I glanced at Kyler's game with John, and find myself wondering if it's Krynoids or Triffids.
But he says it's a world of his own, so I'm probably completely off base.

Jhiaxus' game...
Presence Attack comes from Champions. I think we discussed the idea here on GO a long time ago. Might be in the archives.
@ Eric Women make us do stupid things to avoid being showed up. I have a whole bunch of psionics and magic stuff I would try, but without talking to her or others, I have no idea what works and what doesn't. Well at least I failed the quick stand and botched the steal initiative instead of doing either on the fall impact absorption :P cya in the morning.
@ Eric, you realize with me getting less than half my rolls on things I should have a 60-70% chance to do, I'm going to have to quit my day job due to either the broken arm, or just to train so I don't miss and botch everything :P
On that day you got some bad rolls that I mentioned, you got 82, and 82 again, and 97??. On this day, well, you were going on a whole list of things you wanted to do, but Nautilus interrrupted you, and foreclosed some of the actions. And Sopraniac has a speed advantage in some situations because all she has to do is scream. She doesn't have to run to get close and then kick.
Now the point about two on one hero is a good point. I'llkeep that in mind, although I think that's going to change...specially if you keep having Countessa helping you. Its a strategy see-saw....good guys one up the bad guys by cooperating, and eventually the bad guys either A)Up their power level, or up their viciousness or cleverness B)Start teaming up. Possibly all of the above will happen as the A-Z villains try to deal with the new hero tactics.
Add in that the heroes have a new, very powerful hero in town...
@ Eric, not complaining, you just gave me the excuse to say, well I have a thousand dollars in 1920, and I hurt my arm, at least for now, it doesn't make sense to beat myself up for a few dollars a day :P
As for the second, I take full responsibility, for being the good guy and not mercing one or the other. So I was going to get beat on 2 on 1.
@ Adam in Kyler's game:
"That was just a test, you did well."
LOL! Smooth :P
Yeah -- she was probably half dead with fright at that point. When the King rushes in and catches you loafing off with a jar of peanut butter and a spoon, and takes it from you as well as all the peanut butter in the pantry with no explanation, you pretty much decide you're out of a job.
indeed.
And again, thanks for the laughs all. Bubblegum currency from Kyler, heh. Ah, there was more, but I can't remember.
It's awesome to finally see a legionnaire here, in the game Adam runs for Kyler. The ninja and samurai thing with Eli is awesome to follow. I really like the way this master is played as well as how Eli picks it up and get's the master-student relation very well imo.
Cool to get a gold star for orachlium from Mark.
Oh yeah, I remember: verser getting pregnant by botch = awesome GM thought! @ Adam in Kyler's game. Gold star for you Kyler!
I also like how the mind mend is played out. This is indeed going to be interesting for Eli in Mark's game.
Anyway, awesomeness all around. Well done everyone.
I'm the one in the mind meld not Eli. :P
It's definitely going to be interesting, there was definitely a flood of information there, but I'm scared what Durer is going to do with the information he gets about me.
That being said for a botch I'm very excited. I wonder if I can develop a skill that does this on purpose.
woops, sorry :P
Mike--what, you want a skill that reveals everything about you to someone else in exchange for telling you everything about him?
I would think it more desirable to have one that gives you everything you want to know about him and doesn't let him know you got it--and that would be a read minds variant delving into memories, although you'd be dependent on relative success for whether you learned what you wanted and needed to know.

@ Nikolaj in Eric's game: Itchy!! Tasty!! Unhhhhh!!
I'm considering developing the skill so that the other person knows all about me and me about them. It would make explaining a lot to Molly easier, I feel I haven't explained enough to her so far.
The other I'll probably be looking at too in the future.
@ Kyler's reply to the game I'm in: ZOMBIES in SPACE!
I have an image in my mind of zombies helplessly free-floating in space, occasionally getting hit by an asteroid or sucked into the gravity of a star. Ha ha ha.
Just wait till you meet the Snotlings from the old Dungeonquest board game. You'll really hate them.
@ Eric You mean Warhammer Quest, I own the game and all the expansions, fun little game.
From Nikolaj:
ZOMBIES in SPACE!
Well, sure--they don't need air, and heat and cold don't have much impact on them, right?
Perfect place for them.

