Double post.
Yes, I can attest to that being true about preteen girls.
I think that robbing cradles bit was a joke, but you really need to learn to indicate them already. a simple :) would have made it clear you were just making fun.
never had a teenage girl in the house?
on what grounds do you make such an accusation?
Five sons and I've never heard him speak of having a sister. Yeah, now that you put it that way, it does sound a bit rude. If he has had a teenage girl in the house, it would have been about 40 years ago.
My sister had a boyfriend when she was 11....
Yes, but I'll bet she didn't still have him at 16.
This was overheard in the eighth grade cafeteria: "You know, last week I thought Billy Preston was the most wonderful boy in the world, and this week I can't imagine what I saw in him. It's amazing how quickly boys change at this age, isn't it?"
Besides, I've met the girl at at least two and maybe three annual conventions. I think I'd know if she were that young.
As to whether I've had a teenage girl in the house, well--
- I'm three years older than my sister, and although I was in college when she was a sophomore, she was in my band when she was a junior and I didn't live that far from her.
- Speaking of that band, we always had three female vocalists, and they were all within two to three years younger than me, from when I was 17 to 20. They weren't in the house, but I knew them reasonably well.
- My daughter-in-law is very nearly my daughter--her mother was not taking care of her, and she told nightmarish tales of her stepmother, so she became our responsibility (her father signed papers indicating that she was our dependent for income tax purposes) starting at about thirteen. She married our son, which I suspect she was pretty intent on doing from before she was our houseguest, but I know quite a bit about what it is to have a teenage girl in the house.
- If you have boys, you have the associated girls as often as not. When my wife said we needed a name for our house, I dubbed it "The Hopewell Youth Center", because there were always a dozen or so kids playing video games or otherwise enjoying our place. That we have a pool in the back means we also had the girls swimming in the summers.
- A few of our long-term house guests have been female, and some have been young. I'm not sure how old Cassandra was when she stayed here (either time), but she was certainly a prime example of teen girl propensities.
But then, I'm a generalist--I know something about everything, really.

No comment....
Maybe I was wrong about Ahmetia's age then. I could have sworn I read on here that she was 16. Oh well.

Sorry John, guess it makes a difference I met her at two ubercons, and knew her younger sister was 19. :P
@ Harry, 22 bumps can't get me to register as newest user on your post, post away
@ Eric, I really have no interest in murder mysteries, I was just bored today waiting for posts. I would like have them all tied up now, and start the psychological warfare, separating them, and wearing down their resolve. If this was my real thread.
Sincere apologies to anyone in my games who didn't get a post yesterday; the other supervisor at my job quit when he was supposed to come in and close, so I ended up pulling a double shift. I think I got everyone at least once, though..
Jhiaxus,
Understood. This is hybrid of a puzzle and a role playing game.
It's cool life happens. :P
@Brock's thread: I love how perfectly Kyler has captured the bumbling antics of Team Rocket from the Pokemon series. It's easily as fun as watching the show, plus the Pokemon actually die! 8/10.
I thankee, but you know, I *am* pro, so you should have expected so much from me. =P
Eli, your thread is posted to, fyi.
I think I gave the villain in the movie a different name than he had, but other than that...What is the villain's 'true name', and what movie is he from?
This is for Magnus' game.
I know what movie you are talking about, but I can't name it.
Jack the Ripper?
No, no, no... it's that guy, from that horror musical that was recently out, the paranoid psychotic cannibal barber... what movie was that, hmm... I never actually saw the movie; one of my brothers saw it in theaters...
Sweeney Todd.
In retrospect, I guess probably not, but it was a great educated guess =P
@ Edgar's game: Who wants to bet Di Vars is going to kill him because of all these stupid questions he keeps asking?
Magnus gets two walnut covered, chocolate frosted brownie points for his help with linking JohnA's games.
Mmmmm...walnut covered, chocolate frosted brownie points...
@ Mike's game by MJ: hahahaha.
That's right, I'm laughing at Little Joe throwing his huge bulk around the kitchen at high speed.
Trust me, it's funny -- I've worked in a kitchen with Tiny before. So has Pharaoh.
I nearly missed the character reference, what with how common a name Joe is.
@Edgar's game
*stares, an expression possibly similar to that of Di Vars's*
It would be funny if not for this nagging feeling that you're *trying* to push your luck.
@ Edgar's game: Looks like he took the hint...finally.
Indeed, and did not get shot.

Apologies to all my players waiting on posts; I've come down with a bacterial sinusitis and will resume posting once I'm able to continue thinking rationally.
Excuses excuses......
Get well soon Kyler, remember kids, if he would have followed Rule #17, and Limbered up, all this could have been avoided.
Get well, Kyler, and forget Rule #17. I'm not sure that's Rule #17 anyway.
--M. J. Young
I thought Rule #17 was if you're waiting for a guy to call, never answer on the first ring, because you don't want to appear too eager. Oh, but that's a list of girls rules, don't know where I got that.
--M. J. Young
Those are Zombieland rules
Not a problem. Get well, man :).
Hmm, speaking of roleplaying, a single player's stupid decision in my Shadowrun game set off a nuclear power plant and destroyed most of the Redmond barrens, in addition to killing off all of the players. Anyone want details? It's quite a story ;)
I would love to play Shadowrun, one of those games, I always hear good things about, but no one around here plays.
I do-it is my game of choice when I am GMing.
So, yeah, they were in the reactor room of a broken down old nuclear power plant, and the dumb mage player summoned a Force 6 fire spirit, and ordered him to destroy everything but the boss, because he wanted to take the boss himself.
...everything includes the room itself...he didn't realize there was still active plutonium around...with fireballs exploding everywhere...yeah...
...of course, the funniest part was the street witch...she wanted to take a sample of the strange creature in front of her, so she vaulted over the rails from three floors up, and critically glitched her flight spell. She tried to catch herself with more rails on the way down, and critically glitched that too, breaking her arm on the rail while falling, then splatting on the floor below.
Actually, rule 17: "A contract is a contract is a contract (but only between Ferengi)."
Ferengi rules of acquisition.

Two
@my game with Eric.
There's no question in my mind. Learning to blacksmith was the wiser choice than saving the princesses in Dancing Princess. If I had saved the princesses, I would have no means to find work in the world I'm in and the gold I got for saving them would be in orbit.
(Doing Therapy)
Heh, heh. So you think now.
Gutpunch got his powers from killing a Grey alien.
Nautilus has sea based powers in part.
Soprhaniac has super vocal cords.
Robberman has an evil magic ring.
Captain Copperhead...hmmm. Has toxic smoke.
Mechanoman--Iron Man
Blackjack--Gambit (He has magic cards and martial arts)
Blue Ace--Just a tough guy with style and a biplane
Countessa--at least Astral Form Solid Projection.
@ Eric
Pssh and I have to work for everything :P
Yeah and since I haven't seen Countessa out once since that first meeting, not like I would know or anything. :P
@ Adam's game run by Eric
1: The p7@ energy control skill could theoretically control energy from a magical or technological source including "magical" energy if that's what it was intended to do when it was developed
2: Instant success, but isn't that before you factor the size penalty for making a called shot on the carotid artery?
@Kyler what a -20 verses just about 100 points based on bias of skill, plus bra, plus example which I have at 1@1, that's about 135 without adding the rest, with the rest, probably closer to 163, even at a -50 for size, still automatic :P
Jhiaxus is heading toward the point where he's Superman and the rest of the Mystery Men are the Justice League in probably more ways than one.
And he's whining about having to work hard. Don't remember Supes whining too often. :)
Hey, I just want my woman back, and you keep throwing these costumed freaks at me :P
