"Uhh... are you sure that's a great idea, Cass? I mean, I used to be quite close with a registered nurse, and I'm pretty sure involuntary reflexes like that aren't supposed to be interrupted..."
§
Alright.
Not blinking for eight hours can't be healthy. Let's see here...
The answer is, your tear ducts will start massive production to keep your eyes lubricated, your sinuses will flood, you will not be able to see before long at all due to all the mistiness from the tears and foreign particles settling on your eyes, and the whites of your eyes will turn bright red.
Sign me up =P
§
Ah well, if she does this to me, I guess the crying wouldn't have been able to be helped anyway, haha.
§
Edit: oh, I should mention, not blinking for extended periods could also cause blindness. That's a pretty big one to not mention, heh, figured it was a given though.
*She sighs*
"Whatever you big baby, if you didn't want to try, shouldn't have asked, I won't bother to waste time next time. You caused your hangups, not me."
*she cuts you free and walks out*
I tell her, "I thought it was a given that I didn't want to try." I stand up and follow her. "If I wanted to like kids, don't you think I would? If I wanted to fight someone without seeking another solution, wouldn't I? The problem is exactly that I don't want to. If you didn't want to try to fix it, well, you were the one who offered."
*She stops and turns around*
"I offered to try and help, since you seemed receptive to trying. If you don't meet halfway, and attempt to help yourself, I can't force you to do so. That was as close to forcing you as possible. So if that is going to be your level of trying, I'm not going to be able to help."
I ask her, "How can I help? I'll try to do what I can."
*She sighs*
"You have to be willing to try, unless we build and program a computer to tap into your mind and just fix you, your going to have to say, yes I know I'm messed up, and even though I don't want to be near kids or start a fight, I will fight through the impulses and try to stand through it ((I did explain the willpower rolls in the earlier thread))"
*She is concerned*
Bumpis
*She nods and it's a reasonable compromise, and is happy to have you spending time with her.*
*She is an even teacher, she is quite good at training, and is really good with the kids, they seem to like her, even when she is hard on them. Their parents do say that their children are behaving better, and are more focused, so they are happy to have their kids learn.*
*Your adults are fine, the building of the secondary structures is going fine ((GE roll 15))
*She shakes her head*
"No that one is going to require a situation you didn't start and wasn't engineered. I'm sure it will happen naturally. That's my take on it, your mileage may vary.
*I am making a GE roll, what is good for you or bad for you in that department?*
((GE 13))
*No one starts trouble with you in the next few months, and nothing changes in terms of contact. They do however get the communications array up and operational, as well as the space telescope. The Starport is complete as well, and the robots are making some fabrication ships to launch into orbit to start on things up there.*
*Class goes smoothly, and your students are progressing well, some are close to the professional barrier.*
I don't have an outline, so am I to assume it's just training your minions er people and Cass teaching her kids until something happens?
*13 GE roll, another smooth 6 months, the fabricators are just turning out robot after robot, making robo farms, and building other cities, your students are at 2@1, how are you increasing their training?*
((GE roll 18))
*The students you are training are taking longer to train the new people, because their training is low, I am going to assume you are not going to wait. Your students have taken on 30 new people, between the 10 of them, so they are getting started on the defensive style.
*The Captain calls you in*
"The people monitoring the communications array, once they got the satellites up, they are picking up terran chatter. I am perplexed on what to do at this point."
((GE 16))
*The Captain says*
"The nature of the communications is normal traffic. Ships contacting stations and colonies and Earth. I know you were worried about contact, so I wanted to know how you wished to proceed."
*Cass states*
"Well Arz, you and I have the least to lose if things go badly, with that said, if that is normal traffic, and it has been for a set period of time, then I have no problem with an SOS signal."
*Since you both are in agreement we will push time forward a big, saying the Captain did send such a message*
*Six weeks to the day later, the sky darkens, as if a thousand birds have blocked out the sun, then the shuttles come down*
"The Captain and the crew are not practicing martial arts today, they are in uniform and ready to be seen."
