"Power? I've always wanted the power to heal people." ((As an aside, on this forum the only other Kylers are the one in MJ's game, the one in Jhiaxus's game, and the one in Glantri's game, making this one number FOOOOOUUUUUR FOOOOOOUUUUUUR the FOOOOOUUUUUURum. (sorry, old jokes die hard, I think the four thing was before your time here.) Outside of the forum, there were three others in various campaigns, making the one in Jhiaxus's game the real fifth and this one lucky number 7.)) ((edit: I forgot the one in John's game. This is number 5/8.))

Please, the bookkeeping is hard for me. (Yay three double letters in a row!!) Trying to talk sense with a zombie is meaningless; do I see any way out or place to hide? If it seems the zombie will be coming, I will try to lay hands on his face to hold those terrible gnashing teeth away and heal him... or her... or it.

Well, I feel bad for the zombie. I didn't really want to kill him, I wanted to heal him of his curse... but in minutes I've accepted that he was long dead and unsavable, so I've really healed him. I'm concerned for my safety, so now I'm going to put my hand on the left wall and start walking.

Ohhhh now I'm saaaaad ='(

I don't mind if you don't know what to do, just roll a GE roll and do something =P That's what I do when I'm lost in a scenario I'm running when I'm at a loss;

I might be fresh out of tricks up my sleeve, but the show must go on, and likely I'll draw inspiration from the events as they unfold. =)

I miss this game.

Sure, it only had like 5-8 actual game related posts ever, but I was excited about the direction the character development was heading.

Shapes are NOT good! Um, ok, I glance over at my things, determine nothing there is all THAT important, and run for cover, inside somewhere, hopefully.

"Worlds? Excuse me?"

This guy is almost as out of his mind as I am. Maybe I misheard him. Try to be coy.

"That's a very interesting question, one which requires intense, prolonged thought. Perhaps, if you could rephrase the question, I would be better able to answer it."

"Uh, yeah, in a nutshell."

I've already given up thinking this is a dream, since generally, if I think it's a dream, then I had the capacity to think that, so I'm open to whatever explanation I can get for now.

So, it's the fault of that scriff stuff... well, nothing can be done about that now. I think briefly of my fiancee and daughter, and ask the guy, "So, what now?"

I think on that for a moment.

"You're right. My name was Kyler Cornelius Bryant Young. It's Kyree Brayrgoun Nylcolu from here on out."

"Well, I've studied a lot of different martial arts styles, but nothing serious, and I took a class on fencing in my physical education class in high school; due to my extensive role playing history I was a better amateur than my peers, but, I wouldn't really call any of those things the number one way I would solve problems.

"Fantastic." Sarcasm. "A dungeon crawl. I don't suppose you've got an infinite health cheat on you."

§

As an aside, when I said healing I meant a broader field than restoring damage intensities; it was even more geared towards healing disease and nullifying poisons than towards restoration of damage caused by other sources. I don't know if this makes you think it less boring or not, but that was more my aim.

Awesome.

"Maybe you could teach me some save my own --- skills while you're at it." I'm joking, joking.

"Don't suppose there's some kind of weapon laying around. Wouldn't do me much good anyway, I'd wager. I guess there's nothing for it but to go in; any idea what's on the other side?"

"Thanks, Magnus." I feel most comfortable with the butcher knife, so I'll take that and walk into the castle tentatively.

I'm going to try to walk past him, hoping he doesn't see me.

The Fullcure spell; is that an 8 minute TF or an rf 1/8? If it's the latter, I'll try to use that if he comes at me; if the former, I'll go for Cure 1.

I do have skill at sneaking, but I often use it without particularly meaning to; when I was younger, I had a few older friends who were interested in martial arts, and we would often play a game that we made together; it was for two players. Essentially, it was akin to Marco Polo on land; one person wore a blindfold and closed their eyes, and the other wasn't allowed to stop moving for more than five seconds or climb any trees. By feeling for vibrations in the ground and listening, the blindfolded one had to catch the one who was sneaking. We played it a lot and had a lot of fun while sharpening our senses and building our silent movement skills. (My silent movement skill actually also applies to in water; my four brothers and I are probably professional level Marco Polo players, judging by the skill level of the amateurs in the neighborhood who we could sometimes trick into playing with us.)

Unfortunately, in my adult life this has generally led to me saying something and a person practically jumping out of their skin, since they didn't realize I was standing right there. They tell me to stop sneaking around, and I tell them that I'm not trying.

In conclusion, if I have a sneaking skill, it's pretty high intensity at least and I use it pretty much all the time without thinking about it, and I'm not the type to argue and try to say I do if you say I don't.

I walk up to the suit of armor that looks highly stylized, and eye the wicked axe approvingly. Nice quality weapon.

I'm paying attention to the armors; do they seem to be watching me, or moving at all?

If I feel fairly comfortable, I'll take down the shield from the suit.

Do any of them have a dagger, dirk, or knife as a sidearm? That would probably be a better weapon than my butcher knife; I doubt I could use a longsword or a broadsword very efficiently; a rapier or a saber, or the other hand -- or a MA CHE TE...

Back up with a start, utter an expletive, and run away and deeper into the dungeon.

