The air rushes past you, just giving you enough time to wonder if this was a good idea, then you're passing a startled Countessa who's still bouncing her way down, and you hit the car roof with a jolt that luckily caves in completely not ripping a hole through it, and trapping your legs.

With that complete collapse cushioning you, and your skill, your legs ache, and your spine feels compressed, but you roll yourself to your feet clumsily, and snap into stance as you get out on the front hood of the car.

You use your new skill Presence Attack (violent, unexpected action to stun enemies into immobility for one round with the more violent and unexpected the better) which is 1@2 and two of them keep their heads. One reaches for his revolver in his coat, and the other with the Tommy Gun opens up on you.

You duck and he fires high anyways. You kick the first guy with the revolver coming out in the chest, and go for the second by leaping off the hood and smash him in the solar plexus with your flying punch. He's unconcsious before he hits the ground.

The other two are finally getting into business, and (New roung *) you leap for them only to have a piece of bubble gum stick to your shoe just enough to throw you off so that you bounce off the wall instead of them.

Countessa has arrived, and she makes nighttime music for the other Tommy gun holder with a smack across the head with her stick and follows it up with a swing through that clips the last guy in the shoulder.

Two revolvers boom in quick succession. One smacks you dead middle in the back, knocking you down, and one would hit Countessa, but she deflects it with her staff you see by the spark on her staff as you head groundward.

OOC: Fail on quick stand, and botch on steal initiative.

*Ouch*

*2@1 Quick Stand B4@4 again to get up and since I have some running room 2@1 Leaping Kick B7@3 at the one that shot me in the back, if either are still up 2@1 Spinning Kick B7@3, and 2@1 Solid Punch B7@3 again*

Jhiaxus

You stagger to your feet, and take a leaping kick that misses the backshooter as he bobs back. You do a spinning kick, and he ducks back again, and then he shoots you in the chest, and you punch him in the nose, knocking him unconscious.

The huge .45 revolver in his hand plunks on the ground.

You turn to face the last man. You see him shoot Countessa in the thigh as she gets up from the ground. Her leg dissappears. He gapes at it.

Startled, you clip him on the shoulder with a punch, and then follow it with a rabbit punch which puts him out.

Countessa looks annoyed, and you can see her focusing and her leg starting to waver back into reality. Then you see a look of pain on her face, and she vanishes.

The metal door to the Opera House that the car was parked in front of, thrums for a long moment. The glass in the gangster's car that is not already broken now shatters. A long pause, and dogs all over the area start barking.

OOC: Why yes, that was some truly terrible rolls.

*I feel for a verser inside, if ok, I figure something went wrong with the power she used, knowing how that goes*

*taking some of the red silk strips I have on my person, and hog tie them up, removing them of weapons, cash, information, and the suit of the closest to my size, keep the cash for myself as long as there isn't a crowd yet. The Tommy Guns are worth a small fortune, but I am a good guy, so the bad guys need to be easily identifiable, I will render them inoperable, all the guns and toss then into the car, I will reach around and retreive the bullet that wedged in the nanoweave armor in back and front, thankful for all the protections I gave myself*

*Waiting for one to come around*

"Who do you work for?" *Midnight voice always with the ninja garb on*

*wait for him to answer or not, and wait for police whistles*

"You tell em Midnight is coming, tell em to find religion, because bullets won't keep me away."

*jump to another building just as police arrive, not wanting these lowlifes to get away*

*not waiting anymore donning the suit over my garb taking off my mask and heading in the front door to check on Tessa. Once inside, stick to the dark and blend in as much as possible, wanting to know if she's alright, if she is hurt and if there is anything I can do.*

((OOC: Yeah that's why I stuck to martial arts until knowing just what works and how well.))

Jhiaxus

There is a verser inside.

You get up an easy thousand dollars from the various gangsters.

The one you wake after you're dressed looks properly horrified.

"Uh, uh, Sophraniac. She's making a hit on the Council of Crime members."

