Jewel promises to get Bairei to change his line of thinking. She's been doing an excellent job with the responsibilities you've given her.
Chiko asks you, "Is it that you have to use the power you have to protect people who can't protect themselves?"
*Nods and tosses her a bottle of wine from the pouch*
"For being an adult, and trusting you not to finish it off in one night, let me know when you are out."

"That's close enough, or at least the intent is there. Power breeds responsibility. Having great power means knowing when to use it, and when not to use it. You remember when you weren't powerful enough to defend yourself, now you will have to decide if you should use the power, how much, and to what purpose. It's a big responsibility, one you can't run away from. I think the next battle, you will avail yourself much better."

Chiko nods to you after looking dumbfounded a few moments. "Thank you, Jhiaxus-sensei."
Jewel eyes the wine a moment, then smiles to you, hugging it against herself.
Are you going to be watching her with Bairei?

"Now you have the ability to protect others and yourself, it's a big responsibility."

Jewel approaches Bairei, and says to him, "You know, there are some things that you can't get through brute force."
He looks at her quizzically.
"Myself, for instance," she tells him with a suggestive smile, and she walks away.
He's looking after her speechlessly.
*Nods, I figured that would be her method, she is an adult, it will present problems down the line if both get to like each other. In this world, kids are being made to do adult killing, so I have no problem with the ages, as long as she isn't doing it to hurt him, I let her carry on.*

She continues tactfully oer several days, and it's becoming clear that he's interested, so he finally asks her, "Well, if brute strength isn't the answer, what is?"
"You're a big boy," she responds teasingly. "I'm sure you'll figure something out."
After a few days of helpless attempts to woo her, in desperation, Bairei turns to you.
"I've got a problem," he tells you, beating around the bush. "I've never actually had a problem like this; one that I can't look in the face and beat down. I need something else. Can you teach me?"
He seems willing to learn.
*I nod to him*
"I am here for anything, but yes, there are many problems and foes you can't face and beat down. The key is accepting that the approach you are using is not going to work. As a ninja, you will find people too powerful to hit head on, too smart to let you hit them head on, and ones too fast to land a hit on. My advice, unless you are the distraction, and you go into a defensive shell, rushing blindly at a problem or foe, don't do anything but get you beat down. When I tackle an opponent or problem, I look for weaknesses, what they like, what they favor, what they tend to do, if what they say is the same as what they are doing. I examine the problem quickly, make an assessment, and I go with it, knowing that I might have to change my approach on the fly. With all that said, what is the particular problem, and what do you need to be taught?"

"Good job, if and when he does impress you enough to "win" you, are you planning on keeping him? I have to ask, I have no problem with you doing so, if you are serious about it. If you intend to have those intentions toward him, you are walking down a path where you and him are likely going to be versers. One bad reverse aging attempt can end him and yourself, and he will age like a normal human. I had a similar issue with Val when she was first created. I came up with a solution to infect her with scriff magically, but you are basically making a expiration date on your time in this world. It was a subject I was going to broach later, but it seem right to discuss this with you now. I do plan on getting myself killed at the end of the war, and offering all of you the ability to become versers."
*Pauses*
"I do have to ask about Eria, has she ever grown up in relation to her physical form. She will reach 13, but did she grow more mature in mental things as she did? I think you know the reason why I am asking, since I want her to be happy, and if Bairei and you get together, that makes the choice Chiko and Eria, if both like each other. Aki and Nic would be the other. Not that I am planning anything, but with kids becoming teenagers, hormones do roar."

Bairei flushes and answers you, "Uh, it's nothing important. Really. Thank you for your advice, though; it's very helpful."

Jewel narrows her eyes at you, then gets an amused look in her eye and titters softly.
"Me? And one of them? I doubt it highly."
She considers the question regarding Eria. "Well, Eria's always been little -- her thirteen looks more like nine. When you talk about maturity, what defines that? I'd say that in some ways she's more mature than I am. Of course, if all you see when you look at her is the little girl on the outside, she'll be more than content to play into that conception."
*Grins at Jewel*
"You'd be surprised about how being treated as an adult, and being around a person can change perceptions. I was just asking, he is into you, that's all I am saying."

"He's supposed to be into me; that's the point of this exercise. Pubescent boys are often attracted to girls they think are attracted to them," she smirks. "After the seed of the idea is planted, it doesn't take much to foster it into obsession, so I'll be careful."