I'm not so sure I can kill it before it gets out...

but I will try to attack it.

Yay! I win. I'll take the shield and look around for any sidearm that looks better than my butcher knife; a lightweight sword or dirk would be nice.

O... k... definitely taking the rf 2 weapon like now. Going deeper in.

I'm probably mid amateur with the rapier.

I was pretty good at it, actually. Probably high intensity amateur. Had a lot of fun with that.

§

I'll try to sneak up on him and administer a full cure.

The range would depend on the type of ground. It's a lot easier on a more solid ground, but I learned on grass; it would be tougher on sand I would presume; it would probably be penalized if the person was standing on a different sort of terrain than I was, ie I'm on grass, he's on concrete, vice versa. On grass, it works best within five feet, but I'm sure it still works within ten feet; beyond that it's more hearing than feeling.

My rapier skill as I know it is a tech skill; most european weapons I would approach in this fashion.

§

My assumption is that I've put away the rapier and am holding the shield, so I'll go for a regular cure 1 on the zombie.

Ahh, my anticipation was that the use of the rf 1/8 magic skill meant that I could not use that spell again for 8 minutes. My apologies. I'll try to hide behind my shield and draw the rapier.

I'm happy to continue combat.

I will whirl around to face the thing approaching.

Nope, it's a BaTtle though

Sounds good to me.

I don't think I was injured, but if I was, I'll wait til I can use magic again and go ahead with a cure 1 on myself.

Then it's on to the door.

Okay... this will probably be a bad thing, but I will do battle with the rapier.

Okay, now, quick!

Time to use Save Life before it repieces.

If it puts itself together again before I can, it's another battle.

"Oh. Well, it certainly is a nifty ability. Thank you, Chaos."

Rise, turn, and face him.

"Why don't you come with me, Magnus? Your skill would definitely be helpful on this quest."

"Well, I don't want to upset Chaos, either, so if you could teach and train me, that would be great."

"Martial arts probably would be the best route to take; but magic sounds good, too. You seem to know better about what the enemy will do that I do; how about you teach me some martial arts and psionics and we'll try to go from there."

Martial arts-wise, Kyree would want to learn styles that sacrifice offense for defense. The ideal is slow defensive, 20 def sm, 40 def dammod, -20 offensive dammod, but -10 offensive sm is fine too. Special defenses such as parrying and dodging are also good. If he can teach me some sort of chi manipulation to heal people, that's excellent.

For psionics, the mental abilities IE read minds are always awesome, also are higher level abilities such as the (8@?) telekinetic forces. Psionic healing as well would be a +.

Magic, curatives and necromantics.

Sensing a common thread here? =P

Necromancy is the magic of life.

I'm interested is saving, prolonging life. When I say necromancy, I'm not referring to what 99% of people would refer to as necromancy; I'm referring to magic of restoring life to death, not magic of raising hordes of undeath.

You just returned home from purchasing THE ULTIMATE GAMING SYSTEM(TM) with Sriff Inside(TM).
It has slots for all the systems you can think of and a few you didn't.
You loaded up an old Metroidvania game. As you were reveling in the nostalgia it...exploded.
(I guess they don't make systems like they use to.)
You see yourself covered with a yellow liquid and then you fall unconscious.

In as state that is like being aware you are dreaming, you hear a LOUD voice.
"One who travels the sea between worlds, what POWER do you desire most?"

OOC: Try to keep the power simple, it'll be easier that way.

"Healing? Booorring!I think I will give you a little something extra <3 !"
(Yes, you heard the heart, you aren't sure how you heard it)

Suddenly you see many orbs of darkness that are somehow glowing with darkness
All at once, they rush into you and you feel new bits of knowledge embedding themselves into your brain as you examine a odd feeling one you blackout.

You awakening to the sound of someone beating on a wall.
you notice you things around and .. There's a zombie beating on an invisible wall! and there is visible cracks in the invisible wall!
It looks like it will beak trough soon. what do you intend to do?

It swings wild and misses.
You hit it's chest with your full cure spell.
It convulses and and turns into dust.
a small ball of darkness comes out of the dust and flies into you

OOC: Sorry I'm going to drop this until I have a better idea of what to do.

OOC: lets see how far we can get.

You in what appears to be the gate to the castle.
Your items are arranged roughly where they are in your house but in the direction of the nearest wall are piled up next to it.
The drawbridge is down, the only problem is that there is no land on the other side.
The moon is full and blood red. In its light you can see large THINGS flying around the castle.
You notice a shape coming in fast towards you.

That would be a good plan if there was a way into the gatehouse.
While looking for somewhere to hide, you notice that the shape is humanoid.
It's heading rapidly towards the ground. Just before it collides, it slows down immensely.
You could swear that you saw wings of dim light, but they're gone now

It's a man that's a little over six foot tall and built like a tank.
"Hello and Welcome to Castle Chaos! How many worlds have you visited before this?"

"That's as simple as I can say it... This is your first world isn't it?
Let me guess, you got a spiffy new item with the sriff inside tech.
It exploded or broke or something and you got hit with a yellow liquid and
suffered something lethal after that. Then you woke up here. Is that the case?"