You enter the front of the Opera House, and the usher looks like he'd like to stop you, but right now, he's too freaked out to deal with a rampaging two year old, let alone you. You enter the seating area, and you see a bunch of rich people yelling to each other about how they can't hear what anyone is saying.

You see one box seat section which is just exploded.

And on the left front side of the opera house, you feel the verser leaving. But you can't see her because she's in the stage left area. That's the area where the gangsters were with the car.

*she is moving, and still here, thank Odin, would have been a real letdown if she would have versed and had to find her again*

*Relaxes a bit, heads outside, and into an alley, taking the suit off, and folding it, jumping to a roof, and stashing it somewhere where I can grab it later on my way back, checking to see how hurt I am, it's hard to tell now that I take a lot of punishment, but now that I made sure Tessa is ok, and my adrenaline is ebbing, it's a good time to check*

*Will roof hop, following her, not relying on time or another fluke accident to keep him from her*

Jhiaxus

You hear a soprano cry that hurts your ears on the other side of the building. Glass in the jewelry store across the street does not shatter, but it does vibrate, and crack a bit.

Then you set off chasing her, but she's stolen a police car, and is driving it with the siren on (but no lights...those look shattered). Tessa in dark green and some others in dark suits and one in a blue gown and the driver in bright yellow are rapidly speeding away from you, and the other cars on the road are politely getting out of their way.

You can see that its Tessa because the top of the police car is mostly gone.

*The situation doesn't seem right to me, and with my deductive skills, and seeing her, does she look in trouble? She's not driving, she's a good guy and stolen a police car? She could be hurt and they could be taking her to the hospital, or she could be kidnapped. Either way, I wouldn't be much of a hero or a fiance if I didn't keep on her to figure out which*

*Since I am in a superhero world, I will try to teach myself a B3@8 run at traffic speeds. I will use for my example the Bionic Man, which I am, with my enhancements to my metobolism to make it 3x as fast (hmm, I think that can qualify me to learn regneration), in fact, I really am not a normal human anymore in that respect, so I should break out of my thinking that I'm stuck doing what a normal human can do, should have a +64 just for the bias difference, without adding in BRA, or example that probably is a 1@1*

*Going to assume I speed up my running and jumping, trying to make up time, since I don't have a lot to dodge on here, with my running at traffic speeds increase the distance I can Great Jump? I would make a case for it, but you are the GM :P*

*Also I know I'm hurt at least a bit from the gunshots, I will try to learn a 10@5 Automatic Healing skill, I would be at a -3 from the differences in Bias, but I will do a quick figuring of bonuses for a roll, example is Wolverine, in movie, tv, comic books and video games, and have examples of Sabretooth, Deadpool, The Lizard, Sasquatch, The Hulk, She Hulk, I would rate my varied examples as a 2@1

For Body skills without Bias differences the bonuses would be:

BRA: STR: +22
Example: +21 (Most will be +11)
-3 from Bias level vs the one I am learning
-15 to +15 to World Bias

Jhiaxus

She looks unconscious.

It occurs to you that the Bionic Man has hydraulic pumping, and that does not really fit your situation. But you dig deep, and find yourself sprinting down the road at thirty miles per hour. You smooth out your run, and push it up to thirty-five.

(I'd take your land speed which for a top notch human sprinter is about 20 mph I think. You're not that guy. Granted your metabolism doubles but that doesn't mean your reaction speed in your quick muscles doubles. Toss in the extra from breaking the boundaries of human ability...smooth it out...)

The car is still getting away from you, but its more of two steps forward for them in the straightaways and one step back in the short bits.

(With your Great Jump Boosted by Running at Traffic Speeds, let me note that you get a +20 DM which should make it more likely you botch, but heighten the chance you succeed. )

You leap, and make up a lot of the distance. It turns, and you run again. You leap and grab the back bumper as it makes another turn.

Shouts rise from within the car as it begins to drag you down the road almost...