*The first hundred shuttles land in the starport, and the rest around the city as armed strike teams swarm out, each in power armor.*
*The Captain starts to sweat a bit, wiping his brow, hoping he made the right decision, it takes an hour, but eventually someone in gold and black armor instead of the silver and black that is normal, comes up to your group, the Captain Salutes him.*
"Captain Chris Capsion, leader of Project Utopia, sir."
*The being in Gold and Black armor salutes when saluted and the facemask comes down*
"Major General Frankling R Davis, of the Earth Battlefleet Valient, we are surprised to get a signal from here, we thought the Shadows wiped out this colony."
*The general didn't know you were there, but is not startled that you appear in front of him, like he is used to that happening*
*He turns to you*
"What exactly is a dimensional verser? As for an evacuation, that is not necessary, what you see before you is a warfleet. It will be based in this sector, once Terran Command knew we were being attacked, the war machine rolled into place."
*The Captain says*
"So it seems there is no Utopia?"
*The General says*
"No, but all the terrans and colonies are working as one, so in my book, that is just about as good."
((Persuasion 25 failure, Willpower 14 success))
*The general looks you up and down*
"I don't know who you are boy, but you keep your crazy talk to yourself civilian. Let the officers handle the war and training. We'll try to find something to let you decorate."
*Obviously a no nonsense military commander*
((Well this is unexpected, Persuasion you 4, Willpower 8, both successes))
*The General points in your direction and four sets of distortion beams are coming at you*
"You are dismissed"
((61, 89, 91, 96 all misses, They are using RF 10 weapons, you can steal init and try something, interesting indeed))
*I rolled many times, lots of low rolls, but your style and all your defenses are up, you are now harder to hit*
*They take 2 more shots at you each*
*They miss or evade 7 shots, and you get tagged once for 5, the general puts his hand down.*
"You made my best miss 11 times out of 12, I will accept your story as truth, Medic please see to Civilian Arzaye, *you are treated by a woman in power armor, with what looks to be a wand, your wound and pain go away quickly, as the General gets debriefed by the Captain, Cass is standing next to you, waiting to say something."
*The Medic leaves and she has her opportunity*
"Had to challenge the brass balls didn't ya?"
*She grins*
*Cass nods*
*The Captain comes to the both of you.*
"The General is interested in you, both of you to join up. He can't promote you directly to a command position, but he can treat both of you like educated recruits, with the rank of 2nd Lt."
J
*Cass smiles*
"I got the most likely not to work well with others nomination, but if it is for the betterment of these people sure. I don't think we are power armor material, but recon or scout troops, sure."
*You two are wearing the same armor, Cass is good with ranged as well as melee, which means you need to work on your ranged combat, and sniping skills.*
*The General gives you a good look up and down and calls the requisition office to him.*
*Casual, Dress Uniforms, Bars, and this one needs a long ranged weapon, bring him the Impaler.*
*The requisition officer is back in fifteen minutes with the gear. The Impaler is like a .50 Calibur Sniper Rifle, with half the weight, and fires concentrated bullets of antimatter, it doesn't have ammo, but it does can overheat and if it does, it hurts and it takes awhile to cool down.*
*This is not a hand carried explosive-driven slug thrower, it is a hand carried magnet-driven slug thrower*
*The Captain whistles*
"That weapon is truly a work of art, if you had to not wear power armor, that would be the reason to do so."
*Cass is impressed*
"I was a little down that I didn't find two Gauss Rifles, but it looks like you have one that's akin to my own."