@ MJ running Jhiaxus; I believe it's similiar to J'haxus. A J sound, the h is slightly distinguishable and the I all but silent, a short A and a short U. In the game I run him in, one of his (two) lovers calls him Jh for short (not J. H. or Jay but Jh, like a cross between a juh and a sh).
I've played both, and the little snots are in both. I blame trans-dimensional gateways.
ZOMBIES in my BLENDER.
Yummy.
@ Ky: what was your world before Kaped Krusader? I'm trying to read your game.
@ Glantri and the Prophecy of Ky: Feels a bit like you are rushing the story. Kyler's character should have known Durnik the smith for years, indeed, Garion's physical strength came from helping out in the smithy as I recall. Oh well, it's your story. I have also seen no mention of his observable interaction with Pol. I'm sure Ky would want to pick up on that.
Brock: Prior to being Batman I was in Dragon Quest: Origins. It's in the thread "Kyler Krusader" as opposed to "Kyler Kaped Krusader". Prior to that was the volcanic island, which is "Kyler in Krystal Klear Sands". I wouldn't be suprised if I'm heading for Mortal Kombat at some point here.
As to the story with Kyler, there is a reason Garion spent so much time with Durnik, which Kyler lacked. Kyler indicated he was spending a lot of time training, which in my opinion made it less likely for him to be around Pol as much and notice what you're talking about. Not to mention it's much more subtle early on. It only becomes blindingly apparent around the end of book 2. I was rushing through the part I felt uncomfortable with though, I'm much more comfortable that silk is around now. He's my favorite of them all.
@ Mark: Only in the game I'm in, even I can breathe in space... But that might be some atmosphere created by the ship or something. It's really intriguing. Well done Eric!
Kyler has me laughing every so often from the bumps. This last set made me smile.
@ Kyler running Eli: Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki. -20 sit mod for the first skill roll. If the the skill roll fails but does not botch stun the enemy else damage at base weapon +DC +30 damage mod. When the enemy is stunned because the skill roll fail the first time but does not botch, add +60 sit mod to the skill making it +40 sit mod. If the second roll succeeds, damage at base weapon +2DC +30 damage mod. Physically exhausting and can only be used once per day at amateur level.
Requirement to learn: Must counter Ku Zu Ryu Sen. When countering Ku Zu Ryu Sen an additional +20 sit mod will be given to learn it. A reverse edged sword is good to use when learning this skill if you do not want to kill the teacher.
I wonder if the above will add to the laugh...
Dude! I'll need my weekend to catch up on the Kylers and Adams. Do you guys sleep between your jobs at all?
I sleep 6 hours a night, 7 on a weeknight if I go to bed early, and 8 on weekends if I am lucky. :P
Ah. Well, with the speed the story is going, I'm sure it will show up sooner or later. I wonder which team member Ky will choose to spend the most time with?
Brock posted
Ky: what was your world before Kaped Krusader? I'm trying to read your game.
That reminds me: if you are running games and you start a new thread, it is expected and requested that you place links at the end of the old and beginning of the new, so that people can find their way through your games.
Usually whoever starts the new thread does this, posting the name and link of the old thread at the beginning of the new one, and the name and link of the new thread at the end of the old one. That's usually the referee, but if the referee forgets (or doesn't have the coding skills) it falls to the player to cover the mistake. And if the player can't do it, either, please flag me so that I can add the links.
Thanks.
--M. J. Young
I don't have the capability from my phone to do this, sorry. I have no way to figure out what the link is in the first place to put it there.
Do I sleep? Sometimes. Sometimes I wake up and check the forum to see if anyone posted. Usually though sometime between two and seven am EST are quiet for me. =)
Sighs more paperwork to do, blah :P
@ Eric, bah adding more layers of intrigue to the story, damn you :P
Looks like I get to be first to formally welcome John 1 (The Original) back to the forum!
I can't wait to see where the scenario I've got him in goes.
Wait MJ reordered the order of which he responds, so we should reorder the John's. So John 2 should be John 1, If John 3 or 4 are still playing they should shift down one, and the old John 1, should be the new John 4.
I didn't realize he reordered the order in which he responds. I thought he recently announced that he's just going to open all the threads and whichever ones he posts to first will be the ones that get posted to first. =P
He'll always be John 1 to me.
But John 4 is a special FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRR
rofl