*Will do a quick mind read on these people, trying to get quick glean on if they are good guys trying to help, or bad guys up to no good, I'm hoping it's readily apparent*

*If they are good guys trying to get her help*

*In Midnight Voice*

"Had to see what intentions you had toward her, I am Midnight, and I have a vested interest in making sure she is well."

*If they are bad guys trying to hurt her*

*In Midnight Voice as am climbing in*

"Sorry, you don't get to kidnap anyone on Midnight's watch."

*Will grab Countessa, or Tessa, however she is and Great Jump out of the car, if any of them try to stop me, show them what a bad idea messing with someone with a space commando bowie knife is and use that to get into my Bladedance Style and grab her and great jump away."

*Either way, I am involved, and one way or another I am going to make sure Tessa is looked after*

Jhiaxus

Doublepost

You get nothing on the mind read. Most of the people in the car are unconscious, but there are two awake. The driver in yellow and a huge man who reaches back with a bat to sweep you off the car. He barely catches your leg, and you feel the jolt all the way up to your spine.

You speak, and the lady driver laughs contemptuously.

The driver jerks the car, and you're flipping through the air to land on your feet as she hits the pedal with a screech of tires.

You're able to great jump to reach them, but the driver screams, and you see a couple dozen glass windows on a passing skyscraper shatter, and head toward the sidewalk above a drunken businessman walking somewhere.

"Good one, Sopraniac." The huge man says in a deferential voice that does not sound that smart.

"Thanks, Nautilus." She says.

*Already jumping to intercept them, can't really change course, so will do a 1@8 TK Pulse P4@1 to knock him out of the way in the air*

*I am going to assume I can decide to jump to land on the hood, I will plunge my bowie knife through the engine compartment to stop the vehicle*

*I give them both the Eye of Odin*

*In his Midnight voice*

"Try to hit me with that bat again, and I will make sure to stick it where the sun don't shine, try me. Surrender or full body cast your choice."

*go into style if either makes any moves, Disarm weaponless on the thug with the bat, spinning kick to her, and then solid punch to him, all at 2@1*

Jhiaxus

Something twists in your head in a terrifyingly wrong way, and reality goes black and white, reverses its color tones, fades, and then comes back, and he dissappears only to reappear on the other side of the road.

Teleport Other at Range Psi 1@1. You learned this from a botch, and you're aware of how badly you bent reality to do this. It should not have worked. You got really lucky.

You land on the hood, and stab through the V8 block. Hot oil spurts all over you, and the engine dies. Leaving the too slick to grab knife in the engine block, you give them both...

Nautilus swings his wooden baseball bat and knocks you flying so that you crash into a mailbox and dent it good. Your left arm is numb, possibly broken.

Nautilus is standing in the car, and shivering. You caught him with the Eye.

"Well, go get him." Sophraniac orders as she climbs out of the car, and then realizes he's freaked. She smiles, and draws in a breath...

"The fat lady is about to sing." She says.

*So I just learned a P13@9 Teleport Other at Range, holy crap, that is a whole new ballgame with Psi skills, adding a max of +139 instead of +56 really makes a difference*

*Also happy I was able to save that guy, but that happiness is short lived*

*Thanking Odin for small miracles, his left arm useless right now, going to 2@1 Steal Initiative B7@1, go that I can do the only thing I have that works with any regularity, the 2@1 Leaping Kick B7@3 to knock the air out of her and hopefully out. Doing this superhero thing on your own isn't cool when the enemy team up which I was told doesn't happen much*

Jhiaxus

You lunge. She screams. You black out.

You wake up with a policeman questioning you in the street.

"I say, are you all right, and who are you?"

"That's the m-man that saved m-me." Yells the teleported drunk.

Nautilus, the others in the suits, Tessa, and the Sopraniac are gone. So is another car in the street.

You are having a hard time hearing the policeman.