((Stats, Normal Sniper Rifle Ranges, Ammo, Antimatter Drum, effectively unlimited, Fatal to start))
*You see dropships fall from the sky, there are easily a thousand ships up there, dropping prefabricated bases on the planet, dropping more manufacturing robots and factories. It looks like they came prepared to recolonize and defend this world. You hear words of them building a Star Fortress above the planet, as well as three shipyards. They give the impression that they aren't taking any chances this time, and they are mobilized for the long haul.*
*You had a Colonel in Recon evaluate you both, he noted you need no training on most any skills other than technology, and even that is basic usage of systems you will be using. You are assigned to planetary duties as they basically technoize this world.*
*You do so, but those are low priority things, so it will be a week until entertainment is gotten to. It seems that Terrans have gotten their act together, blending technology almost seamlessly with bodies and nature. The cities are technological marvels, the military bases are spartan, but are highly effective placement of arms and armor. Once the seed ships have put the infrastructure in, homes and suburbs are being built from the terraformed trees, this planet once dead and lifeless, has been changed to a metal and organic gaia. No deserts, no icecaps, it really is a marvel that you and Cass cannot get over.*
*You do your Martial arts when your duties allow, 20 GE roll*
*In a month all military troops get called into a training facility*
*Is there anything you want to do before then?*
*The briefing starts*
"Shadow have not taken our reclamation of Proxima and her system lightly. They have stepped up efforts in the nearbye systems. The bad news for them, this time we were prepared, Proxima system is out lynchpin of our strategy. We have constructed Star Fortresses, and robot factories in the astroid belt. We have no less than 10 shipyards constructing ships, and more battlegroups on the way. They may have caught us sleeping, but they awoke an angry tiger."
*Cheers and whatnot*
"We will begin to ship out to push them back soon, if you wish active duty and promotions, that is the way to get them quickly."
*She agrees with your assessments but also points out that while we are here, more promotions means more perks, which are nice. With that said, she is looking forward to kicking some teeth in without having to hold back. You sign up and are assigned ((looks at GE roll)), a Destroyer, it isn't the flagship, but it is a ship likely to be in the front lines. You are to report to UTS Hannibul at 08:00*
*The night is yours to do with as you will, what plans?*
*Cass smiles*
"I can teleport very well thank you, I can also operate a teleporter system, but I would think we would have seen it already if this group had one. I can train you how to do many things, it's a question of if you have the foundation to learn something so hard to do. It is up to you my sweet, but I demand champagne tonight either way."
*She grins*
"All you ever had to do is ask."
*She is not talking to you out loud, but in your mind, and is now giving you instructions on how to read hers if you are interested.*
*17, 1@1 Read Minds, would you like to try to do a telepathy back, you do have an example and teaching?
((29, seems pretty easy to you :P))
*You say that back to her and she mentally smiles 1@1 Telepathy to Humans P1@3
"Very good grasshpper. I have a pretty good assortment of mind abilities, so I should have no issue getting your abilities up if you so choose" *In your mind*
*She thinks back*
"The next few will rob you of your freedom, so warning you now."
*She waves her hand in front of you*
"You want me to use my mind powers on you, so you have a basis to learn."
*You resist and she rephrases*
"You want to lose control so that you have a basis to learn."
*You do not resist and you feel compelled to do so*
*She then operates you like a remote control car, getting up, making her a drink, and coming back and setting it in front of her and sitting you back down.*
*She then tried to take possession of your body, she does, you throw her out, she tries again but fails, and the last time she places her hand on yours and tries it one more time, she is in and you are pushed down and she is in control, she has you sit in her lap and kisses her passionately, and then lets you go.*
*She grins*
"Now you should have good examples for doing all three of those abilities*
((She said the words, but she was using her connection to you to show you what she was thinking and doing))
*She gets up pulls down her pants and lays across your thighs ready for her punishment.*
1@1 Suggestion P1@4
*You try it, it is resisted, you place your hand on here and then you have control, she reclothes and sits down*
1@2 Remote Control 1@9
*You take control of her, put an ice cube down her back and release control of her.*
1@1 Possession P1@10
*She grins*
"I wasn't worried you were, cupcake."
*She responds*
"I know you can fight it regardless, if it is something harmful to themselves, I'm sure they could fight you again."
*She shrugs*
"The sky is the limit, really."
Bumpus
*The skill does not work when you use it*
*The waitress gives you a cold look*
"No I will not pick up your check, creep."
*She walks away*
Bump
