I have three things of mine at a cupboard at work in Vilvoorde, about 18 kilometers from Mechelen and the rest will be in Mechelen. The train I was on would have been traveling between those two destinations. Mechelen would be North while Vilvoorde would be South then. I (the player) will assume that these would now be floating in space unless the MP is 18 km long and was traveling on the exact same axis.
I will wait upon answers before I continue.
You receive a vision.
In it, you're on a hill, and you look through a telescope and see that the people there do not know how to use hoes and plows to farm, but are using sticks to turn the hard ground. And then you come to them, and show them how to use hoes, and then they sit and listen as you teach them to sing praise to the Highest.
Awesome.
I praise God for receiving this vision. I wonder if it would be literal or symbolic. I would guess symbolic. The hard ground is a term I've often heard being used for a place (country, city, ...) that is hard to convince about God. It needs a lot of stones removed before it can be sown into and bear fruit. Tools would speak for itself. I would equip them with ... I dunno, ways to work this ground better. Ideas about testifying, working with each other, etc. etc. The fact that they sit and listen would mean that I will be accepted as teacher and they will openly receive from me.
I hope my interpretation is right as I head back on deck.
"I probably should find the captain or something", I tell myself. And with that, I do that. I'll look for someone on this ship and explain him that I don't know how I got on this ship, but just found myself here recently. I wonder what to do right now, but I am willing to work for my stay. I hope to get directed to whoever is in charge and to get a job or something.
You look for the captain, and instead find a long room set for banquet, but hung with spiderwebs. Sitting at each side of the long table are long benches, and skeletons long dead. Other than metal plates, you see each place set with large silver cups.
Looking further, you see a book closed, under the right hand of the man's skeleton sitting at the head, or foot, of the table. He's the only skeleton with a chair.
"Oh, dear God!", I whisper, "what happened here?". I pray a quick prayer for the dead. "Please Lord, bless the souls of these men, that they may find rest with you." I do know what is needed to be accepted in heaven, but none the less I pray this prayer now, out of compassion and empathy.
I hesitantly investigate the book. It could hold a clue, but I'm a bit shocked and not sure it's entirely respectful to look. I do not open the book. I will blow the dust off of it and if it doesn't really work, wipe the rest of the dust away with my hand. I will move the skeleton's hand from the book before doing this. Does the cover have a title or depiction or any other distinguishing marks? If nothing happens when I touch the skeleton or book, I will take the book and read the title page and leaf through it, trying to get what it is.
As I study the book's cover I wonder how it came that they died like this. They are all sitting here, no sign of struggle that I've seen, like something happened that killed them instantly.
If any of the others wander by, I will call them over, especially Badhur or Ron.
On the outside of the book is Greek letters. Can you read Greek?
Ron strolls by, and you wave him in. He takes one look and his mouth opens wide, but no sound comes out.
I can read/pronounce the Cyrillic alphabet, so I might get some of the pronunciation right, which would not mean that I understand what it says.
I stand next to him, a bit pale myself and quietly say. "Yeah, I know..."
After some time of quiet, as Ron shows signs of recovery I point him to the book. "Can you read this? You were talking about Ptolemy, so I figured maybe you can. I can only make this out, (I pronounce the words I see as best as I can, which would mean that it will probably sound as if it's spoken with a Russian accent.), I don't know what it means though. (My russian should be 1@3-1@4 I guess.)
You and him sound out the first words on the cover as he tries to recall what little he learned, and the words sound somewhat familiar.
Bahdur comes in followed by Rose, and they have similar reactions of shock.
Rose mutters. "Mom." and Bahdur says "Great Khan's Wisdom Preserve Us."
Bahdur knows a bit more....
Something Book Something Mary Something is what they are able to deduce of the front cover of the book the skeleton of the captain held under his bony hand for centuries.
edit because you edited. Will react tomorrow (for me) in all probability.
I look at them. "Mary... Didn't one of the crates back there have Mary Piper written on them?", I ask them?
I leaf through the book. Is it all in Greek or is there Dutch as well? "I wonder why the boxes were written upon in Dutch, while this thing is in Greek.", I muse.
I halt my thought, close the book and look at the others. "What did you guys find out? Have you found any life?"
Scattered througout is a list in French, another in English, another in Greek, another in Dutch, and yet another in Dutch in the midst of dated comments in Greek. Looking at the dates, you'd say this covers five months of a year.
The list is of the seller and the buyer of each box in the hold.
At the very end is some sort of statement, very neatly written, and all the names of the crew are signed underneath.
"No, and we found absolutely no food," Bahdur says. "Or water." His face looks grim.
