"Yes, She is interesting."

"No, man, I mean... do you like her? You know?"

"Do you mean romantically? Then, yes."

Stojan tells you, "I thought so. She likes you too, I can tell. I have my ways. I'm psychic.

"No, man, I'm joking. Yesterday while you were in the police station she was talking about you. It was like the Spanish Inquisition, man."

"Well nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition... I guess we should get ready to go to that fallout shelter."

How close does my Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu look to the one in Rurouni Kenshin?

You made me laugh.

"NOBODY EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION!"

§

"You can go back to sleep if you want, man. It's not even six in the morning. You haven't even slept two hours."

§

Your Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu is for intents and purposes that style.

"Thanks, I need more sleep."
I go back to sleep.

Ashley looks over at you as you get in your sleeping bag and tells you that it's cold in here; possibly trying to explain why she's so close to you. Stojan snickers.

"Good Night"
I go to sleep.

You awaken with a start as one of the ghouls rips the the back door off the van. There's an army of them standing there. Stojan starts shooting the one his front, but he just slowly and meaningfully steps up into the back of the van. You struggle to get out of your sleeping bag.

§

You wake up. It was a nightmare.

I look around and ask Stojan how long I was asleep.
If it is less than 4 or 5 hours, I go back to sleep.

One of the names for the style was Supersonic Sword Style, How fast can I move now?

The maneuvers themselves are done very quickly; general movement speed isn't affected.

Stojan tells you that it's now ten in the morning.

Time to get up.
I wait until it is time to go to the fallout shelter.

Stojan says to you when he sees you standing idly, "Can you go into the house and get some canned food? We may need it."

"Sure"
I go into the house to get some canned food.

You're in the pantry gathering cans, and you hear a noise from outside the pantry in the house.

It seems to be coming from a closet door; it's slightly ajar, but not enough for you to see what's inside.

Do I have my sword with me?

If so, I draw my sword and go into Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu. Then I open the door.

If not, I go into Honda's Ninja-do and open the door.

You've been trained to use the sword as a extension of your body; as such, in most circumstances, asking if you have the sword with you is like asking if you have your left arm with you.

You get in style and push the door open. Inside, there's a young girl of six or seven; she's nude and emaciated, but with patches of dark, calloused, black skin on her body and face. As you swing the door open, she emits an unearthly wail and covers her eyes with her arm.

I attack with a style basic attack.

You slaughter the ghoul child in cold blood, slicing its body horizontally and clearly severing its spine. It hits the ground pooling blood from the cavity in its chest.

You finish gathering the supplies as Stojan runs in with his gun out. He asks you, "The ---- was that?"

"It was a ghouled child. Let's go. That wail might alert them to our position."

OOC: That ghoul wasn't meant to be killed, was she?
This feels a lot like I Am Legend

The ghoul child was a bad GE roll that I made into a test of your moral character. If you found an inhuman creature that experience suggests may be harmful or may be a helpless child, would you wait to see if it was a harmful being, or would you slaughter it mercilessly?

Like it or not, we have our answer.

§

Stojan agrees with you that more may be coming as you speak, and the two of you hurry back to the van, bumping into Ashley on the way.

"What was that?"

"How did it get in?"

The three of you rush to the van, pull out of the garage, and start the drive to the fallout shelter.

I wait until we get to the fallout shelter.
I am rather quiet and brooding

That could have been an innocent child... I am a murderer...

OOC: That's what I get for not following my gut.

During the ride, Ashley asks you what the matter is.

"While I was getting food from your house, I encountered A ghouled child.
She didn't attack me... But since she had the dark splotches of the stronger ghouls...
I... I convinced myself that she was a threat... And attacked without confirming it.
It feels like murder now..."

Ashley looks concerned.

"You couldn't have known otherwise, Eli. You did what you thought you had to do to defend yourself. Nobody will fault you for that."

From the driver's seat, Stojan announces, "Now entering Penns Grove. Not far now."

"What isn't fair?" Ashley asks him.

"Far," Stojan replies emphatically.

I wait until we get to the fallout shelter.

He drives past a YMCA, and pulls up to a large brick school; Penns Grove Middle School is etched into the front. There's a small sign with a biohazard symbol and the word "shelter" underneath it.

"We're here," he announces as he gets out the driver's side.

The onboard clock says it is 13:00 exactly.

"Ok. Let's have a look around."

You walk up the steps and into the school. You're in a stairwell, with steps going up and steps going down.

I go down the steps.

You find yourself in a hallway filled with classrooms. It extends left and right from where you are standing; at the end of each hallway there is what looks to be another stair access.

I go down the hall to the right. And, go down the stairs

Down the hall to the right.

The hall turns continues to your left, you look into the stairwell to find stairs going up.

I continue exploring until we checked all the school for ghouls and found the fallout shelter.

The building seems to be all clear of ghouls.

There are stairs leading down deeper in the only stairwell you hadn't yet checked.

You open the door and are faced with pandemonium as twenty or so people react in suprise to the door opening, grabbing makeshift weapons and standing to fight whatever menace enters. They do not appear to be ghouls.

I hold my hands up.
"HOLD ON! HOLD ON! We are not ghouls.
We were just checking out the fallout shelter."

They hesitate, and one of the men asks, "How do we know you aren't zombies?"
