Then, to you, "So, I'd propose an exercise where we throw them to the ground, and they absorb the impact and then regain their feet and fighting stance as quickly as possible."
*Nods as we are taking the package back*
"Jonin Tan brings up a good point. We finished a mission, when you finish a mission, you get the rest of that day off. Don't think I'm going to let you off that easily though. Bairei and Chiko, you are to go home, and request that your parents come and see me, to teach you, your family Jutsu. I can see that you three are not going to be satisfied without being challenged, and if you want that, you came to the right place. Tomorrow, we get you some more basic skills you will need in combat, work on the ones you know, and get you three into a fighting TEAM. You three should have worked together on that, and I will drum it into you three, that you aren't better apart then when you are together."

"Alright," Bairei says reluctantly.
"Where should they meet you?" A question that clearly shows that Chiko intends to do his homework.
Akimitsu looks like she takes the criticism harder than the other two.
*Considers*
"With my afternoon off, I'm going to spend it at the island in the middle of the lake, play my guitar, play some harmonica and try to learn a song. I will be there till after dinner, probably 8 or 9 pm."
*Returns the cat and registers this as a successful mission*

The adult shrugs helplessly, but apparently, this mission was a success; that was the cat in question.
Bairei and Chiko split up and leave.
Tan looks at Akimitsu, shakes her head, and tells her, "I'm disappointed in you, Kiki. You should have known better than to try to do that mission by yourself. Next time, think before you act; your brain is a better weapon than your body. It's what sets you apart from the animals."
During the entire lecture, Akimitsu looks at the ground, her cheeks burning.
*Waits for Tan to finish*
"Jonin Tan is right, but also know she is tough on you, because she knows you can handle it and take it. Getting chewed out by her, is what you want and need. Now with the bad the good, you used the clone to great effectiveness today. We just expect more from you, since you have the ability. All three of you will be great ninja, but you will be the glue that holds you all together to make you great. Ok enough talk, you need a new skill to work on too."
*Shows her how to do the Rasengan*
"I have some water balloons for you to fill up, they will be ball like, like this ball of energy, you will use only your chakra to spin it in multiple directions at once to get it to break the balloon."
*Grins*
"This skill requires no hand signs, so it can be used quicker than most other Jutsu. I think this will be appropriate for your second skill, don't you agree?"

This sounds to me like a 7@10 non-contact damage skill?
*Well it is the Rasengan, so it would be whatever skill that is, just teaching it in stages, we agreed it was a Rasengan B7@7 Manipulate Chakra attack, same with the Chidori, but you need the Sharingan to use it, you never gave me a SAL on each, so it never got on my sheet.*
Ahh; and you haven't yet visited the Between to train them up, have you?
*rolls percentiles*

Akimitsu grasps the concept with little difficulty, and is soon popping balloons.
*No, I suspect while training these three, I will train them up the old fasioned way, I figure when I get to a 2@, I can do the Two Balls, or Great Ball, and at 3@, I can add the Wind element, water, fire, lightning and earth, to make different skills as a rider? I am here for a number of years, I figure train them up normally*

Chiko's father comes to meet you. He tells you his name. He's a shifty looking little man.
"You wanted to see me?"
*Nods and bows his head a bit*
"Chiko is at that stage where he is training the fundamentals, but he needs something to work on in his offtime to get to that next level. He mentioned your family has some Jutsu that is known to them. I was hoping you could show me, so I could instruct him, and give him something to keep his mind engaged when not doing the repetition that training the fundamentals gives."
"I've shown him a few jutsu," Chiko's father says. "I'd rather keep our family jutsu where it belongs. In the family. Is there anything else I can help you with?"
*smiles*
"That's fine, I just wanted to make sure he has it and trains it."

*places one of his balls in her hand*
"Now use your chakra forcefully, to force that ball to pop in your hand."

When you tell her what to do, Tan winces and giggles. Akimitsu looks at her in confusion, then focuses her chakra on the ball in her hand.

11 is better than 0. Still, it makes a difference between a 181 and a 192 percent skill learning chance of success in this case.
A roll of 23 is good for 5 intensities healed and a 1@1 SAL for the skill.

The bleeding slows to a non-lethal level, and her palm grows under your guide along with half her thumb. She stops screaming, and is staring dumbfoundedly at the new limb.
Tan nods to you, just as Jef is appearing, looking concerned. "What'd I miss?"
*I will learn a regular P6@3 Heal other to heal her damage so the bleeding stops while her limb regrows, 1@1 Example handbook, etc.*

"Akimitsu soft of blew off her hand, it happens, and she is making me learn healing that I never learned, I had forgotten it wasn't in the program."

Her hand does not seem to still be regrowing.

92 is good for 1@3 and 9 intensities at the baseline, though, I believe, double for a 2@ RSV I think, so 18. Nowhere near the amount of damage her old hand took, but well past that which her entire body could take.

The bleeding in her hand ceases, and Jef is looking at her new palm and stump of a thumb. "Not your best work, I'd wager. You want a hand? I mean, uh, a little help? Or are you gonna try again?"
*Looks at him*
"I was learning it on the fly, I thought it would regrow over time, It was sort of grab her arm to keep her from bleeding out. So please help, since I am not that good at this."

Her hand regrows.
*Sighs a breath of relief*
"You know what not to do now, we will continue this tomorrow, we will get you a plate of greens, some red meat and you rest tonight."
*Takes her back home and heads out to the lake with his guitar and harmonics*

Jef volunteers to stay with her. "In spite of having her hand back, that sort of accident can be very traumatic. Someone who can help if things turn sour should be present with her for at least a few hours. At your service."
*Nods*
"Thanks, I'm not really in the right mind to deal with it right now either, since it was my fault for not having it trained high enough to prevent teaching it to her in a faulty way.
*Heads to the Island, considering going to the inbetween to train it up*
Jef responds, "Don't blame yourself. Any new ability takes a lot of trial and error to get right."
Tan goes to the island with you, excited about getting a chance to hear you play again.
Both of Bairei's parents are waiting there for you.
