My best hopes are that this place is not in terrible disrepair and won't take much to fix it.
My worst fear is a squadron of ten or twelve highly intelligent verser homosexual male narnian dragons putting me in a dress and making me call myself Shirley for the next very long amount of time. (You have to admit, that's something worth being afraid of.)
It would be pretty bad if there were some nasty venomous spiders here, too.
((GE roll of 21))
*You approach the ruins, and you hear a sound, and clattering, and you try to move and you realize you have stepped into some sort of sticky webbing.*
"Uhh, say, girls; I don't think we're alone in here. Someone want to give me a hand?"
*They try to move and they are stuck as well*
*They draw weapons*
*Cass exclaims*
"I'm pretty stuck here."
*Darla agrees*
"Same here, this isn't going to be fun."
*You hear things coming, actions?*
H'm. Other actions. No, nothing comes to mind. I doubt if I'm properly equipped, so I really will just try to free myself.
((I had assumed you were wearing armor with daggers once out of the city, if I am wrong, we can correct that))
I doubt I was; let me check; nope, it clearly says they loaded me up to make me look in-character, and I would expect that that meant no armor or weapons on me, just in case we met someone on the road. I find it really unlikely that I'd be armed or armored...
*Cass will toss you, your daggers, she would have held onto them for you, so you have them, and you have sandles*
*You start to see them, large 5 foot black and red spiders coming out of holes in the rubble, there are 6 of them, and they look hungry, and they are probably the reason for the sticky feet*
*You can try to cut through the webbing, but it is webbing, so actions before the first round of combat*
It is webbing; at least one of my daggers does fire damage, as I remember, so that may hopefully help me along.
*Nods the daggers do, is that what you wish to do?*
J
Yeah, I haven't got much choice here.
*Ok you start cutting through the webbing, it is thick once you get it off the ground, and it sticks to everything that's not the dagger. Good news, the dagger cuts through it, where probably most other things wouldn't. The bad news, the webs are highly flamable, and soon the whole area is ablaze, and the strands turn into a napalm like substance. The spiders hate fire, so they are content to ease back and see how you guys deal with it, you have one foot free by this point, and all of you are getting hurt*
J
Going for my other foot, then going for Cass. Sorry, Darla.
I bet Demeter's pissed at me for starting this fire.
((Roll of 55/10=5 damage a round from napalm fire, round one you all take 5 and are free, Cass takes a device out of her Catwoman utility belt and throws it at Darla's feet, and the foam puts out the fire for her. Darla has nothing she can do, round 2 you cut Cass's Right foot free, she takes 5 more, round 3 you cut her other foot free, she has 15 intensities of damage and is really hurt, you at 5 and Darla at 5))
I'm going to carry Cass and we're going to go out of the flames the way we came; hopefully the spiders are distracted enough not to give chase as we flee until we can't anymore, unless they're following, in which case m strategy is get out of the fire, protect Cass, use weapons and style against the nasty arachnids.
((11 GE roll, they do not follow, Cass casts a cure, and looks much better))
*Cass sighs*
"Magic is heavily penalized here, that worked, but barley."
"Maybe we should try to embrace the culture here and try praying for healing from one of the Goddesses?
((Roll was made but Cass still has issues))
"I see your point, but I have an issue preying to someone I don't believe in. Or at least that I believe is anyone worth believing in."
"I'm not saying you should worship them; I'm saying you should appeal to the power of someone with the ability."
*Cass is still not convinced*
"Asking them for the power to do something is just as much as admitting they are better than you, and you aren't good enough on your own to do it.
*Darla chimes in*
"Regardless, once the fire dies down, we will have to deal with the spiders."
"I'm not saying you're better than I when I ask you to heal me; I'm asking you to do something for me that I can't do." While I talk I'll get out my first aid supplies from our things to try to give each of us a little patch up before we get to combat.
*You each get back 2 intensities from the First Aid kit, you have about 5 minutes before the fire dies down to formulate any plans you want before combat ensues*
"So, these nasty things don't like fire. You wouldn't happen to have a flamethrower, would you, Darla, dear?
"I'll bet they're venomous. Do we have any way to deal with that, or should we commence to running now?"
*She shakes her head* ((GE Roll 23))
"No, but I have cans of hairspray and lighters, don't ask"
*Darla says*
"I do have a hypospray, it maybe future tech, but all it is, is a fancy injection system, should still work."
True, it should. "So, you guys are going to splash them with hairspray and I'm going to hit them to set them alight?
"What about the whole one hit and we're likely dead thing? I know a lot more about snake venom than I do about spider venom."
((You get a saving throw in D+D, I would say a resistance roll would be applicable, Darla could put an antidote in before your bit, if you want that, probably would be good for one, maybe two bites))
((I'd agree; little Ky spent quite a while in a d&d world, as much as took down a dragon, but a freakin spider killed him after it was dead, haaa, failed resistance check my foot))
I'm more concerned for Cass than myself. A little poison will just make me very uncomfortable.
*Darla injects you with a anti toxin mixture, generic*
*Combat again, you would have had enough time to don your armor, Cass and Darla are wearing theirs, Darla is in some sort of dancing sword style, Kass is well using her combat magic, which works and she is in style.*
I'm going to have to go with either a weapon dependent or weapon utilizing style; I guess I'll go with Dragon Rogue is probably my best bet for this off the top of my head.
*Ok combat*
*First round, three spiders miss three hit, you all miss your resistance saves, so one use down, You return 6 hits back, 2 spiders are down, others are hurt.*
*Next round, Cass and Darla make their saves, you miss one, make the other, you are out of protections, 91,98,14,6 for the good guys, 2 more spiders go down, leaving two up*
*Third round, a weak hit, and a miss by the spiders, and you miss your third resistance save, good news the spiders are dead from Cass and Darla killing them, and the poison wasn't fatal, it was paralyzing poison, you are now frozen, with baby spiders sacks injected into you, Surprise your going to be a daddy.*
Well, I was actually expecting a paralytic; most venoms don't actually begin digestion for the creature but hold it in place to be eaten (sometimes the paralysis causes death if it stops breathing or cardiac function).
Nothing I can really do, though.
((my phone dies shortly))
((I will leave it on a GE roll, you have two women with a vested interest to save you, and a Star Trek Medical Kit that may work, we'll leave it to the Dice fate 15 or less Saved, 16 or more proud Daddy of a thousand baby spiders that feast upon your body for food till you verse.))
((GE roll 20, despite the antics of your two women, the babies are born, cigars are passed around, and it's only a few minutes of hell as they finally eat enough of your organs to kill you))