"Yes and women often find themselves attracted to those boys despite themselves. You have started something, you didn't fully think out. I'm glad he is willing to think differently now, but now you have a boy willing to go outside his comfort zone in order to get your attention. He might come back to me, and I might have to help him. *grins*

*I have no problem fast forwarding through to the point where it will likely be fun for you again. The simulations are just that, showing them the major players. Bairei will eventually be given his set of powers once he shows that he can think other than charging in. I will dote on Victoria, teach her all I know, my wives I already dote on, and Eria and Jewel both get my attention as well.
The only real choices are if Aki is going to want to learn more Rasengan, and who if any should learn Sage Mode and or/The 7 Gates. I'm thinking probably none of them, the only one who could handle them and be wise enough to use them are Aki.
The choice is up to you, I give you the option to do that if you wish, Just with the training they have now, they are a match for anyone, if they continue through the rest of the years, they will be formidable.

Heh, what made you think I wasn't having fun? If I wasn't having fun, I'd throw some curve ball or another your way; of course, in this world, there isn't much -- okay, there really isn't anything that stands a remote chance of taking you out that isn't alien to this world. I could always throw a couple hundred dragons your way, but I'm interested in seeing where the scenario leads still.
With that in mind, I'm confident speeding things along until the end of the events of the series which are playing out around you and oblivious to you and yours -- Danzo will have all but forgotten about you over the years, and he's the only person you've met who'll still be living by that time.
Of course, it'll take a few GE rolls; if you aren't averse to that, I can see where speeding things along to get closer to a more fast-paced scene would be nice.
I was just checking to make sure, I'm good with some GE rolls. The sad part is all the doing training/killing time pretty much came about with Eria, Jewel and Nic, taking care of them and then Victoria. I couldn't verse out leaving her not grown up at least to the point of knowing who she is, instilling values. With that said I am curious what the GE rolls say, and getting to the point where I don't feel necessary to follow a script. Besides Danzo has a date with Sasuke. Pretty much, my concerns are letting the Leaf Village kids, grow into their own, like the show, and of course Naruto. The war will be a big enough backdrop, that some interesting things should come about.
I am curious if Victoria has the Sharingan, since she was "conceived" after I changed my eyes.
I will make weapons for the kids, Val and Jef, since by that time I should be 3@10, did Jef ever find that Star Metal? I assume he was done with the Duster by then as well, I will have it be black with red flames at the bottom, aside from anything else it might do.

Sixteen years of GE rolls, nothing really bad or super great, but a tendency towards better rather than worse; no better than remarkably good but not unexpected, and no worse than nearly as bad as anticipated.

This brings your Genin to their late twenties. Nic appears to be in his early twenties, and Jewel her late teens. Eria looks ten or eleven at best, but the petite appearance is normal for her. Tan, Rid, and Jef look to have not aged a day from when you met them. Tan and Rid get along slightly better than sixteen years ago, but not as well as you might like. Your duster is completed; it is a magic artifact which is activated when it is struck, and releases a burst of radiant energy at a lethal level. Jef did find star metal, and you do find a way to work in into weaponry. Any preference on what weapons?
Vicky does not have the sharingan; it is apparent that she was conceived immaculately and is essentially a clone of Valera, judging by appearance and personality. She does take very well to the martial arts training.

Jef also has weapons of quality; he still has the weapons issued to him before he quit.
You have trained them in multiple weapons, and none of them have a particular preference.
The clothing Jef makes does not have the one-size-fits-all quality of the others, but is quite decent as armor; the cover value is not as good, as it does not protect the feet, hands, or head, but it is still nothing to sneeze at. Akimitsu is brown and red, Bairei is brown and green, Chiko is dark and light blue, Nick is black and blue, Jewel is red and black, Eria is black and yellow, Valera is gold and silver, Victoria is white.
Eria responds to you, "No thanks, I'm happy just being your little girl forever."
All the children have formed a relationship beyond that of just friends; they are more tightly knit, closer to being family.
Victoria accepts the offer and Valera rejects it; a classic example of nature vs. nurture.
Any response to any of this before we continue?

"We have some stories of a Keiharuki Sannin who came to the village years ago who snuck past all our security and stayed with us for a few months, then disappeared as mysteriously as he came with the Genin he was training; they're just stories to frighten the little ones," he trails off, looking mystified by the appearance of you and your group.
"BOO" *grins* "Did you hear that guys, we have become legends in places other than our own minds."
*pauses*
"We are very real, we left for the protection of the village, at this point, you have been attacked and war is going to happen. We have trained the genin, and my children. You now have three full squads of trained Leaf Ninjas that you didn't have before. I assume the 5th Hokage is still in a coma? Yes I know of the events of the last decade and a half, and who am I speaking to?"
