Why are you not replying here?

Honestly for no reason, just life being hectic; I also haven't been responding to Magnus in his game thread. Seriously, this is the game I'm in right now that interests me the most.

I'll take the hat, cane, and shades, spark my smoke, and see about getting a perc from Slider, which I'll gladly crunch down on before walking outside.

"Well," I say around the cigarette, "The lye's ruined, and I'll bet the stump remover is no better. I'm at a loss, dude." Puff. "Let's find some s-t to blow up, huh?"

OOC) But you don't have much choice but to answer your father. I see. You're a lucky man to have him. My father died when I was 6. Oh yeah, Kyler, you're a pot smoker. How would you like to never again run out of weed? Email me A1nut@insight.rr.com I can make it happen.

Slider takes a couple percs, washes them down with a swig from one of the Vodka bottles, and when his face returns to normal he says

"Man, you have no idea how glad I am that you showed up. I was just living in that house doing nothing. I had a whole world to explode, er, explore. What do you waaaant to blllow up huh? Wheeere do you waaaant to gooo? I say we steal an ocean liner and sail around the world. Throw grenades over the side at the dolphins and stuff."

His speech is slurring already. He must be a lightweight.

Off in the distance, you hear the hearty roar of a lion. It's answered by an elephant trumpeting.

doublepost

Ah, man, to put it simply, I wish I was a pot smoker, but I'm a once-and-future pot smoker at best. Got a kid and a wife, y'know; and yeah, basically, MV campaigns end when the referee or player passes away, so there's a time limit on the game.

"We should go rip off a few jewelry stores."

Ahh, lions. I'll keep an ear and an eye out and make sure the safety on the M16 is off.

OOC) Weed is the only thing that makes my existence tolerable. I got sick of running out halfway through the month, so I designed a bong that lets you catch nearly all of the resin. Did you know you can smoke catnip? A quart of catnip goes into the bong. A quart of catnip covered in weed resin comes out. Talk about spinning straw into gold. And all you gotta do to make it is smoke through what I think is easily the best-hitting bong I've ever had. I'd patent it in a second if it was legal. I haven't run out of weed in almost two years since I designed this thing.

GE 18

After downing some more Vodka, Slider says:

"Why da ya wanna rrransak a jewel-ery store? Sounds like it'd be a hoot. But wwwhy?"

He slurs on to tell you that there is a jewelery store a few blocks away. He doesn't feel like driving though.

"Versers are immmmortalllll, buuuuut we can still be hurrrrrrt in jeep crashes. I ain't goan drrrive. You OK to drrrive?"

GE 12.

No lions or other dangerous creatures around at the moment. But you hear them. It's a veritable Jumanji jungle out there. Slider says they escaped from the zoo.

Driving to the jewelry store, eye out for a department store where I might pick up some travel gear, like a suitcase or backpack.

"Just want to pick up some stuff that might be worth something somewhere."

You've got army jeeps, you've got deuce and a half trucks, what vehicle are you taking?

So you're driving down the road. Its a business/apartment district. Businesses and apartments. (Anything specific, just ask) Cars are stalled out on the roads. The roads are cracked and broken. Dirt and plants are covering them so completely in places that it's hard to distinguish where the road stops and nature begins.

"Just want to pick up some stuff that might be worth something somewhere."

"Ah, ya wants trade items. Cheap 22 caliber pistols muh mahn. You're gonna land in more primitive worlds than high-tech ones, at least if everything I've been told is true. A weapon that fits in your hand that can kill someone from across the room? Thems very valuable in low-tech worlds. Sell those for gold, when you get somewhere high-tech, you sell the gold and get more cheap 22s. Money's real easy to come by as a verser. I've even heard gold and silver grows on trees in some worlds."

Slider directs you to a strip mall. There's a large jewelery store, sporting goods store, toy store, another grocery store, and various misc shoppes. (Ask and I'll roll)

In an obviously sarcastic tone, he says "Are you sure we should be breaking in here? the COPS might get us!!!!" and starts laughing.

OOC) Were you following those games I was running for Glantri? Who would you rather have brought in? Magehammer or 8 year old Samantha? Not saying either will happen, just curious where your preferences are.

The eight year old girl, but I wasn't following those games, no.

"Maybe, but if the .22s break I can't fix em and there might be people who want refunds, which I don't wanna mess with. Precious metals and gems are always worth it for what they weigh."

Sporting goods. Awesome. I'll head in, pick up a compound bow, a few fletched arrows, maybe something to hold the arrows, a nice big nasty looking knife.. I've got some army fatigues already so I don't really need clothes here .. What else have they got I might like? Ah, a nice bag to carry all the jewelry I'm gonna get from the jewelry store. Forget diamonds (which are actually pretty common, but have amazing marketing)), I'm going for the pretty colored ones, rubies, sapphires, emeralds, especially large stones.