I can read French pretty well (I'd say 1@7 or 1@8.), my English is pretty good as well. Last week an American complemented me on my English. I also haven't ceased to amaze my housemate with my knowledge of English. He's one part English, one part Scottish and we are renting together for about just more then a year now.
"If no-one is here we might as well check the crates in the cargo where we arrived, right?", I ask Bahdur.
After a moment of thought my eyes widen. "If there is no life on this ship ... then who is steering it?" If I was not pale already, I'd turn pale now.
First priority, check out for a steering cabin or something.
Second priority, check the cargo boxes for food and/or water.
All assuming nothing interrupts, like ideas and comments from others. from others
You see the same names and buyers in different languages, but with variant spellings such as Nova Havena Transhippers and New Haven Transhipment. There are also more varied but still similar ones such as Emerald Shippers, Ltd. in English and the French equivalent would be translated into English as Green Stone Import. You also see several curious notes in the lists. 'pd. 10e to Multiphasic Imports.' That note is in all of the languages.
You find the steering cabin, or bridge, high up on the third story of the Mary Piper (its about all there is to the third story). The steering mechanism is a metal wheel, and a good thick leather rope tied to it on one end, and the other end to the arm of the captain's chair. The rope looks frayed, and very old.
Uh oh.
You open a cargo box.
A hiss, and a snap of electricity leaves some ozone tang in the air.
Inside are Walt Disney brand P, Q, and R sized batteries, about two inches long, and from pencil width to hot dog width in size.
You open another.
A hiss, and a snap...
Potatoes, about fifty pounds worth, but full of eyes and very green and smelling off.
Another.
Suddenly a half-dozen rat-like things leap out. One scratches you on the left cheek more in haste to clamber over your shoulder and bolt for some hidey-hole than active malice.
Did the steering cabin/bridge have some sort of manual or guide laying nearby? If so I put it in my bag.
Seeing the frayed rope I stand and ponder a bit. I ask Bahdur or Ron (whoever came with me) to hold the wheel steady as I unclasp the belt of my bag. (the part that goes over my shoulder. I use this to secure this automatic pilot 'avant-la-lettre'.
In the cargo I shout that I found some food. I startle as the rats jump out and probably let out a shout of surprise. I bring my hand to my cheek and feel/look at how serious it is. I've got a basics at taking care of wounds.(say 1@4) Being fresh out of water and sterile bandages will not help here though. I'm a bit worried that it might infect. Who knows what germs these rats were carrying. I casually look for a hole in the box to see where they came from. Thinking about it. They survived, as did the potatoes, while the others there were long dead. "If we can backtrack the rats, maybe we can find water?", I wonder out loud.
If they can't be backtracked, keep looking for water in the cargo-hold.
No manual in plain sight.
You tie it off with Bahdur's help. He looks at the leather, and gives it a little tug. It snaps in his hands. It was a good centimeter and a half in diameter.
"Its been here a very long time." He says softly, the weight of ages in his voice.
You try to patch your face, and drop the bandage. Reaching over, you bash your cheekbone on the cargo box, doing more damage to it.* With some pain, you manage the second time to do a creditable job of bandaging yourself.
Ron and Rose come in. Its obvious to you that they are considering becoming a couple. He's handsome and tall, and she's cute and short. He's got a temper, and she's got some sort of honor code that involves shooting people.
Rose comes over, looks at your wound, and winces.
"Its well bandaged, but..." She looks at Ron.
"Might get a scar there, buddy." He informs you a bit reluctantly. "You tore loose a bit of your skin when you hit the crate." He points at the blood evidence on the crate.
Inside the crate, there is no sign of a hole, or of rat poop.
You open the next one.
Its a crate full of cat of nine tails whips. The cruel weapons draw a low whistle from Ron.
The next crate opens from Rose, and she discovers a dozen MRE's labelled 'Property of the King Ludvig the VIIth of Greater Belgium.'
Edit: OOC: * Yes, that's a botch.
ooc: I didn't have bandages with me, barring that it looks like something that would happen to me, yes! Lol.
I let out a groan as I reel back from hitting the crate. I find bandages somewhere and patch myself up.
"Ah well, if it's only that", I answer Ron and Rose.
We open some more boxes. MRE's (I had to look it up), are a score. I take one of the packages out and see "meal" in big printed upon it. Awesome. "Alright! This is better then shriveled up potatoes.", I say. I look for an expiration date.
I continue the search for water.
Rose patches you with one of her bandages.
The expiration date is Year 22, Month 4 of the reign of King Ludvig the VIIth. There's no current date. Its assumed that if you're a soldier in the King's Army, you're well aware of how long he's been king.