*Sighs and tries to shakes out the cobwebs*

*In his Midnight voice*

"I've been better, I'm Midnight, Shadow Warrior, Nautilus and Sopranic kidnapped people from the Opera House, I gave pursuit, and apparently I got blasted. There is a car full of hired goons outside the Opera House, make sure they get charged with attempted murder, kidnapping, they shot me twice."

*retrieves his Bowie Knife from the damaged car*

"I need to pursue them."

*jumping to the roof of a building, not giving him time to respond*

*jumping a few over, and I really need to heal myself, so will do I will try to learn a 10@5 Automatic Healing skill, I would be at a -3 from the differences in Bias, but I will do a quick figuring of bonuses for a roll, example is Wolverine, in movie, tv, comic books and video games, and have examples of Sabretooth, Deadpool, The Lizard, Sasquatch, The Hulk, She Hulk, I would rate my varied examples as a 2@1

For Body skills without Bias differences the bonuses would be:

BRA: STR: +22
Example: +21 (Most will be +11)
-3 from Bias level vs the one I am learning
-15 to +15 to World Bias

*I will go after them once I'm healed, since I have no indication of how bad off I am*

Jhiaxus

You start healing on the roof, and the surcease from pain is great. You sit there for several minutes as the layers of damage are removed from your body.

And then you set out pursuing the verser sense.

It leads you to a dock on the north side of the harbor, the more rundown area of the harbor. A warehouse at the end of the dock looks abandoned, but you can see a guy on the roof smoking a cigarrette as he does guard duty.

And beyond the warehouse is a crane, and a rusty freighter, the Mary Piper.

*I am happy for small favors, learning how to regenerate is perhaps the one superpower I would rank above others, having grown up in a anti hero loving Wolverine society*

*Thinking, brute force and speed didn't work against two of them, so time to use tactics, stealth and divide and conquer*

*Making his way slowly, using the shadows, his 2@10 Move Silently, 2@10 Hide and 2@10 Climb, to make my way to the warehouse, if the sense is coming from the warehouse, get on the roof and start there, if it is coming from the crane or freighter, make my way to a point where I can jump onto it without being seen. I am in full ninja mode, stealth, hiding, and if I get into a situation where I can't get past someone with those, rely on getting behind them and using a arm bar across their neck to knock them out. My goal is to get into the situation unseen and hopefully work up a plan to tactical advantage*

((On my 1@ skills, I haven't been keeping up on new uses, so will be looking back over threads since coming here to see if I missed any increases))

Jhiaxus

You get down to the base of the pier, and slip from pier pylon to pylon, staying in the shadow of each pylon, making sure to only move when the man on the roof is looking the other way.

It seems to be that the verser sense is coming from beyond the warehouse. However, the warehouse takes the whole pier so you can't walk around it to get to the crane or the MP. You've made it up to the front of the warehouse next to the closed steel door of the front.

*sighs*

"I am not going to mess with the door of the warehouse, climb up the warehouse quietly, dispatch the guard, getting behind him and choking him out till unconsciousness with an armbar across the throat from behind, and walking along the roof low so I can see what I am getting into, and using stealth, following the verser sense to wherever I see it. Standard operations, avoiding people, stealth, hiding. I want to make it to the bad guys this time to surprise them*

Jhiaxus

bump post ^

You choke out the guy, and catch his revolver before it clatters to the roof. The verser sense seems to be in the direction of the Mary Piper. Now that you're on the roof, you can hear through the vent Sopraniac dressing down one of her criminals.

"You were SUPPOSED to be there. Not having a FLAT tire, you insufferable MORON!" She's got a real gift for vocal tones, loudness, and sarcasm.

"Ma'am I..."

"Did I SAY you could talk? Did I GIVE you the right to an opinion? I only wanted ONE, TEENY, TINY, LITTLE THING!!"

You can see Nautilus climbing up the side of the MP followed by a couple of goons.

OOC: Thanks for bumping.