"Maybe, but if the .22s break I can't fix em and there might be people who want refunds, which I don't wanna mess with. Precious metals and gems are always worth it for what they weigh."

"They've got a broken 22, you've got an M-16. Good luck getting your refund. Just saying is all. There's a sporting goods store here. Wouldn't hurt to check anyway."

Jewelery store GE 24

The jewelery store is called "Diamonds R Us." Going in, you find gold, silver and platinum jewelery. But the only precious stone they carry are diamonds. (Who'd a thunk finding a room full of diamonds would be a bad GE?) On the positive side, they do have lots of diamonds of a lot of sizes. Even a few the size of marbles. The cases are glass display cases. It's your standard jewelery store.

Sporting good store GE 12

Baseball gloves, bats, bows, arrows, knives, boxing equipment, pretty much any sporting gear you could ask for. And a small display case of various pistols, mostly 22 caliber target pistols.

"See? This is what I'm talking about. That target pistol and 200 rounds weighs about 2 pounds, and on a primitive world, is worth more than all the diamonds in that other store."

Slider gets 2 sets of boxing gloves and says:

"You wanna learn how to box? I can teach you."

General General Effects roll 20

Whilst in the sporting goods store, you hear a high-pitched howl. Looking out, a solitary wolf is outside the door, staring in at you.

"Uh, last time I checked, wolves hunted in packs. There's no such thing as a lone wolf."

Sorry Kyler, I think I'm being negligent in my ref duties. I said "Mostly 22 caliber target pistols." The target pistols are 6 and 9 shot revolvers and 10 shot automatics. They're fairly large-frame, heavy built. The label says "Smith&Glock" and Slider says the cops carried that brand.

Slider: "Always know what the cops carry. That way, you know what the good brands are."

I also said "Mostly". They have two other handguns. They also have a Gold-plated 50 caliber Desert Eagle automatic, seven shot, big hand cannon and a 50 caliber revolver, six shot, stainless-steel finish, large frame, with a 10 inch barrel. Both ends of the spectrum in the selection of handguns. They also have a handful of double barrel 12 gauge shotguns and some 22 caliber rifles.

Slider: "I'll flip ya for the Desert Eagle auto."

And after the flip, which I've not done yet, because you might want the revolver and let him have that one.

"Double barrel shotguns are good trade items too. Especially if you can find some of the more extreme ammo for them."

And if you want extreme ammo, ask and I'll roll. The rules are, if it can fit in the space of a 12 gauge shotgun shell. I'd say about 2 cubic inches or so. Anything from explosives to whatever that wicked little mind of yours can come up with.

The reason why you aren't being negligent is because I didn't ask for additional information; I do actually disagree with the concept 'if I've imagined something long enough, you can't change it.' Assumption, the mother of misunderstanding, and complacency, the father of laziness, make ugly lovechildren together. Ask questions you wish to know the answers to, but if the question hasn't been asked then as a player you don't know the answer. (The best thing I've found to do as a GM with a player who says "But if I had known that," is to say, "OK, rewind. Do it.")

"Sure, I'll flip you for it."

I'll take any kind of extreme ammo around; explosive, chemical (face-melting or disease-imparting), shrapnel, large ball, or whatever else I might find.

Slider pulls out a quarter, flips it and lets it hit the ground. While it's airborne, he calls out "Tails". The quarter lands Heads up.

"Looks like you get the auto. That revolver's nothing to sneeze at though. I'm happy!!"

So, you find the gun and a total of 3 seven round clips. Couple hundred rounds each.

GE 15

00 buckshot (large ball) and slugs are plentiful. There are also a number of non-lethal rounds. Rubber shot, smoke, firecracker rounds (Throws an M-80) and tear gas.

Slider "Non-lethal doesn't mean 'Painless'. Those are good to have."

What all are you getting from the sporting good store? Did you get any diamonds from the other? Diamonds are nothing to sneeze at either.

Slider "So where do you want to go? What do you want to blow up?"

OOC) Any updates about the Great Mr. Young? Oh yeah, I posted more than once. It wrapped the page. Did you see all of the posts?

(Doing Therapy)

Kyler, you forgot one.

haha. I forgot about 6 actually, but I only hit a couple.

Diamonds, sure.

00 buckshot and tear gas, yes.

sporting goods store, I'd really like fishing supplies, a good compound bow, a good recurve bow, hunting arrows, camping gear: tent, sleeping bag, canteen, knife (idr if I grabbed one already somewhere prior, but I'll compare what I have to what's here), rain jacket, lantern, nice canvas bag to carry it all, compass. That ought to do it, hoping for a good roll.

GE 17, and since I can't imagine a sporting goods store not carrying everything you listed, you've got it.

Slider "So where do you want to go? What do you want to blow up?"