A giant head suddenly pops out of the next crate and drools at you. Its red, orange, and green with eyeballs that wander independently of each other. Its not alive, but it is four feet tall and three feet wide.
It cackles madly which brings Bahdur at a rush with knife ready, and Stephanie more sedately.
I thank Rose.
"Hmm, we'll just have to risk it I guess, even though it seems that everything has been here for a long, long time. The potatoes were still there though...", I think.
I startle and take a step back as the head jumps out of the box. When it doesn't seem to do anything else I inch closer to it and tap at it, expecting it to wobble to and fro.
if so: "Heh. Hahahah. Jack in a box. What a weird place. Who would send something like this? Weird place."
I look at Bahdur and his knife. He sure has it ready quickly. I decide not to say anything about it. He might see me looking at it though.
The search for water continues.
Bahdur nods to you, and slips the knife back up his right sleeve. He's evidently got some sort of sheath or rig up there.
It does wobble.
Stephanie points out a small rune on the crates.
"Death to an employee who opens the crates. I like their security system. Thieves get incinerated. Evidently we don't fit in the specs of the trigger for the rune."
You open the next one.
Hiss. Spark.
You see several hundred maps in fifty bundle packs each of Wonderland, Ptolemaic Earth and Environs, Narnia, Aquatica, the Nexus, and Naga World.
Another.
Two hundred Hot Wheels cars suited for five year olds.
Another.
A hundred pounds of loose leaf lined paper.
Another.
Several dozen black widow spiders (They have a red hourglass on their abdomen, and are poisonous.)
"Black widows. Poisonous." Ron says. "At least its not Brown Recluses. I hate those."
"How do they survive so long without food?" Rose asks.
I figured she would like that kind of security system. I ignore the remark.
crate one: "Ooh, maps! Nice, but not handy. Might come in handy some time later. I like maps.", I think.
crate two: I smile broadly. "Awesome, heheh. not what we need though."
The opening of crates is looking like a Christmas party. Who gets what? There seems no logic, I just ride along until we find some drinkable water or something.
crate three: I sniff the smell of paper. Nice, makes me feel at ease.
crate four: I step back quickly. "Um yeah, I know them. I mean, I know about them. It's the first time I see them for real. My Antwerp only had them maybe in it's Zoo." I look around. "Um, nobody got any insecticide or something?". I figure they will just remain in their webs to find their food.
I answer Rose. "I don't know, but I imagine they might be pretty hungry right now." I take another step back. Priorities just shifted. Safety to number one, get rid of the spiders.
I look at Ron and Bahdur. "Maybe we can toss the crate overboard?"
If they agree I'll use a quick prayer before I go near the crate. I'll whisper "Lord protect me", thinking about the new testament promise that we would be able to pick up snakes and tread on scorpions and remembering the example of Paul on Malta, bitten by a viper and shaking it off, unharmed. That would take like, what, 3 seconds? Protection from (natural) poison.
As I stand at the crate I realize my selfishness and expand the prayer to include all at the crate. "By your mercy Lord, protect us." I say weakly, but out loud. Protect small group from animal hostility. That would, I guess take from 3-5 seconds I guess.
I probably look a bit pale as I do this, and keep my eyes on the spiders as well as on the steps of the stairs and the railing of the ship.
As I'm there I look out into space. Is anything near, did we pass Jupiter already? Is there some sort of nebula somewhere? It may be that the nebula's in this place are just clouds like in earth atmosphere. It does seem like we can breathe here. But maybe the ship generates an atmosphere or something. But shouldn't it have run out or something by now then? And it does seem to move by wind. Do I feel a breeze?
That all is, if we get the crate overboard.
Jupiter is not any different to the naked eye. Its still well below you.
You and Ron toss the crate overboard with Bahdur smacking any renegade spiders seeking to escape. The crate shatters on the crystal surface thirty feet down from the railing. There is indeed some wind.
But, no, there is nothing anywhere near. You're going at a good clip you think seeing the crate dwindle in the distance, but looking toward the star you're headed too, it does not seem any bit closer.
You see a nebula below you. Whether its a cloud or not is hard to say.
As to whether the prayer was answered, its hard to say. No spider crawled on you, or anyone else, much less bit anyone.
Everyone heads back, and the next crate is opened.
Its a boxful of loaded dice.
Next.
Black metal pistol handgrips with a solid cone of some metal in place of a barrel. The device is weighed wrong, tipping forward in the hand, and the grip is hollow. There are words on it in the Aztec alphabet. There are also lights, but they don't work.
"Doesn't look like a phaser." Ron says doubtfully.