*I am under the impression she is below me in the warehouse and he is heading up the side of the MP, good I tuck myself into a safe spot where I can see him and not be easily seen, and go for a 2@1 Possession 1@10, I know he's real dumb, so I should use misdirection to my advantage*

*My intention is to grab him, and separate the goons, so I can divide and conquer*

*If I get him*

*I will finish walking up, with the goons, and pull the first one aside, and speak through his body, going to assume it's going to be his voice*

"Your with me lead the way to the guys we grabbed, I don't feel like getting yelled at again, and neither should you. Stay here, guard the ramp, I'm not too good and remembering, but keep people away."

*Once he leads me to Tessa, see how many people are guarding her and the others, and start going Batman on them with his bat, going to assume if it's less than 5 or 6, the first one or two won't see it coming, and the rest, not going to do much.*

*Hoping to untie them, wake Tessa and the others up give her the bat, point to my face wink and blow a kiss, and release him just before she wallops him into next week. At that point I should pop back into my body, and I will make my way to the MP stealthy but quickly, to take care of the guards there, and hopefully get some help, and maybe a hello at this point.*

Jhiaxus

You take over his brain on the second try, and the guy with you laughs.

"Sure thing, Nautilus."

You walk into the hold, and find three guys with blood dried in a drip below their ears. They are hung by their wrists by metal chains from the deck above, and also chained to the deck below with them being a good twenty feet off the ground. The chains glisten in the lantern light.

There is a camera flash off to your left, and you see in a wooden cage, a suit jacketed man with a flash camera and a 'press' badge.

"So, Nautlilus, you got a quote for the Metro Daily?"

Tessa is below you.

There are four goons off in the corner at a card table playing poker. One nods at you, and goes back to puffing his cheap cigar.

*nods to the one at the table as I head over apparently checking out their game*

*starts swinging for the fences when I get close and they think I'm watching their game, knowing this goon likely can take a lot of punishment, assuming I get them by surprise and down them quickly, I will head back to the press guy and let him out of the cage*

"I'm sorry Nautilus isn't here, and I don't know how much more time I have in his body, and I have goons outside to deal with. Are there any down below, before I handle the ones outside, let you tie Nautilus up and wallop me with the baseball bat?."

*If he says there are more downstairs or not*

"Stay put, your safer pretending to be locked in a cage, than out, let me deal with the ones on the outside, if no one comes up, we go with the above plan, if they do come up, I attack them, and either let them win or I beat them. Either way, I will go back to my body and get you a proper interview when all this is done."

Jhiaxus

With the sound of breaking bones, you knock the first thug out of his chair. The others stare at you in shock, and you clear the table of the one to your right. Second Thug to your left gapes in surprise as you bash him. He's under the table, but you got him with a poor hit. The last guy leaps back, and draws his revolver and shoots. He clips Nautilus in the left forearm with a heavy .45.

Nautilus tries to break free of your control, but you push him back down.

By the time you're focused again, you're shot again. Or I should say shot at. The goon under the table fires at your leg and misses. The one still facing you, parts your hair.

*To Nautilus in his mind, as he is pushing him back down*

"I told you, what would happen if you hit me with your bat again, but I thought this a better display of my power. Sit down, shut up, or I will let them kill you now, so your best bet is to stay quiet and let me knock them out, or do you need to see my eye again."

*To them*

"I ain't gonna kill you, but you keep shooting me, I'm going to make sure you pay for it, just take it, and live to fight another day."

*I jump on the table and take care of the one that parted my hair, then worry about the one under the table*

Jhiaxus

OOC: Hmmm. I thought I posted last night.

Nautilus trembles, and backs off a bit.

The guy across the table runs, and you chase him, nailing him in the middle of your bat and his back. He's down. You start to turn around, and a bullet hits you in the back. Bolting back, you see the last felon, with a panicked look on his face, shoots again. Hits you in the chest. He's hiding behind the upturned card table. You swing, and never hit, as your hit passes overhead because as soon as you swing, he faints and drops to the ground, gun clattering once on the metal decking.

