"Agreed. Who would know... maybe the priestesses of the temple of Persephone would know what can be done to heal a person who has been turned to stone by Medusa."
*Cass and Darla both look at you like you have two heads*
*Darla speaks up first*
"I don't think the women of any temples are going to help, no, in this book somewhere there is probably some options we have but we haven't even read through it once."
*Cass joins*
"Since I the only fluent reader, going to take some time, but at least, we got the history, we just need a direction to go."

"What I meant was, Cass should tell them some friends of hers had a nasty run-in with Medusa, and ask how petrification can be healed.

"I think the I'm a demon would work better than that line. I haven't seen any references to fantastic creatures here."
*Darla looks at Cass*

Of course, I'll come on to Darla hard so she can see just how much of a demoness Cass is. But that's a story for another place, if she goes for it.
*Darla is a little surprised, but receptive and Cass just snickers*

"You know, I've been thinking. It's hard for me to imagine the Goddesses being able to convince Apollo to go to an orgy, or even wanting to do away with him, for that matter. Maybe they had another motive for wanting to do away with him; for instance, wanting all of his many worshippers."
*Cass says*
"Who were male, just how many males worshiped the female gods? Seems to me, they did it out of spite, you destroy the temples, stone the gods, subjugate the men, seems like a trifecta for revenge. It would have been something I would have done in the old days."
*Darla says*
"Hell hath no fury like a woman scored."
I think on that for a moment, then respond, "I'm certain Apollo also had female worshippers. He was a very important God, and ruled over many things; just as Demeter must have had male worshippers, farmers."
*nods*
*Darla remarks*
"True, but in the grand scheme of things, when you deal with absolutes, you don't let little things like that matter. I think we need to fix the male gods temples, get worshipers, and free the men, but that's just my gut feelings."
*What do you wish to do?*
"That sounds like a good idea; what are the Goddesses going to do? Kill us?" I laugh at the irony.
First thing to do is finish reading this book if we haven't yet.
((The 20 GE roll says another two weeks, it's a tough read, older Greek, Cass spends time working on that, Darla and you try to help, but aren't that much and end up getting in trouble with each other more often then helping. Cass is teaching you two Greek in her spare time, Darla picks it up at a 1@2, so your both 1@3 at the end of 5-6 weeks of dealing with it))

"Well there is a map to all the locations, it was hidden in the story, one word at a time, but it is there, question is where to start?"

"It would be best to start with something relatively non-threatening, but well-loved. How about Dionysus?"

"Well that one looks to be in the north, through the farmland and vineyards of course, shall we head there."

We'll be going, bringing all our belongings, including my standard adventuring kit =P assuming I've still got that.

*A Pack Mule, is YOU, and you walk out into fresh air, not a cloud in the sky, you walk for awhile, and start to see farms in the distance, you take a break and sit on a rock, Cass and Darla are flirting back and forth and you shift the rock a bit and you fall on your arse, they laugh, you land on something, it hurts, feels like shoes*

I've got a pretty good idea of what they do, yes. I do have the concern that I'll be accosted by a divinity if I use them. I'm really more holding onto them til I can return them to their rightful owner; but I'll be keeping them with me until that's possible, even if I meet him in another world. Mercury is, after all, the planet which governs the astrological sign I was born under.
*Nods ok, you travel on to dark, you see several farms with barns near when it gets dark.*
"That could be a good place to hole up for the night, don't you girls think?"
*They choose a barn, it's late and don't want to disturb the owners, unless you want to, there is straw and animals, but it's better than nothing.*
I say to one of the farm animals, "Hey, you look familiar; are you related to Baronness?"
We pass the night quietly so as not to disturb the owners.

*You all three curl up together for warmth*

*You wake up in the light, and continue your travels, you see a mountain ahead, but there is a path cut around and up it, it will take time to get up and over, but it could have been much, much worse.*
Sounds good. We'll go ahead and take the footpath.
*It takes a good half day to get up and down the mountains, you see caves every once in awhile, if you decide to go into them, you can rest at the bottom if you'd like, you do see carrion birds around waiting to see if you die or something."

*You find a good place to camp for the night, you think you should reach it in another day of travel, Darla prepares dinner, some meat and dried cheese, and you three spend the night huddled in your bedrolls, and luckily no one comes to eat you.*