"Maybe its a welding tool, or something of a club." Bahdur thinks out loud.
Next.
Crate of popcorn balls.
Well, the spiders not crawling on us is good, seems like an answered prayer to me. I praise God inwardly and softly outwardly with a whispered "Thank you God, for keeping us safe."
About the nebula below us: Is it still above the sphere (which is only 30 feet/ 9 meters below us) or below it?
Loaded dice: that's like, dice for cheating? How do I know they are loaded?
Unidentified objects: Aztec alphabet is pictographic, right? What depictions can I make out? Didn't Rose wield a futuristic gun? "Rose, do you recognize this?", I tell her, giving her one of the objects. "I mean, you look like the most technological advanced amongst us."
Popcorn balls. "Ah, desert!", I exclaim. "Or a snack. Anyone got the munchies?", I ask, ready to distribute the balls. I'll try one myself, but offer the others first out of politeness.
You feel as if God is pleased.
Its below this sphere, and close to or at the level of the sphere below you.
Ron picks up a handful of dice, and rolls them. They all come up '1'. He does it again with the same result. Bahdur slips out his working knife and cuts one in two to reveal a tiny metal ball in the midst of the plastic.
(Good question.)
Aztec is pictographic with a lot of swirls and odd faces. You see symbols that might be a cloud and lightning.
Rose smiles.
"I guess. Perhaps my 1985 is more advanced than yours." She pulls out her derringer. "I have a two shot rocket launcher here. Whatever this is, it isn't a rocket. But this metal solid tube is..." She scrapes it with a fingernail. "Almost pure copper under a protective covering that is hydrocarbon based. It is almost like a welder, Bahdur, but it feels like a gun."
Everyone there takes a popcorn ball with Ron taking two as he jokes that he has to being a baseball player and having done a commercial for 'Ballpark brand Popcorn'. They taste fine.
Opening the next crate...
Whoopie cushions.
The next crate...
Climbing equipment, two sets of rope, axes, crampons, pitons...
Ron takes an axe thoughtfully. It looks small in his hands, but very pointy.
The next crate....
Textbooks for 11th grade physics. Stephanie walks off, bored.
The next crate...
Red Knight brand wine bottles.
I smile at Ron. "We have enough", I say as I take another one. A little break was in order.
Whoopie cushions: I grin widely and put one in my bag. It's not like anyone here is going to miss it.
Climbing gear: "Rope, interesting." I think. "I want to test something." I tell everyone as I tie the ropes together and remove my sweater (how is the temperature?) and wrap it in a bundle. (I'll use the sleeves to keep the folded body together by wrapping them crossing each other around it at least one time and then knotting.) I fasten the rope to one sleeve and see if I can lower my sweater into the nebula. If I think it's in there I'll try to leave it there for a time and reel it back up. Is my sweater moist or dripping wet or just as dry as it was?
The books: Interesting, but that's all.
Wine: Finally drink. We can call it a break for today. How much whine is there? Will
Yasmin be willing to drink wine since there is nothing else? (It is forbidden by Koran to have any fermented drink based on grapes or wheat, if I recall correctly) I look to the amount of Alcohol inside. Is it on the label? How many degrees? How many bottles? Are it one liter bottles or 75cl or less (or more?)?
The nebula is very, very far away. But you can lower your sweater to the surface of the crystal underneath the Mary Piper, and pull it back up. Its dry.
Twenty bottles, each about a liter (actual measurement, 1 glag.) 'Deep Purple: Quality' is written on the side, but no proof.
"That's serious, a serious drink." Bahdur says pointing at the DP info. He points at the large cap. "Those are the drinking cup. If its like my world, that is."
Its about two ounces at a time.
"Right.", I sigh. "Let's continue the search for water then.", we will need it, it's quite essential to, um, survive.", I say. "At least we'll have a nightcap for tonight."
You open another crate.
Four figures are crunched up inside it. They are human, and clothed in rags. They stand up, and you can see bits of flesh hanging off their faces. On one you can see his skull under the skin flap.
In their eyes is simple predatiion.
One lurches toward you, and falls face flat on the ground as it didn't take into account the crate it was in.
"What?", I say. At first I was thinking that we'd have four more guests for dinner and was about to welcome them and show them to the food. Then I saw their skin condition.
"Oh, dude, are you alright?"
"Uuuurg!", it utters as it claws at me.
"SMACK", he sounds as he hits the floor.
Once I see the malicious intent in their eyes I get shivers all over. "These guys are evil, this is evil. It's not even human anymore. Could they be ... zombies?", I think.