Click. Flash.

You drop out of the combat focus, and are aware that the Metro Daily reporter has been busy clicking away. You drop to your knees. Those bullets hurt.

::Get me into salt water!:: You hear Nautilus's voice in your head.

((It happens, it's all good))

::Ok, I have no desire to see you die, just keep this as a lesson good guys will try to keep you alive, the bad guys will kill you even if your not trying to kill them*

*saying the above to Nautilus as I am getting up, getting out and diving overboard*

::If your healing from this, I will let you go, if you need more help, I will heal you just stay near the ship, I hope this whole experience has opened your eyes about the company you keep. Evil has no friends when it boils down to it. For what it's worth, I didn't want you hurt, so for that I am sorry::

*If he is healing/able to take care of himself let him go and go back to my body, and start heading my way over stealthily, I hope the guys on the ship are a little distracted, so I can take them out without much fuss*

Jhiaxus

Nautilus is a good bit tougher than an ordinary man, but he's more bullet resistant than bullet proof. And the huge .45's that this timeline's criminals favor shoot an enormous slug, fifty percent bigger than the ones back home.

You and he work together to force his body up to the rail and over in an awkward splash. As soon as he hits the water, his body takes over, and breathes in salt water. Pain recedes, and his energy level rises.

He's going to be fine.

::I love Sophraniac.:: He says sadly. ::You're ok, Midnight. Bye.::

You leave him, and slip onto the ship in your regular body. The frantic goons are easy to take down without a shot fired.

*Actually kinda sad I wrecked things for him, so I guess I need to make things right, as sad and twisted as that will be.*

*As I take down the guys, I say at the water*

"I will make things right."

*goes inside to tie up the thugs, and knows he will need to buy more silks the rate he is going through em to tie up the bad guys, knowing there is a reporter, kinda kills his stealing from evil ways*

*after tying all the goons up and dragging them in here, opening the cage to let the reporter out, and putting the tied up goons in the cage and locking it, assuming I have a key if not get him out of the wooden cage*

"I am Midnight, Shadow Warrior, and the interview will have to wait, there is at least one person below, and the ones here. I would stick with me until we are out of here. I am not going to risk a civilian's life on what looks to be a large operation."

*Head to below, ready for anything, Panaramic Awareness on, and looking for Tessa*

Jhiaxus

Link to old thread: http://gamingoutpost.com/discussions/topic/jhiaxus-japes

OOC: Thank you for linking. Let me try to do it next world. If I mess it up, then you can do it. Gotta learn sometime.

There is a key hanging from a hook on the wall near the cage (but very definitely out of reach if not sight.)

You lock the groaning criminals inside, and before you leave the reporter, with a malicious grin takes a picture of them laying in the cage.

"Hey, you're the story, Midnight, Shadow Warrior. No way am I leaving you. Oh, my name is Morris. I do pics and an occasional story when I can for the Metro."

You go down one level and find a diving chamber with a crane to hold a diving bell over a hole. But the bell is here, and the chain is down. You and Morris look down.

Fifty feet below you can see a lighted bubble with a chained female figure inside it. Occasionally brushing it are dark, long finned shapes.

"One serious deathtrap." Morris says. You're aware there is another man in the shadows, just standing there.

*Surveys the situation, making no motion that he sees a man in the shadows*

"I would stay up here, no pictures, don't want to spook the finned ones near the bubble." *Always using his Midnight voice*

*walks around a bit, giving him a good view of the man and the bubble*

"That's quite a lot of effort to make for one woman there. One can only assume you are responsible for this setup, the question is why, and what do you gain? Shadows are my domain, can't hide in them with me around, I am Midnight."

*trying to read the man's mind, to get a sense of plans, weaknesses, anything to get a sense of what I am up against, and how best to deal with him in the situation he likely has me in*

Jhiaxus

::Hmmm, a new super. Villain or hero? I'd say from the way Bob Morris is trusting him, he's a hero.:: The mental voice is intelligent, calm, and calculating.

