I take in the situation at a glance, and silently pray as I dive through the hole in the floor by going right and down... :o
You pray, and thus calmly dive, and see a thin ramp ending in a flat platform about two yards square. You carom off the ramp, semi-controlled, and roll into the horizontal plane, and fetch up feet first against the wall, winded.
"Escape, my brothers, escape, the door is left open!" You hear from above you, the same one that was cheering the ball on is now leading the next step of the 'prisoner revolt'. heh.
+@1 for Falling skill, or something like it.
Semi-amused and semi-concerned, I immediately summon my singer's breath control to project my voice in spite of my windedness.
"House, close door to this room now! And prevent cub access to exits from this residence!"
With another prayer, I do a rapid head count to ensure that all five are still within...
You reach for the wind, but its not there...
"Freeeeeee!"
You succeed the second time with a strong voice.
And Ka-thumphs.
Thud. Scratch.
"Aaah." Different, lower pitched voice from directly above you.
A two foot tall Kzinti cub lands on your stomach after falling five feet. It looks with wide eyes at you for a second, and then begins to groom its claw tipped hand.
"I meant to do that." It says in a much lower voice.
I look around to see if I can spot all five of the cubs from my current vantage point.
IF not, then I project my voice once again: "House, list current locations of each cub."
Then I regard the cub perched upon my tummy with a friendly twinkle in my eye but a respectful expression.
"Indeed. And it seems that you have captured me, young warrior. What will you do with me?"
OOC: The adventure continues in this thread... :)