All the thoughts I ever had about zombies came back until I reach the final conclusion I once made. "If in reality they exist, it is a satanic perversion of the resurrection of the saints." I keep holding on to that thought and start praying in tongues while I think about how Christ is the strongest. "If He is for me, who can be against me?", I recall. I also recall how He gave us, his disciples, authority to bind evil spirits and cast them out.
By now I am grossed out and angry at these demons/spirits that animate these corpses.
Out loud I proclaim, with an outstretched arm, palm facing the zombies and looking the creature in the eyes (Mt. 6:22-23):
"In the name of Jesus, and by His authority I bind you!"
The aim is to bind the demon animating the corpse. Whether that results in the body being immobilized/paralyzed or falling into heap or starting to manifest and struggle I do not know. I have read quit some books about deliverance and tend to believe that I once, in the name, power and authority of Jesus, delivered a boy of two spirits (death and suicide), through praying and visions. There were no manifestations there. I don't know if that gives a bonus or something.
so all in all, this is it:
Bind Evil Spirit:
- pray in tongues (audible)
- recalling the absolute power of Christ, using 2 examples/references (done while praying in tongues)
- Stretch out (right, preferably) arm, palm facing out towards the opponent
- Look opponent in the eye to address the spirit. (reference + experience of seeing an evil spirit behind someones eyes ones)
- Forcibly proclaim: "In the name of Jesus, and by His authority I bind you!"
Goal: Binding the spirit so as to be able to cast it out afterward
My next actions will differ depending on whether or not this works.
White light swells around you, and you see a look of fear in the thing's eyes before it collapses. As soon as it hits the deck, its dust.
The next one out gets stabbed in the heart by Bahdur which does nothing, and it raises its arms to grab him, so he cuts off its wrists. Ron grabs two bottles of wine from the wine crate, and bashes Bahdur's zombie over the head with a screaming cry of ...
"A A Zombie!!!"
This pile drives the thing into the floor, and it goes to dust.
Urrrgg. Smack.
Urrrgg. Smack.
The last two zombies land on the deck, and it each other and head toward you. You're sure they hate everyone, but you, they have a special hate for.
OOC:1@2 Bind Zombie (these are weak enough creatures that if bound, they 'die'.)
Step back, bind another one, after a quick one second "Thank you God!". Keep doing that until we run out of zombies. After that I turn to the others, smiling. "You have just seen the power of God! Whoah! You are AMAZING GOD! Hahah!", I exclaim. I'll let the others take a rest and start praising God for some time, unless any of my companions convert and wants to know more about my God.
You try to bind the first one after you step back, but a sudden thought of 'maybe it won't work this time' distracts you. It swings at you, and the stench of its arm pits makes you want to gag, but thankfully you are out of range.
Ron uses his second wine bottle to bash the head in of the second which then goes to dust. Bahdur stabs the one on you through the head, and its dust too.
"And the power of a heavy wine bottle." Ron adds with a grin.
"Perhaps that is part of the Khan of the Heaven's great plan." Bahdur observes.
Ron shrugs allowing for that even as you dance around in great joy. They find walls to collapse against and an undamaged wine bottle to sample as they watch you, and relax in the happy feeling of 'hey, I'm alive'.
The others come in, and Stephanie shortly leaves, looking disgruntled.
I'll take a sip of the wine as well once I'm finished dancing. I look to the doorway Stephanie just left through. I'm wondering if I should go and ask her what's wrong.
I finish my cup quickly and go after her.
"Hey, um, Stephanie right? Is everything okay?"
She snaps at you.
"You're turning them all into fools like you. Magic is the proper attunement of body and mind in patterns prescribed by the Ancient Aliens who built the Pyramids. You're dressing up the clean simplicity of power with all this morality and God hokum. And because you were able to dust one little zombie, everyone is listening to you when they should be listenng to me!"
The last comes out in a wail. She really does long to be the center of attention.
Wow. I expected to be zapped or something. This is positive. I get a straight answer.
I nod my head affirmative. "I understand how you must feel. You do not like it."
I think for a second as I look at her. "I will not say that I do not believe that the pyramids where built by ancient aliens where you come from. I also believe that they might have left secret knowledge behind there, which leads to power. This power is probably very desirable. But I will say that real or rather ... good and pure, holy power comes from God. I will never deny Him. How can I when He lives in me and we communicate? I will not force this on you. We are here with me, a Christian, Yasmin, a Muslim, you, a witch or sorceress, probably some atheists and Bahdur, who talks about a Khan and the Peace. We will need to get along together, certainly if we want to survive as a group. You are a valuable person, and God loves you. Even though it sounds cliché."