"My pseudonym is Mr. Little. I represent Mr. Big who is the reputed chairman of the non-existent Council of Crime. Those three gentlemen upstairs that were in chains last I saw them are hypothetically members of the Council. The young lady below us, if the girlfriend of Mr. Big. He sent me to rescue his friends and his girl. Currently, I am uncertain how to do that as my talents do not extend to defeating sharks in deep water."

((I always keep my mental defenses up, so always Thought Conceilment, since I know it works everywhere, I will use Mind Block when I can to stave off mental attacks))

*sighs girlfriend, better than fiance or wife, so will take small victories where I can get them, wait Council of Crime, good guys or bad guys, which makes Tessa either a good guy working with bad guys, or a bad guy working with bad guys, or a good guy working with good guys, or is that why the projection. Very interesting indeed.*

"I am new here, you will excuse me if Council of Crime doesn't mean anything to me, it could go either way in the good or evil in the scheme of things. I will rescue them all, good or evil, that's what I do. Let me try some things."

*Will start with a 1@4 Heavy TK P4@3 to lift the bubble in the water, it should not be that heavy with air in it and displacement, hoping to not have to deal with the sharks, if that doesn't work, will try that Teleport Other I learned earlier today, saying a prayer to Odin to help my efforts to get these to work.*

Jhiaxus

"Good and evil are concepts for the simplistic. We are good in that we seek to regularize the production of what the puritanical call 'criminal behavior' to minimize the distress such causes, and maximize our production. We also recognize that certain endeavors are not helpful to be involved in because they cause greater damage to the body of society which we require to keep living. We provide needs that society has, allowing them plausible deniability, and a clear conscience, while they damm us with their editorials, they praise us with their pocketbooks." Mr. Little replies suavely.

The first time you try, and nothing. The second time, and the bubble lifts for a couple feet, and then it stops. The bubble is chained to the ocean floor.

TK is not going to work, not as you understand the way to manipulate such energies. You find the energies you infuse the object with are being grounded into the planet like a lighting rod grounds a skybolt.

Thoughtfully you reach out and try to bend the space around Tessa and the space in front of you so that they are one and the same space.

Tessa appears in front of you, still chained, and unconscious.

Mr. Little twitches.

"Impressive."

*In between attempts to get Tessa*

"I never said there is just good or evil, my immediate concern is evil that is going to harm people in the here and now. Since your technically here to help, you guys are not my concern right now. It does look like you pissed off the more chaotic of your brethren and they have decided not to go along with your plans." *Midnight voice*

*After he gets her, sighs in relief happy that he was able to do so*

"Indeed, considering I taught myself that little trick an hour ago." *Midnight voice*

*Undoing the chains from Tessa and gently trying to wake her up* *Midnight voice*

"Wake up Miss, you are safe now, my name is Midnight, and there is a Mr. Little, erm dispatched to ensure your safe return. If that is alright with you."

((I hope Bob Morris knowing she is safe and not in with the sharks, knows to take pictures now, and that he got what Mr Little said written down to add to the story))

Jhiaxus

Mr. Little arranges to stay out of the pictures and he speaks to Bob Morris.

"I must remind you sir, that I said the Council of Crime was 'non-existent' and 'hypothetical'."

"Of course, I know the drill. As Mayor Windell says 'the fantastic tales of an organized crime cabal are the delusions of publicity hungry fools.' But one day, you will go down."

"Of course, Rome went down as well. And then the barbarians." Tessa says with a faint smile. "Ah, Midnight...you must be a new superhero, and so handsome. I must thank you properly for saving me. Perhaps a dinner party with the Mayor and interested friends, if you won't find that too uncomfortable?"

She reaches out for Mr. Little's arm who comes to join her.

"Of course, Mr. Little is always watching out for me, ever mindful of my safety."
